Wow, time flies when your busy!
Ok, as a local, I can answer that question easy. The local major employers are the Coolidge Unified School District, Safeway, Walmart, IGA Shopes, Bright International (Cosmetic Firm) a propane plant & it's also the home of Central Arizona College. Other than that, people either drive 15 minutes to Casa Grande, 15 minutes to Florence, 30 minutes to Chandler, 40 min. to Mesa, or 45 minutes to Phoenix for employment. There is a state developmental facility & a few private & state prisons, located south of Coolidge. Some residents drive to work in Florence at some of the federal or state private prisons as well. There are no malls here, unless you drive to Casa Grande.
One great thing about Coolidge is it'll be breaking ground for the new "PhoenixMart" that will bring 1,000's of new job to Pinal County & Central Arizona. I want to say the general population of Coolidge is around 20,000 or more. I hope this helps you, though.
