Sandy
This loss might be a blessing in disguise. Look for the positives. New house, exercise, weight loss, more time with your family?
Keep up the faith. It all happens for a reason.
Hurrican Sandy
I am new to your program and was surprised to have the opportunity to help others with your financial support. THANK YOU! We were expecting the storm to hit our area early on, but we were fortunate enough that it was almost no effect to us. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone suffering.
Thoughts and Prayers
I wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone who has just come through this devastating hurricane named Sandy that you're all in my thoughts and prayers. I see how you're suffering... huddling around trash can fires... some fires fueled with what remains of furniture that once sat in warm homes, sifting through rubble... and I wish I could JUMP THROUGH THE TV SCREEN to where you are and bring you generators, warm, fluffy blankets, space heaters, hot & delicious stews and rolls! Like Alice and the Looking Glass I wish I could step through and come to you. Because I'm not able to be with you in the physical, I am with you in the Mental, the Emotional, and more importantly... in the Spiritual. We hear what you're saying, that it feels as if you're all forgotten. WE WON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT FORGET YOU! The Lord God hears your cries in the cold darkness and He won't turn His back on you... Believe it! May God bless and protect every one of you and the hairs on each of your heads. "Fear Not" for HE is with you all. With Love from Denton, Texas... Terri

Hurricane survival
One of the lessons I learned from Hurricane Fran was to have Coleman gas stoves and lanterns available and fueled. Now, I am adding box ovens and charcoal to that mix. www.macscouter.com/cooking/docs/BoxOven.pdf
My prayers are with them. This hurricane was a late arrival. Keep up the hope, it will get better. My wife and I went over 2 weeks without power. It was really nice to get a hot shower when the power came back.

Thanks for all the good that you do. Please do whatever you can to support all those affected. May God bless them and help them get back on their feet as soon as possible.
I'm really sorry that people
I'm really sorry that people have to go through these kinds of things.
At times like these I just wish I could say something that would make everybody feel like they are going to be okay, even though it may take more time than anyone wants it to.
But even though words fail me, the fact is that God will bring us through.
Hurricane Sandy
Thank you Dean for doing what you are doing to help all those effected by this storm. Your generosity comes from the Lord Jesus!
Prayer:
"Heavenly Father we ask that you pour your blessings on all the individuals that got hurt by the storm ...please Lord, replace all losses with your blessings, and let those effected be aware of all the blessings that come from You. Phil. 4-6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
...in Jesus Name we pray, Amen"
Give thanks when it's hard to do so
My thoughts are with all of the people affected by hurricane sandy. It must be such a stressful and difficult situation to live through. Although it may be difficult now, giving thanks and recognizing what you do have can give your hearts lightness during these times. I give thanks to all the wonderful people out there helping and lifting people who can't lift themselves now. All my blessings to you folks.
Prayers for Victims Of Sandy.
I Live on the western boarder of CT. Midway up the state. We lost power for 4 days and suffered no damage although others very close by did. I consider myself very lucky and thank my Guardian Angels.
To see the devastation and loss of life caused, should make everyone stop and re-evaluate what they are grateful for and how they proceed from here.
Included in the long list of things that I am grateful for is people like Dean who have the ability to positively effect people's live and the strength of character to do so.
Our hearts go out to the victims of the storm and we pray to God them and to welcome the souls of those that we lost, into his loving embrace as he welcomes them home. Amen
Thanks Dean
I live in N.J. and this has been unreal!
We did not get is as bad in the northwest part of the state compared to the coast but bad enough to turn lives upside down.
God Bless all affected!

I can't belive how few comments there are!
Wow. With hundreds of thousands of people using this site, I'm saddened that there are not 10,000 comments on this blog yet!
I pray for the suffering people on the East Coast and ask that all you DG members would post a comment to help raise money to help some of them.
Sandy
I hope everyone who was affected by this storm recovers from it as quickly as possible. So many people are thinking of you and praying for you and sending help in whatever way they can.
God bless.
To those in pain
It is always darkest before the dawn. I’ve lived my whole life in Florida and understand what it is like to be without power for weeks due to a Hurricane. I pray that the nights don’t get too cold. Keep your chin up. Lots of people are thinking, praying, and hoping for you.

Strength in Numbers
These are the times when we pull together & help the person next to us. This is not the first, nor will it be our last disaster we will face. But reaching out gives us faith that we can make it through because we are not alone. You are not alone East Coast, stay strong & stay sane. My prayers and blessings to you all. Thanks! Dean.
storm sandy victims
Our thoughts and prayers have been and continue to be with all of those on the east coast, picking up the pieces and putting their lives back together. Resilience and patience be with them all!
East Coast Devastation
I know that God communicate with us in different ways. This is something I learned over the years. I lost my wife over 43 years and never got married again. Not that I never think about it, But it never happened. She translated an left me with three boys. Today they are family men and doing great.
I can say over the years there were many lessons learned that made me the man I am today. I express my gratitude to god every day.
So I say to you all who are going through this devastating devastating ordeal, try to find the message, the lessons, and keep loving your God because He still loves You, Me and All on US.
May the Blessings Be.
Super Sandy
To all of you who have been touched by Sandy, my heart aches for you. I grew up in New England, and I know that part of the country rarely has to deal with hurricanes. Our adversities in life make us stronger, and although it may seem hopeless right now, please remember that "This too shall pass".
May God bless you all.
Peggy
