Moving forward

I enjoyed your weekly blog. I agree with what you said about running this race of so many things to do. You said your daughter isn't the fastest person in the world but you was motivating and pushing her to move foward at the rate of speed that she run with. I thank you for motivating your students to push past the competition and to do it with consistency. We might not be the fastest to get to the finish line but we will get there because of the coaching spirit that you have to help us get there.

One step at a time with my husband on board!

Dean, I had written to you before that my husband would not want to attend your seminar, which is making it difficult for me to get on board. However, I was able to finally encourage him to attend the February 2nd live event in Victorville/Hesperia. He was impressed with the presentation, however, we were not able to sign up for the three-day workshop. I bet you know what the problem was - money! I asked if we could register on installment but was told we needed $1,000 at least to start. We didn't have that amount. We stayed and listened to Wayne Gray's Tax Lien presentation. This time I asked Wayne if there is an installment plan and he worked with us with a start-up of $500, which we have. Notice it's 2:31 a.m. and I am still awake. It's because I tried to learn as much as I could about the newbiz that I am so excited to get into, not just by myself, but with my husband. Yesterday's seminar was not my first, but with my husband being there, it made a lot of difference. Why? Because he is my financier and until he was convinced that this is a good business to start with, he won't finance it for me.
One step at a time...he is also looking into someday register for the three-day training for real estate. Let us see how the tax lien business would work for us. Wish James and I the best. Thanks for your encouragement and persistence in following up with your prospective students.
Great to know your daughter had the stamina to run a mile.
God bless!

Weekly Wisdom #220

There are many steps in our life. And I am trying to TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME.I sometime think I'm moving to slow but I hope to finish the race regardless. Wonderful story with you and your daughter. Sometimes just being there with them gives them the courage to please you. Great story.

I wanted to do 1 step at a time but...

I bought 3 rentals in December at the Summit. It has been nutty back & forth between PropertyDirect, Guardian, Affinity, property mgmt. companies in 2 states & Veil. I have yet to complete the asset protection blueprint as I've been crazy with details over 2 Michigan properties & just last week finally got the adjustments & issues ironed out. Still waiting on docs for closing the Alabama property. They say it's slow title as they are "backlogged". There were vacancy, pest control, property mgmt, insurance & credit $ issues... At last! 2 of 3 closing docs are in the mail to be rec'd. 2/5/13 & the property mgmt agreements & all docs are submitted to Michigan. I did have to register as a foreign LLC in Alabama to be able to have the LLC buy the property. I keep getting hurdles. No matter WHAT, I WILL NEVER GIVE UP! I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed for 2 months! My local r.e. group hasn't even contacted me in a week, since I missed a mtg. & my car wouldn't start. (It's 20 yrs old!). That doesn't count the O ring leak, mice problem, clogged sink, leaking pipes & dryer that stopped heating! I also work a job 4 days/week & am 1 person. ANYWAY, the bottom line is if you never quit you WILL prevail! I need LOTS of emotional support as I live with an ailing doberman, 2 re-homed parrots & 2 borrowed cats, (mice issue), from my sister. There is zero support except for DG so thank you for all who have helped me not give up when I felt like crying, & did... I look forward to the day when I'm financially secure so I may help others in my situation. Thank YOU! Keep the inspiration & support coming. YAY!

Our "Why"

Thanks for a great reminder Dean!
It's easy to lose perspective, and we love the inspiration we get from your blogs.
Looking so so forward to the Edge this year!

Thanks Dean!

I'm still hanging, on, just catching up. Great advice, so totally needed right now for me. I always feel so far behind, but when you put it that way, it makes it so much more manageable. I tend to get overwhelmed with the big picture, but if I concentrate on one word at a time, so to speak, rather than look at the whole book that needs to be done, it seems easier. Thanks again!

One step at a time

I couldn't agree more. It is the best way to make progress without getting overwhelmed. I have to be honest it has been getting pretty frustrating and depressing to not make any deals but I am just trying to do whatever my coaches tell me to do and trust that the process works.

Post-it!!!

Yet another great post-it note for more motivation.
