Farm house is coming along. Hired a friend to help me paint and clean. (Man, SO much appreciate her help!)

Wedding just 16 days away. Everything going smoothly (so far. lol)

Miss my DG family. (LOVE having my daughter home for awhile, though!)

FYI-REI Club meeting tonight, I'm nervous but excited. The "coach" told me what to say when I meet the investors. Hopefully I get a chance to visit and hand out my cards! Sorry, for responding to this older post (May, I believe).... but I'm new to DG, and this forum and try to read through everything here and sponge up some more knowledge! LOL

Anyway, regarding your remarks about houses #4 and 5 that day.... I can get you the info for a really great short sale negotiation team. This is the guy Ron LeGrand used, and recommends. They do nothing else but short sales, you just have to submit the info, get updates and at some point a check.

Also, the 2 houses on the half acre lot.... did you check if you could have gotten the lot subdivided, and then sell them as separate lots for a bigger profit? Since I don't know about the specs I can only generalize, but often that's a great way to make some money w/out even doing anything to the property. Also, was he anxious that buyer will default? OR why...? And did you ask owner f he would be willing to refinance, therefore get the cash out he's looking for.... and then he can still do the owner financing/subject to he offered... Just a thought.

I just took your advice from this morning, and started a journal... but mostly to let people know about the (wholesale) deals I'm finding. So far the three deals I am about to put together are listed under "My deals" and "Florida - Investment Opportunities". Go, check it out! LOL

It's been over a week? Oh, my. Remember, remember.

Looked at a couple houses, worked on the farmhouse.
Had a wedding shower for my daughter.

Hmm. Lots of wedding stuff. Talked to a few new DG people on the phone (I always love that.) Finally answered friend requests on Facebook.

Well, all I know is God is good! Life is good!

Rina, what a great time, the wedding and all. We've had 5 (and only 3 kids!) Okay, I know you want to know how I did that. One of my daughters married the same guy twice! My son divorced and married again. My other daughter was the first and had just one wedding. Whew!! I'm tired again thinking about all of them. Really, they were all great and fond memories. I know you will have great memories, too. And....now for the grandchildren... I have 9 and another one on the way. They just keep coming fast and furiously! I hope your daughter will live close by, mine don't.

Jan, sounds like you have some "wedding experience". I know I sure learned a lot from our first daughter getting married last year. This year was MUCH easier having done it once already (I didn't try to do EVERYTHING myself this time.lol).

Believe it or not (embarassing to admit), I placed my first-ever Craigslist ad today. I've answered a lot in the past, but not posted (always used the local paper). I put the farmhouse ad for rent in today. Gonna try to go freebie all the way this time. Wish me luck.

I've got a great idea in mind for November. (just putting this here to remind myself. lol)

So, anyone reading this, just beware of scams and con-artists. I'm not sure what they could have gotten out of this instance, but you never know what you might run across. BE CAREFUL.

I also post on CL for my business as a "Licensed Massage Therapist" and I always get these type of "scam" emails!!!!! They want your money!!!! Nothing else. They say they will set you up with their accountant or finance coordinator etc... Supposedly sending you a certified check. Huh, they want your info and money....Never answer these emails/requests!! Nothing but a pure SCAM!!!!

It must be a scam, could not be anything else. What I cannot understand is why someone will take all this time to do evil. May it is someone looking for companion, why would you want to call. Go girl, you did the right thing.

Sounds like closing tomorrow on second house for investor. Will post when the keys are in hand.

Interesting experience last week on first house.
I went to take some measurements and to my surprise the locks had been changed, a notice posted of "winterization" having been done, and a new lockbox on the door. ?????????????
Now keep in mind, this house already belonged to my investor, I'd had the keys for over a week!

It turns out the bank that had owned it had an order in place for it to be winterized and no one had informed the company that the property had sold.
Just one more weird turn in the REO practices of northern WI, I guess. Bleah!
Got it straightened out. Got a free lockbox out of the deal. lol
