Welcome!

My name is Monique and I just want to say Welcome aboard! As I said before the goal in creating this group is to form a creative and successful Real Estate Investment Team. Some one once said two heads are better than one and boy were they right. So lets get started, together we can do anything! This week I would like to go over the importance in organizing your resources. Your computers bookmarks for instance are a great way to stay organized. Be sure to add your top five most important websites to your tool bar so that you don't have to scroll through a list of forgotten sites. This way, your always reminded of the websites that help you the most. Do you have any organization tips to share?

SFV/Los Angeles Area

Hi,
I just finished reading "Profit from Real Estate Right Now" and would like to start investing using techniques from the book. Given that I am new to real estate investing, I was hoping to partner up with someone in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles area (two [or more] heads are better than one). Thanks!

Hi Kim:

I just joined last month and I am still finishing up reading all of my assignments.
I live in Thousand Oaks (Ventura County) and I would love to connect with you. I hope that you are already well ahead of me with a couple of deals under your belt.
Although I have not done any deals yet, I have some good connections for the SFV and the Conejo Valley area if you are interested (gardner, house cleaning, handyman, realtor, etc.).

Looking for Mentor in Houston, Texas

Howdy....

I am 'chomping at the bit' to get started here in Houston, Texas. However, like many newbies, I am a bit timid to jump right in.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi everyone
I was looking for someone in the Chicagoland area to be my mentor (or for me to spend some time meeting with you to see how you do it). I thought I had found one but then discovered that it was like a "cult". I'm not crazy, have a normal full time job (need to work on paying off things first), and have some knowledge. I am serious to get going. I have someone in commercial real estate that can help me but I am looking for someone in residental. I find that most people don't want to "waste" their time , I promise I won't.

Hello,
I'm also new to this real-estate process and was hoping to get a little guidance. I've read become a real estate millionaire and is currently waiting on profit from RE right now. I was thinking of taking the re-assigning deals approach due to lack of employment and bad credit...

Any pointers?

Northwest Arkansas Realtor

I received my real estate license this January and look forward to using Dean's strategies to help my income as a new realtor.

I read Dean's Profit Right Now book this week and will start rereading next week. I look forward to learning from others on this Forum.

If any veterans out there would be willing to help a newbie get going with his real estate investing career, I would be more than willing to listen-up.

Hi Everyone!

My Name is Jesse (or REB for short) and I'm a newbie like many of you. I'm looking for a mentor or a group that would like to get together every other weekend to network and use the ideas from Dean's book.

I just finished "Profit from Real Estate Righ Now" and handed it over to my Husband. We always wanted to dive in real estate but never really knew where to start. We want to become a strong and powerful Husband and Wife Team.

We have no real estate experience.
My strengths are in office work (computers, internet research, little bit of graphics) and my Husband has strong computer applications, fed/state tax laws and is a smarty pants, lol. Smiling

We live in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County. It's the county next to Los Angeles County. We are willing to travel (hopefully not far).

If there are any mentors or people interested in meeting every other weekend so we can get to know each other and toss ideas around, please let me know by PMing me. We can meet at someone's house, or coffee shop, etc.
Let me know what you think.

Also, I wanted to say Welcome to other Newbies!
I think real estate has been one of the best ways to go but never knew how to get there.

To Our Future Successes! Smiling

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if my last post registered, but I am new to investing. I would love some mentor help getting started. I'm very motivated, I have read a lot of books (not Dean's yet) and I am a quick learner. I would also like to mentor someone else in the future.

Need Mentor to start

Hello!

I'm looking for a mentor that can guide me through some specifics on my first deal. I live en Orlando Fl, i have a 609 credit score, i have $850month available to invest, $3,500 in savings. After reading the october success fest project, I think I have a very good chance of starting my real estate career, considering people with worst situations took action and are much better now. I want to start but I am afraid. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Thanks for the Welcome

JMango's picture

Hi Monique, I am new just like everyone here. I live in El Cajon. Life has been really bad to a point now that I've decided to take action. I've been reading DG's books, "Profit from Real Estate Now" and "Be A Real Estate Millionaire" everyday and the more I read it the more it pushes me forward. My life has been sinking like quicksand and it's time to change that and like Dean said, "If you don't try, you already failed!" even though my credit is bad and I have no funds available due to losing job, no personal transportation only my legs walking or SD Transit or Trolley gets me place to place, I refuse to fail and the more that failure tries to conquer me it thrives me more and more to take action and to succeed, and I hope what I said here encourages and motivates everyone to succeed. If I can conquer fear and failure then you can too. Don't let your mind wander stay focus on your goals and dreams and go for it and don't let nothing stop you, only you can do that and if you don't try then you already failed. Good luck to all and may your goals and dreams be fulfilled.

I am new too

Hi all, and God bless. I am new to all of this as well. I have studied real estate for many years and am always excited about learning new techniques for buying properties. I live in a tri-state area of Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. It is hard to find people to do inventive deals with because they don't understand.

My credit and money situations are not that great and would need someone to be a hard money lender. Would like to discuss with anyone my situation and how to get deals and find a money partner. There are good deals in this area. Please e-mail me at joycecobretti@****. Thanks a lot.

Looking for a Mentor

Ok, I have just finished reading "my Town" and am very excited and motivated....I just need that extra push...I admit, I am scared. But being a single parent for many yrs, I am also tired of juggling all the balls in the air. I need some financial security. I would really appreciate it if someone could offer just some advice on how to take the first few steps. I live in Lancaster county, PA. I am originally from California. And I have always been interested in Real Estate. Here in PA, people use auctions. If a loved one has passed on, then they just call an auction house, and they come out and auction the entire contents of the house off. When I asked why people do this, my answer is mostly, people just want to get rid of it, and move on with their lives. So, I know there are lots of good deals out there. I have attended several over the yrs, not that I had any money to invest, but just to watch and learn. So, now I want to get started. Ok, the truth is, I am so deep in debt, that I MUST get started. Can someone out there please help me? I feel like a freshman on the first day at a new school.

Thanks for any and all help

Marti
