Talk to your parents or guardian and express your sincere interest in getting started with real estate. Their answer may surprise you and they may be proud of your determiantion. My dad knows what I want to be but the problem is is there any loop holes to sign a contract at my age!

I only hope that my kids have your ambitions when they grow up and reach your age. Unfortunately, your parent/guardian would have to be on the contract because you are a minor. However, if you have a good attorney, there can be a "contract" between your dad and yourself where the money made from the deal goes into your savings account and you will have access to it when you reach legal age limit.

Speak to an attorney, as far as I know -- this is the only way to make sure money will end up with you.

Glad to meet you and glad to have you here on the forum. I admire you being so young and wanting to venture into real estate. It is by far the greatest occupation you could choose.

My son started in real estate at 16 years old. He is now 17. He is great at real estate and finding a good deal. He knows how to walk through and give the owners a really fair price on their properties. I put all the contracts in my name because of legalities.

To enter into a legally binding contract in real estate you have to be at least 18 years old. Some states you have to be 21. Now in the sports and entertainment business a minor can enter into a binding contract...but not real estate. Since you are a minor your legal guardian will be 100% resposnible for all your deals.

You can use this time as a learning experience and soak in all you can. Get out there and walk through these houses and learn the values of homes in your neighborhood. Learn about repairs that need to be done and how much the repairs and material to make the repairs costs.

If you really want to take action you may need to consult an attorney in your state. The legal age for real estate contracts is 18 years old. You may be able to setup a corporation, LLC, etc and be listed as one of the officers but this would be a topic for the lawyer to advise you on. Thus, this may be an option, but I am not a lawyer and it is only a guess. It is okay to have your parents help you to get started and I admire your determination. That be nice because my family strugles with money alot and its I'm getting a bit sick of it and so I want to help my fmaily and maybe even helping other people in other countries!

What state are you in?
I am sure your dad will be glad to help you as much as he can, and maybe you can teach him about RE and get to do deals together.

Yes...Phoenix is where Mr. Dean is located. You are in a perfect place to find some good deals. Many people in Phoenix are in trouble with the fact of loosing their homes. Maybe you can find buyers for their homes.

Yea I’m planning on making my own real estate company, I’m going to be a real estate agent not a realtor (I learned in deans book that they mean different things) and my last name is well know even though I’m so not related to the guy! But I want to name my real estate company after my last name. Ummm when’s the next conference call!

I wanted to be in real estate since I was 10 but I have been only studing for a couple months now with diffrent coarses and things.
