and I can't even do a post with a link in it. Its pathetic. And its driving all the legitimate posters away.

I have been deleting them as soon as I see them.

But have you seen the names on the hundreds of new people registering? I think we are in for an even bigger bombardment!!!

Agreed.

They either need:

1. A better CAPTCHA system.
2. Hire 24/7 Moderators.
3. Give QUALIFIED veteran students Moderator access for an even broader range of monitoring.
4. Make registration requirements and authentication stricter for new users.
5. A completely new forum platform. This one is very outdated and isn't ideal for the massive increase in volume from when it was first put up when the company was smaller.

OR A combination of all of the above.

I know a thing or two about web stuff if the DG team needs help or suggestions on anything. I'd be more than happy to help!

made it hard for investors to post. Karen I have noticed the names. I remember Dean saying that it has something to do with a robo system from the Chinese. I hope they come up with a solution, however that might be that they created the new paid site of Insider Elite. Hmmm Not sure there is any hope for this. Since I have joined it has gotten progressively worse.

I agree with all of the above posts.I flag them all the time.This site is for the DG family.

was never meant to replace this site. I think it is just due to the fact that Megan just had her baby, Jeremy is busy with some other things. But, they also need to allow posters that have over 100 posts to post without their posts being caught by the spam filter. Is there a way to do that Dominick?

I also flag them the second I see them, and it has gotten much worse than its ever been.

Tammy, yes that is possible. But the question is, is it possible with this current system? I'm not sure.

That's why I suggested the DG team should replace this forum system with a more modern one. Either hire someone to build a custom made one (might cost a few thousand), or invest into some pre-built commercial forum software (should only cost a few hundred).

The advantages of hiring someone would be unlimited customization, but the more complex you get, the more the programmer will charge.

There is also great commercial forum software available for very reasonable prices, but buying something pre-made gives you less customizability.

I already have a hard time recognizing some of the letters and numbers, ie. 5vsS, or KvsX... etc.

Also, the IE is not DG.com... far from it!

It would be helpful in understanding what some here consider SPAM and what they do not and perhaps examples could be given. It's easy to complain, but it's harder to propose viable solutions.

I thought one of the purposes of this forum was to allow investors and whomever to connect. It's hard to say what one is trying to connect over, if one is wanting to connected.

SPAM is defined as Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). One cannot even post to this forum by email.

So far as the CAPTCHAs are concerned, sometimes the letters don't even fit within the field, and they are unreadable.
