OfflineDid you know that you can have 2 numbers on one phone? I believe it would cost between 3 to 5 bucks a month. A lot cheaper than an 800 # for those just starting out. Check with your local carrier for exact prices. You will get a different ring tone for the second line.

In NYC, if you have your phone service through verizon, then you can have up to 5 different numbers (phone, fax, etc)

That's Great! The payments for 800 #'s were a little to high for me at this this time. I can pay the extra ten bucks a month. Another bump in the road fixed.

A lot of cell phone companies can allow you to have an extra line for 10 bucks and you will always have a phone with you.
