Has anyone heard of the "Get Motivated" seminar? Supposed to be for businesses. I got a flyer in the mail and it is coming close to me and was just wondering if it is good or not. It is an 8 hour seminar with 8 motivational speakers like Laura Bush, Rudy Giuliani, Terry Bradshaw, Zig Ziglar, Colin Powell, Tamara Lowe(Founder), Robert Schuller, and Rick Belluzzo. It is only $4.95 a person and i was thinking that would be worth since it is that cheap...
Just seeing if any of you have ever been to it!!

yeah it is $4.95 per person or take your entire office for $19... Are you going to go to it Marc?? Mine is Oct 6 here...
How is Florida my friend. It has been a while since we tried to do a deal and I hope everything is good for you, no not good GREAT!!!
Anyway, I for one know that keeping your chin up and being motivated all the time is a good thing, but why would you want to go listen to Terry Bradshaw or Colin Powell speak. Are they REI people?? I am sure you have your reasons to go and who I am to doubt you, NEVER. I would just prefer to sit in front of a craigslist and look for another deal. Anyway, those are my thoughts and if you think it is a good thing then go for it buddy. All my best to you and stay in touch, OK?...Jan
Honestly, I haven't given it to much thought...But I have 2 chances to go...Sept 9th and October 15...It def caught my attention though...
So maybe I will...here is the site for anybody who is interested...

For 4.95 why would you even hesitate? Zig Ziglar is the King of Sales. Whether we like to call ourselves sales people or not, as investors we are sales people. All we do is network and sell ourselves to owners and potential buyers. To have an opportunity to hear Zig for 4.95 is so worth it. You all should go.

Hey buddy nice to hear from you!! Everything is going good and as far as I have been reading its going good for you too!! I will keep in touch and you do the same!!
Kimmy I was thinking the same thing $4.95 why not go but then I was thinking really ONLY $4.95. Whats the catch?? Are they going to be trying to sell something the whole time or what.
The venue it is at holds 17,000 people and they said it will be sold out. So that is a lot of business people and investors. They also said make sure you bring a bunch of business cards b/c you never know who will be sitting right next to you!!! So who knows my next big money man may be sitting right beside me waiting on me!!!
Shaun
I go to free things all the time knowing very well they're going to try to sell something at the end. I always learn something from the event. And yes, it's a great networking tool. You start talking and you tell the person you're real estate investor, add them to your buyer's list or maybe get them to do private money with you. It's a win win for 4.95.

Just my two cents here agreeing with much that has been said here. For that price you almost can't afford not to go! I too always learn something new at these type of events, and while I've been in some seminars (ok, probably all) where they were selling things (which is fine because there is good info. out there and we all have the choice to say yes or no), they were also presenting right then and there good information -- motivational or otherwise --that helped me grow. Last year I attended a Learning Annex two day seminar for $25 where I heard great and useful info. on a variety of business topics. One of the reasons I attended though was the opportunity to hear one of the keynote speaker, Tony Robbins, whom I'd always wanted to hear speak in person but never felt I could spend the thousands of dollars to attend one of his seminars. So for my $25 I was able to sit only 5 rows back from the stage where I heard him speak for 3 hours!!! Was that worth it to me? You bet!
And of course, as KimmyJ pointed out, the event is a great networking tool as well. You never know who you'll meet!
Have a great time!

Just bought the tickets. Bought 2 tickets at $4.95 a piece and then you have to get a 125 page workbook that they send to you with you tickets so you can review it and bring it with you to the seminar. That was like $4.99 and them some other fees and stuff it came to $15 and some change! So not bad for an all day seminar with 8 speakers. One thing I realized is that it starts at 8a.m. and I am an hour away and they want you to arrive an hour early. So thinking I might be stayin in a hotel the night before!! lol...
I will let everyone know how it goes!!

Hi Shaun,
It sounds like a powerful motivational line up. Zig Ziglar and Collin Powell an Robert Sculler. Those three alone provide spiritual, leadership and motivation! Zig Ziglar, WOW! These are very successful people. I see nothing but empowerment! Continued success........Lubertha
