Good cities in the US

Good cities in the US

I am looking at wholesaling in the United States and I wanted and idea of what places would be good. I have previously attempted to wholesale in Indianapolis, even though I didn't get to close a deal. However I learnt quite a bit.

The reason why I am looking at the US is because it is more difficult to do this due to a variety of reasons. I just want some ideas, nothing has to be very detailed, and I would really appreciate it! I want to call some real estate agents, like graziosi advises, but I first need to choose a city.

Thank you!

Where do you live? because I suggest you start wholesaling where you live. If you live outside of the US then just Google cities that have low unemployment rates & that have jobs increasing.

those would be good cities to wholesale in. Pretty much anywhere is a great place to wholesale. YOu can do it anywhere, again I suggest where you live. Also read Dean's 30 days to RE cash & follow the steps. Much success

Buffalo, NY

Over the past few months,Buffalo real estate has taken off. Price per square foot, a key metric in evaluating the worth of homes in a certain area, has doubled within a year in many parts of the Buffalo area. Even in “slower” areas, like Elmwood Village, the increase in price per square foot is up by 50 percent.

That problem – too many buyers and not enough sellers – has been exacerbated by low supply. In the Buffalo area, for example, the supply of homes for sale have dropped 28 out of the past 30 months. In the western New York area, the supply of homes for sale was at the lowest point in a decade for the first third of 2014.

Safe to say, the market in Buffalo at the moment is definitely tilted in the favor of sellers, much like other areas throughout the country who have recovered from the trough of the recession and are roaring back.

attempted to wholesale?

Alfredo,

no matter what city, town, or neighborhood that anyone suggests, if you don't do wholesaling wholeheartedly, by following exactly what DG states in his book 30 Days To Cash in RE, including posting 25 bandit signs every week; making 25 offers every week, etc.; it will be difficult to succeed in wholesaling.

You may want to fill out your profile so that other investors on this site can network with you?

It is easy, but it takes effort and time.

Good luck!

Thank you

Hi everyone, and thank you for your suggestions.

I did some research based on what I read and I was leaning for Atlanta or Tampa. In the end, the decision came down to the city with the most similar time zone, since they are all good places. I decided for Seattle however. Even though it wasn't mentioned here, I spoke with other people who considered that area to be a good one at the time, which was backed up by the research I did and, being in the same time zone as mine, I choose it.

I will update my journal,Alfredo's Journal, and my biography, to better explain what I did before, what I plan on doing and how I will correct what I did wrong before. I will update this tomorrow. If you can, please read my journal after I update it and share your thoughts on the changes I will make and tell me if there is anything else I could improve on.

Alfredo

Welcome to the DG Community. Although I have been a member for several years, it is only recently that I have returned and become active. If you haven't already, you'll find out that there is a lot of great advice to be taken from this site and it's members. As Tony mentioned above, I highly recommend reading "30 Days to Real Estate Cash". I am about half way through it and have a clear blueprint to wholesaling. The where is not as important as the how. Get comfortable in your own neighborhood and then branch out.

Best of luck in your journey to financial freedom.

Wholesaling

Anywhere is Great.....Caution....as I have been hearing of Shrewd Attorneys not turning over Sales Contracts to Buyers
due to Finders Fee jealousy and such.....Try to Get your ASSIGNMENTS and SUBJECT TOs and contracts signed by the ACTUAL BUYER/S

Can you give an example of what you're talking about? Are you saying that wholesalers aren't getting executed contracts from the end buyers' (the investors) and therefore are loosing out on their assignment fees?
