What is the best size?
- blank yellow 24"x18" bandit signs
- handwritten with a black sharpie marker
- place them at busy intersections, freeway entrances/exits, close to shopping centers
- alot of people will put them out Friday evening after 5pm and pick them up Sunday evening before the work week. Weekends will be when you will get the best results.
- consider putting out 25 signs. Out of 25 signs - you will find that 2 or 3 will be generating the most calls...it's a numbers game.

One of the nice things about DG.com is that we like to help each other. We also like to know WHO we are helping. It would do you a lot of good to fill in your bio page.
That being said... If you are looking for the cheapest way, go to the Dollar Store and you can get a Yellow backboard 36"X24". Cut it in half and you have 2- 18"x 24" signs. This is suggested to be the best size. Use a tomato stake from Home depot or Lowes to make your stand. This is the cheapest. If you want a better sign, use yellow corrogated paper so it's waterproof.
If you don't want to go through this, I believe Dean suggests using The Sign Warehouse. You can verify this on many of the posts within this site or find other suggestions for places. You need to buy quantity from them so if this is an issue, go the cheap route first.

Any suggestions on how to put 25 up within an hour? My very first time posting bandit signs was early this morning and it took me 2.5 hours. I do understand it was my first time but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for being quicker about posting them.
Perhaps it is OK to concentrate on a smaller area and put up multiple signs in intersection to catch traffic coming from all directions?
I think that was one main thing I started to do once I got half way through.
But some of the intersections I chose are real slow with the light changes (better for the signs) and so it took awhile to cross the street, etc.
If they're on a phone pole and you have a sign stapler or a nifty sign hammer, it should only take about a couple minutes per sign.The same for using tomato stakes or wooden garden stakes. It also depends if you need to cross the street, deal with traffic or whatnot. Try Friday after 5pm & leave them until Sunday night / early Monday morning. If you put 'em up high on phone poles, you can leave 'em there and not take 'em down.
Someone on here gave us the idea of using Zip ties for non-wood poles, too. Around here, it seems like the sign police don't care very much.

Thanks for the awesome feedback. I've been using tomato stakes. But I could also go with stapling high on poles. I've noticed some signs in the Culver City/Inglewood/Westchester area that have been up forever so perhaps your area is my area or it is the same deal.

They should be 18×24 yellow background black letters handwritten local number that easy to remember, posted at busy intersections. The websites posted above are good. You can also go the dollar store and pick up the foam cardboard for $1 per one and cut in half.But the background would be white. But some of Deans students said they used these to save money at the start of their busines.
GOD first.
Well it only took me 80 minutes to grab back all my bandit signs. There was one part of town where they were all missing so perhaps that area has active bandit sign removers. One other bandit sign was missing but its tomato wire stand was left behind but only 2/3rds of it. Almost as if a car took it out.
So 7 missing signs and 18 reclaimed. So far they have only generated 2 phones calls, one from a wholesaler bird dog that I agreed to partner with and another who I got the # of but didn't leave a voicemail. When I called them, they weren't there and their voicemail wasn't setup yet. Oh well, back to the drawing board!
