New Investor

New Investor

I'm new to RE investing, and I was wondering if anyone on here was from the Pittsburgh, PA area. I'm looking for any information or possible referrals for good agents, RE attorneys, and trying to build my buyers list.

Thanks
Brandon

welcome new investor. I am new in this game also. I am from the other end
of PA. Scranton area. Former RE agent. Used to dabble with tax sales.

One way to gain RE agents attention is to visit RE offices and if they have regular sales meetings, see if they can give you 5mins to introduce yourself,
tell them what you want to do and hand them business cards at the meeting.

If I meet up with anybody interested in western PA I will contact you.

Hey Paul

Like you two, I am also new to Real Estate Investing. You say you are former RE Agent from Scranton, PA? I have been looking for someone in Scranton who is able to create a "Purchase Agreement" and "Assign of Contract". I live in Virginia but happen to be contacted by someone who was selling their property in Scranton. I do not know the legal terminology in contracts and prefer to have someone who understands and is able to have one written up. I am also looking for a buyer as well if you know anyone. I can give you more details if you are able to help me. Thanks in advance.

I would appreciate that. I

I would appreciate that. I do have a brother in-law in the Wilkes Barre area that is looking into investing as well. If you would like to contact him in the future let me know.

Thanks
Brandon

I like to thank you all for the comments. Because I am a new RE. Investor from the Atlantic City, NJ area. I also have a friend possiblely two that is will to aloue me to sell their homes for them, however, I don't have my power team line up eighter ,moreless, have understanding of my contracts and how to use them correctly. thanks for the tip on the re. agents i'll try that for myself.
thank you all for making me feel at home and not alone.

Hey Brandon

I have PM'd you details about the property in Scranton. You can either provide me with his contact info or you can have him contact me.

Hey Troy

Are you able to create contracts or have one created for me? The Virginia RE Attorneys only deal with VA RE and one that also deals with FL RE. If you are able to create legals contracts for PA, we can all team up and get this deal done. We all can get are first deal.

Hey guys

check out the Forms and Docs link on this left side of website under Student Resources. Dean has made a lot of samples available and explanations of when and how to use them are found in the forums.

good luck to you all!

peace,

I am direct to the VP of a $100 million dollar open-ended debt and equity fund which actively writes checks to fund businesses with an EBITDA of at least $1 million a year. We fund also have access to up to $500,000,000 for the purchase of distressed real estate, specially commercial $7,500,000 and up.

Hey Dana

I had looked at the documents and printed them out, but I don't know how to fill it out from "Price and Terms" to "Conveyance and Closing". I just want to make sure everything is filled in correctly before I fax it over to the seller. I had brought it over to a Real Estate Attorney here in Virginia but he won't even look at it to critique it because he will not deal with any contracts outside of Virginia and Florida, though I was told that assigning a contract is pretty much the same in every state. I am not sure how true that is.

Oh

Oh where are the samples exactly?

PA contract

I am not an attorney but as I know it, the deposit money and signatures will create a valid contract on any purchase contract. The wording for the contingencies and some procedures in executing might vary from state to state.
An example is: in NY all parties use lawyers. In PA RE agents and title companies prepare contracts and often close.
I am a former Re agent in NY and PA. and would be happy to shake off the cobwebs help out anybody in these locations.

I'm just getting started,

I'm just getting started, and when I come to the point of filling in a contract, can I ask you if I have question?
