Anyone knows where you can Post Free Advertising for rental units?

For Rent /bandit signs can be placed on the main roads in the area of the property and definitely in front of the property. I put 3 signs out this weekend surrounding the sub my property is in. 7 calls and an application just from the signs (this weekend). Market on C.list and use signs. The combination works well. Make sure to renew you c-list adds to keep them on the top. Bandit signs (in my area) are best to be put out on Friday evenings. I have also had good staying power for the signs at Home depot exits and the local wall mart and busy restaurants. I buy signs in bulk for better pricing. Another idea is to post adds/fliers at your local hardware -some have a board for posting fliers. OK here is my secret free add. Create an add for your property on www. postlets.com and the add will go where no add has gone before. I get calls from people who saw my add on some site I never even heard of...just a bonus. Dont tell anyone :)Good luck,

We have a landlord group locally. We pay $35 a year to be members but they use that $ to advertise for us. Our properties also get listed on their website and we get good results from that. Better than craigslist.

I have a rental property in a small town in Texas; whenever I need to advertise for a new tenant, I just make a 'for rent' sign on a piece of 8"x11" yellow paper, with 'tear' phone numbers at the bottom of the sheet, and I post it at the LOCAL CORNER STORE. It's always worked!
(You can also post at the local LAUNDROMAT)
