I just turned 60, but I've got the drive and ambition of a much younger person. I'm a widow with 2 grown kids, and I'm starting over. I just became a partner in a construction company, but my background is in marketing, both offline and online. I'm a seventh generation Californian, but I've lived in Houston, TX most of my life, since Texaco transferred my dad here when I was 8. I've lived here ever since, except for while I was at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and a couple years after that in Memphis. I'm looking forward to having properties in all three states plus more in other parts of the country. I vacationed in Oregon a few years back and would love to own property on the Oregon coast, possibly in Cannon Beach where I stayed. If the recession has taught me anything it's that owning property is your best bet. I want to be just like Dean when I grow up.
