OfflineI'm new to investing and strong on academia (great for research). And I'm scared now because the savings we've lived on is finally running out (should do wonders for motivation).
I saved it through my care-giving work when I lived in rural San Diego, but I moved to Kerman two years ago to rejoin my high school sweetheart. I had trusted early upbringing and religious indoctrination over my own heart's wisdom when I was young, and created an enormous debt (which is balancing out now - a lot is being healed). I'm learning to trust my heart at last, and it's that wisdom (and James' vision) which brings me here.
Our success will be a real miracle story - there is so much for us to overcome... James was injured on the job (head trauma) as a plumber and appliance installer, but felt sorry for the struggling company and chose not to sue them. They laid him off a year later (four years ago). No work yet, and unemployment gone.
While searching, he studied H-vac at a school that claimed a high job placement rate for graduates; getting solid A's, a student loan, and no placement.
Meanwhile, I, hippie unbeliever in the system that I was, never established credit and prided myself on how little I needed to get by. My blockages toward personal power have been so strong that it's easy for me to see where the most productive efforts towards my own evolution should go.
How powerful it will be when we not only survive but prosper; not only at home but for others, shifting one world view after another from poverty to empowerment!
So much for dreams. I love what someone just posted: if the dream is big enough, the facts don't matter. I'm putting that up somewhere: Dream big! The facts don't matter!
