Today I learned New York real estate news. I learned that home prices are down between 2.5 % to 76%. This is fantastic news .

Getting started

Well I have to say that this is my first time blogging. " Ever" It is also my first time in a lot of things. I'm brand new to REI and I'm excited. I've been reading Deans books and trying to get as much knowledge as I can before making the plunge. I am currently getting my real estate investing team together. I secured a lawyer and a real estate agent so far and the rest of the team hopefully by next week. I am also getting bandit signs made and working on flyer to start working on my buyers list. I will say this I am a little nervous and anxious. I just hope I can make this happen. I know if I have a question the DG family will help me figure it out and I thank you for this.

LOSE YOURSELF

I have just received my first list of potential properties

Now what??? I have jumped right in, in blind faith. Within 2 hours, I made calls and now have a set of listings. Looking at the listings, I realise that I have no idea about the jargon, whether or not the properties available are suitable for my mission, I cannot say at this point. All I can ascertain is that the listings are exclusive to my agent. He has supplied further info on other properties.

I suppose I'll have to read the next phase in the book to know what to do with this info. I'll get the kettle on and get cracking. I won't lie, I am excited that I am moving forward and I took a leap of faith in myself and DG! At this stage, the outcome isn't as important as the boost my confidence has taken.

I have just made my first 6 calls to agents!

I have just made my first 6 phone calls to Real Estate Agent offices in order to find my agent!

I left brief messages on their answer phone with my position and contact details as most weren't in the office. I was shaking at first but I kept going.

My final call was to an agent who seemed very keen to work with me. He seems to be very proactive and he was very informative about the properties in the area. He is compiling a list of suitable properties for me, according to my criteria. He also asked whether I would be interested in permit properties or not. I don't know what that means but I am about to do some investigation to find out.

Newbie here...

I am 5 days into "30 Days to Real Estate Cash" and I am excited! This is my first ever attempt at Real Estate. I discovered the book 5 days ago and I am jumping right in!

Over the past 2 days I have collated information on agents in my area. I live in a small rural area. Yesterday I went into the city (I usually go in once in a blue moon) to see if I had the guts to glean information from or about Real Estate Agents. I did! I quizzed a receptionist and got the names of agents that work with investors in her office. I introduced myself, told her that I was an investor and we had a brief chat.

For me, that was a big deal, as I was concerned that I'd get quizzed and falter! But, I took a deep breath and believed in what I had read and had faith that I could do it.

I want properties for sale

Today I place ads in craigslist. I am looking for properties for sale in New York city counties.
