The Simple Formula

cbr says:

Step One: Meet people that want to invest in real estate

Step Two: Find out what they want to buy (and how much they will pay for it)

Step Three: Find a deal that fits what they are looking for

Step Four: Lock it up far below what they are willing to pay

Step Five: Sell it to them at a good deal and leave room for a profit

Just getting started

Hi all... I just returned from my 3 day boots on the ground and I am excited to get going. Lot's of unknowns, but hopefully it will all come together.

Believe in YourSelf

Believe in yourself. You are the only person who has the ability to radically change your life. Focus your time and energy on increasing your belief in what's possible for you, building your skills, and creating a network of achievement focused relationships. Choose to be a powerful force in your own life and in the world. Make choices on a daily basis that will move you in the direction of what you want to create for yourself. Summon up the courage, the resourcefulness, and the motivation to create a life that you can be proud of. Use your imagination, talents and abilities to live a life of purpose, make a greater impact, and to live your legacy now.

First REI meeting

Finally attended my first REI meeting in Addison, TX with Liberty Kat. Thanks Kat! Smiling

Felt a little out of place, but noticed there were other people there that were just getting started and I told one guy about DG.com...he had never even heard of Dean. Told him to be sure & visit Dean's website because he would learn a lot. He thanked me and said he would.

Need to go to Houston or Austin now to attend other REI meetings.

So you want to be a guru, eh, son?

I've been in technology for 22 years. I spent the first few years taking care of computers and networks for end users, and the last few years writing web-based applications for a platform/language called ColdFusion, currently owned by Adobe.

I have no college degree. I have a tech school Associates in copier and typewriter repair, which is where I got my first exposure to networking, but that's the extent of my higher education. In fact I was homeschooled and never really did much schooling past 9th grade... which sounds bad until you realize that I was reading Shakespeare at age 5 and tested out with a 9th grade math level in 3rd grade.

How Do I Profit From Short Sales?

Hey everyone! I found me an agent and some buyers that want me to partner with them and help them find properties due to me just starting out! My agent sent me a list of almost 400 listings and a lot of them are short sales. How can I make it a win win win? For example if a short sale is $195,000... how can I profit, satisfy the seller, and buyer?
