What's Your "Why" for Investing?

In my video I say why I started my rei journey. I don't remember if it was edited out or not. So I'm going to share it with you. I apologize if I'm repeating it. The reason or my "why" is because of my three lovely daughters. I struggled a lot when they were young and we couldn't afford to have many of the material things their friends had. So I had to work AND play many times to save up and buy them. When I did my first deal I was able to splurge a little on them. I bought my oldest her first car for graduation. I bought myself a van so I could have reliable transportation for once.

What Keeps You Motivated?

Everyday I deal with teenagers at my day job. Many of them struggle with staying motivated at school. I often encourage them to read "the Secret", which luckily we have in our library. Teens now a days are so anxious to grow up and many of them are already facing parenthood. But they seem to lack direction and motivation. They think school is a joke. Which honestly, to a degree is. Our school system has come down so far it amazes me. I actually am witnessing the dumbing down of America first hand, but that's another blog!!! LOL!

How Do You Get Past Your FEAR?

I get this a lot lately... How do you get past your fear? Well, the answer isn't so cut and dry. Some say just do it. But when you're petrified it's hard to do that. Especially when you have outside influences hindering you like, we're in a recession or depression or whatever they're calling it now. Stop buying into that crap first of all. Start focusing on how someone, right now, is making money in this economy. Why not you?

Yahoo!! To all those skeptical of the coaching program, Read this!

With my husband in total skepticism, I signed up for Dean's Success Academy in April of this year. We put the cost of it on our credit card (which is NOT something we normally do!), but with the profits from my third real estate deal we were able to pay it off. The curriculum, live teleclasses, and access to advisors whenever I need them has been crucial to my investing career!

Teach a man to fish

A pm I got this evening made me think of this. Someone had thought they read that Dean gave money to people to fund their deals.

Part of my reply was this:
...Dean's books and programs are treasures in themselves.
You know the old saying "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Kind of applies here, too....

Thanks, Dean, for feeding us for a lifetime! lol
