Last night I attended my first REI Club meeting, which was a "Wholesaler's Roundtable Discussion". It was great finally getting to meet some people face to face who are successfully wholesaling. Along with meeting some local people to keep in touch with, I learned some very valuable information pertaining to Washington State law (which is where I live and plan on getting started). Apparently there is a law against pursuing distressed properties (61.34 RCW)resulting in a class B felony! To me, that means that I don't want anything to do with foreclosures/pre-foreclosures at this point. Along with that, it is also illegal to engage in "bird-dogging" in Washington state!

Bandit Sign Invasion!
January 26th, 2013 | posted by brett_sI just made my bandit signs and put them out at 8PM Friday evening. I'm planning on picking them up Sunday evening as my city ordinance seems to frown upon this type of advertising. Oh well... I am interested to see how they do and excited to return some calls! Here's to a busy weekend!
1st Ad Response!
January 23rd, 2013 | posted by brett_sI got my first ad response today! While I was waiting for the yellow spray paint to dry on my Dollar Store makeshift bandit signs yesterday, I decided to place three online ghost ads. I listed on craigslist, backpage, and pennysaver. I was nervous to post them at first, but after they were posted, I forgot about it. Then, after getting home this evening I got my first response!
Buyer's List Anxiety!
January 20th, 2013 | posted by brett_sWell this is my first blog entry in what should prove to be an interesting process to say the least! I am currently working on building my buyer's list to get started with wholesaling. It's so wild going through the mental process that I am going through!
I understand the importance of building a buyer's list and I even have a plan on how I am going to build that list (thanks to support from DG!). The crazy part is the "battle" I am having with myself over enacting my plan with the faith that I will have the support to perform the next steps. This is my first experience with real estate, which probably adds to my anxiety (which is probably mostly based on NOTHING!), but at the same time really motivates me to dive in head first.
