Dean,
I really enjoyed the Webinar and all the wonderful info that Matt and you shared with us. I am in the process of replaying the call to make sure I got all my notes right. Sometimes I miss some of the info while I am trying to take notes. Having the ability to play it over and over is surely helpful.
Thank you Dean for caring about all of us out here.

Conference Call 9/14:

Thanks Dean for the excellent conference call. Thanks Matt for taking time out of your busy life to help newbies as well as other investors that just need a bump in some area. There was some excellent information shared and Matt, your one-liners are priceless. What an honor and a privilege it is to be a member of the DG Family. The quality people that inhabit the site make it unique in all the world and certainly the world of Real Estate Investing.

I am so excited about where we all are now with new members, new programs and new energy. I can't seem to read the material quickly enough. I will be pulling the trigger soon and, hopefully, taking some giant steps along the path to my future.

Thanks again and GOD BLESS YOU both.
Good Luck To All!

I WOULD LIKE TO BE SURE IF I GOT THE RIGHT PAPERS

Can someone tell me about how many pages long is a purchase agreement? I have what I think is one and it is about 11 pages long and i get the feeling that this might be incorrect....

Sincere Gratitude

Thank you for the conference call last night. It was my first conference call. I appreciated Matt sharing his helpful tidbits to begin venturing into the real estate investment arena.

I obtained many valuable helpful tasks to get started today, but if I have to identify one valuable advice, I have to replace my Realtor (friend) with a Realtor that have a successful history of working with investors. Matt's experiences helped me to understand why my ex-Realtor had not performed the way I hear a Realtor should.

I appreciated your sincerity and compassion about teaching and helping many students become successful investors. I know I will be one of them. Again thank you. Have a fabulous day!

september 14 call PLUS SOMETHING ELSE

Hello Dean

Just want to say that the call with you and matt was great . I have a agent and i had her make a spreadsheet of all cash buyers in the last 90 days and she made it for everyday since january i have 875 on there and i had took two weeks to pull up phones number to track them down . but i never thought about sending out the letters it saves so much more time so im doing a target inside my traget list by just focusing on the absentee owners i started going through the list again and i will be sending out the letters soon.

So i just want to say thanks dean and matt

I tried looking up my own house to see and compare values with other houses in the area and come up with my house not being found. What is the best course of action? try to get my houses value on there? or just compare what I think are similar houses?

Thank you Dean and Matt for taking the time to put this training call together and presenting a simplified, focused action plan for newbies. I've been stuck "in doubt" on what I should do next. Listening to you both made it crystal clear to me what my next step is--get those letters out to cash buyers! THANK YOU for including me in the call! God bless you both and your families!

Dean I would like to thank you and Matt for a great conference. You answered the question that I had and today I took action. The one thing that I have had trouble with was what Matt had said. You need to focus. I have been all over the place trying to find out how to start and the conference gave me the answer. I talked with my real estate person today and asked for a list of cash buyers in our area in the last 90 days. At first she didn't understand what I wanted so I explained in detail what I wanted to do and it made sense to her and the other agent in the room. Both want to help as much as they can and we will see if they are really on board. I have another agent that I keep in contact with and he sends me listings everyday and sometimes twice a day. My biggest hurdle was the area were I live is not a place were you can get houses for $30,000 and that has been my biggest problem. I have to stop looking at how much the house is I need to look at how much I can make on the house. It may be $500.00 or $5,000.00. The idea is to get the best deal for my area and go from there. Thanks again and I hope that each of these training sessions are as good as the first.

Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding ===>>> Tell him what he's won Johnny.

Do you actually think DG would pay programmers to put together the macros to hit multiple sites and return the comps and they wouldn't capture that data...and possibly be less than respectable in the use of that data.

It's a jungle out there. The first one to the seller has the best shot but the more competition, especially by deeper pocketed and experienced investors, will drive down any profit or plainly steal it out from under you before you know what hit you.

Yes, I'd like to know what your friend has to say about whom else he shared his willingness to sell his property with and who has contacted him since you've run the data in T.V.

Remember - Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!

Be careful whom you share specific customer data with until you get it locked up in a contract. Sharing ideas and experiences is great but you've got to protect your business and your customer data base.

Your #1 goal - lock up the property in a contract. You can worry about the details and renegotiate the deal/terms later but you've got to lock it up in writing first.

Dean & Matt

Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge! You are both rock stars and I look forward to meeting you one day!

EXCELLENT info on the conference call!!

I missed the conference call, Thanks for posting it Dean

Question regarding SFL Auto-Responder

Nelson5337's picture

I am very new to real estate in general and am going through my PMI and SFL Training, and about halfway through Gain The Edge 10. I just recently set up a buyer squeeze page, and tested the auto responder with my personal email. I noticed the email had a section that said click here to download your free report. When I did, it brought up a blank document. I found that I can go into Marketing > Leadflow Websites > then click the edit auto responder button (far right of website name). When I click on it, then go to "next", I get a window with a list of pre-generated emails that goes out every 3 days from 0 to 27, with an option to upload a document for each respective email. I click on the first one which gives an option to download the document, then upload it. That works fine, but I noticed the rest of the days (3-27) doesn't have a downloadable document for us to upload. I spoke to Nicole from Customer Support today about it, and was wondering if you had anthing else we could add to it, being new and just starting out. She said that you guys only provide the first one and we are supposed to create one ourselves or see if anyone else in the DG Family would maybe have something to provide us with that info. Is it better to have that, or should we just edit the emails to exclude having a link? Is it really all that important? My only concern is having broken links in the auto-responder email. I don't want it to appear as spam, or unprofessional, that's my only concern. Thanks for taking the time to read this Dean. You and your students are such an inspiration to me, and showed me that circumstances won't change if you are doing the same things the same way. You've given me confidence that I didn't have, and I now know I will be very successful at this, and believe in myself, and TAKE ACTION!

Conference call replay

I am so glad I was able to replay the conference call. It was my first. Dean and Matt you guys rock.

I just wanted to say thank you to Dean! You are so motivating and helpful! I have learned so much with just your videos and this call that I am feeling more confident about getting out there and just doing it. Thank you for taking so much time to make this easier for people like me. I can't wait to get back to you when I'm done with my first deal! Smiling

What to do now

Christa87's picture

I listened to this recording at least 5 times and ready to get my RE agent and buyers list together. I have found several Keller Williams offices in my area and ready to make a phone call but a little apprehensive because I'm not sure what to say to the agent. Would they just print out the list of cash sold no problem? Also once I talk to the ones who work with investors what do I say to him/her?

please help! Any suggestions?

Hi

smurfy's picture

Start with purchasing one of Dean's books which you can get if you click on the book to the left. After you've ordered the book, spend some time on this website just looking through the wealth of information there is about real estate and the many ways there is of doing it. Check out people's profiles who've been successful and get some tips on how you too can be successful at this. I'd check out Rina's, or Carol Stinson's (freeindeed), or Randy's (randy428) profiles and then their journals. The journals can be accessed by a link at the top left corner of any page. You can search any topic by using the search bar above the menu on the left. Hit the enter key when you've entered your search info because the magnifying glass is just for show. Hope this helps!!
