HAVING FUN
I get it, all work and no fun its true if you make it fun success is so much sweeter thanks Dean. EDGAR
Awesome idea and it really works!
Dean,
This weeks weekly wisdom could have been created just for me! This is kind of the same approach we have been taught by Sherri, Joe,Randy, and the other DG team memebers, and use it all the time!!
PS. We have completed our first treasure hunt!
Thanks for the motivation!!!!
Happy holidays from Texas!
Your weekly blog.
Dean, I just wanted to say publicly that I appreciate your enthusiasm and efforts. You keep giving to your customers and students by providing a weekly "pick me up" or some piece of knowledge to help us all succeed. Whether that success is in life or in the REI business. I have not been active in this business since I purchased your book and I have not even finished the book for a couple of reasons but that is my fault for that. But I still watch some of the blogs or read your e-mails I get every week. I have told myself that the one thing that has set you apart from other so-called REI "guru's" is that No other puts out a blog or keeps on motivating their students. They sell you their "program" or book and there is NO help or follow-up the way you and your organization do. So I guess what i'm getting to is, Dean Thank You so much for being there and showing that You Truly do want to help US become successful however that happens!
Thanks again,
Dave Kuta
Weekly Wisdo Blog # 160
Dean, you always inspire me! ! !
I live in the country and putting up bandit signs is really not possible here.
The closest town where I live has only 250 people (Dumpy little town). Our next largest town is 150 miles away and I do not drive.
I have to have some one drive me and it is a 3 hour from here.
I also have a handicap getting out and walking or meeting with people (home owners and Buyers E.C.T. is tricky).
I would like to work from home and at my computer if possible.
That way I do not have to depend on any one for help.
It is hard to find someone to drive me any where unless they are going into town them selves.
Butt, I am really interested in working with someone on a long distance basis.
Sooooo! How would I do this, thru the blog or ? ? ?
Thanks Dean,
DeeDee10
P.S. I have had a hard time trying to get A (quote) "Realtor" to work with me. After all this time I still do not have a "REALTOR" in my corner from any where.
Your Children!
Spend as much time as you can they go up so fast.
Thank you for everything that you are doing for all of us.
The Ideas are Flowing
I got to thinking about your message this week and I think it is a great idea. I have also thought about how it might work within my relationship and our current situation. My fiance and I are on opposite pages when it comes to our goals. While we talk about our goals and we have our individual goals and our joint goals, we look at achievement differently. I look at the baby steps we are making and he looks at the overall situation. When he is down, I am positive, when I am down, he is positive so it really works well, but I think if I can give him something like this to focus on and make it "not work" then he may start to feel a bit better about the progress toward the goals instead of focusing on the fact that we have not reached the full picture yet. I am a list maker anyway and I love to break things down into steps so that I get the gratification of crossing things off the list. Right down to the first one is "Make a list". I make the list then I automatically get to cross something off. Dean you are absolutely right in the fact that it helps you stay positive and motivated and if you can make it fun all the better.
Weekly Wisdom for week of Dec 12!

Hi! Dean to be a dad is a real blessing, i have been having date nights with my three daughters and the rewards i have enjoyed! They are now my largest fan club in this new Real Estate investor venture. In fact i am going to use the treasure hunt method ,as we all have projects that we are all working on to succeed.
Thanks!

Another way to plan. Awsome
I love this stuff
Since we are all kids at heart... I think this is a great way to make goals fun! And rewarding yourself for those mile-markers that you hit along the way to that end goal.
Keep the great ideas coming, and I'm so thankfull for this site and all the wonderful people I have met and will continue to meet that share this passion and desire to all help each other!

Great Blog
Loved your blog . I think you are hit the nail on the head that we need to have a list ( such as your books ) to show us the way to go. I think that i need to study my list some more as I am having problrms so I am going to go over your books and see if it helps I am sure it will. I need to see what i am doing wrong although from your books I really do know what it is but i need to know how to correct it. I am planing to do this before I purchase another home so that I will make a profit on them. i reallly do love your blog as they lift me up and give me a better felling about myself

Scanvenger Hunt
What a great message! I'm a little behind on reading your blogs, but I love them!
Here's what I found about the hunt.... it just so happened I went on one myself last night!
I went computer hunting for new resources to add to my buyers list.
Guess what? I found Carol Stinson's site and signed up to be one of her national wholesaler partners! how cool is that?
My husband and I can be her boots on the ground in Oregon. We get to put up signs, show buyers through props, take pictures etc... if one of her buyers buys the property we get some compensation AND we can put them on our buyers list!
I'm finding way more people who want properties than I have time to find the properties. It's great to partner, awesome idea to treasure hunt with a friend.
Thanks Dean!

Weekly Wisdom #160
Hi Dean,
Thanks for the scavenger hunt info. Hope you enjoyed your holiday surprise! I had not been to the library for a while. Too many things to get done for Christmas. Well, all the best to you and your family for the coming year. It is very nice that you can make time to take your kids on outings like that. These are the things they will remember when they grow up. I have a bit more cleaning up to do and I'll be ready for DG and everything it holds. Things seem to be working for me in small increments. God is good. In His time, I will be with you all and we will be working together. I am working on a few different things. Will let you know when they take root.
Enjoy the holidays and have an extremely happy New Year!
Annis
How Wonderful
what a wonderful idea,I am trying to get my daughter involved and she loves a challenge and for it to be fun too. Just frosting on the cake.

Great message Dean. Now there is a foundational fundamental factor of the money to buy the bandit sign materials, sharpies, the gas to take the action steps. There is NO shifting of funds as many of us are homeless or near homeless to buy these items much less go beyond that point. The government via the IRS or other means has slapped, stabbed or stuffed us under a rock. We want to do this so badly (the action steps you keep teaching) but with empty hands and pockets, how? I am not saying this just for myself as in the past year have come across many DGers in this predicament and are afraid to say it. You have asked many times why aren't we getting ahead. The aforementioned is your answer for many. Private lenders/HMLs? They don't want to get involved where there is a personal mess no matter what the "deal" is and most do check these days as some have been burned in the past. So please expound on HOW!? How do we get to the batters box even?
