Are you emotionally driven? Most people are. We let our emotions drive our actions. Your emotions can be powerful motivators or they can cause destructive lack of action.
This week, we talk about taking the emotion out of the decision process. It allows you to take ownership of your life and your actions, as well as gain the confidence you need in all areas. This can do everything from changing the way you feel about yourself to dramatically changing the economy in your house.
Watch it now and as a special surprise, you'll find out how anyone who leaves a comment on this blog this week can get a FREE digital copy of my bestselling book 'Totally Fulfilled.'
Thank you, thank you!!!
I am so excited to be receiving such wisdom and for the opportunity to share what I learn with others. Great reminder to keep emotions in perspective and to let them work FOR me to stay motivated!
New Begining
Looking forward to making this my best year ever!
Like What I Here
I am very interested in Liens and Deeds. Can you give me more info about the program that Steve Johnson spoke about at one of you seminars. He said that you buy Liens in bulk and students are able to purchase them off of your list. I would like to take part in that system.
Thank you for your inspiring words.
Best Vehicle to Success
While the approaches & strategies may change from time to time, no other vehicle has consistently provided more wealth for more people than real estate. The first deal is always the hardest, and I want to branch out into both commercial (apts.) & int'l real estate as well now, but I believe in real estate, and I appreciate your consistent support & encouragement, Dean, in these videos. What you give away always comes back multiplied many times over, so you will genuinely continue to reap the rewards of that giving. Thank you!
Great Message
Thanks again for the inspiration every week.My thank you also go to DG Family for their support.God will continue to bless you with wisdom.
Great Blog Dean. You are so
Great Blog Dean. You are so right -
this is the ideal time in the RE market to invest. When the market turns up there will be substantial gains to be made.
Inspiring words
Another great wisdom Dean been listening in for last little while. I know of a friend who is real estate investing and she has given me a few tips to help - yes another women investor who also attended this year's EDGE and she absolutely loved it! She is an action taker and more motivated than ever now! I have this challenge of removing a lot of the emotional obstacles to getting started I am getting motivated just need to take that action...and this was another great video.
Thanks Dean. I always look
Thanks Dean. I always look forward to your weekly posts.
Taking Action . . . That is the Key
Thanks, Dean, for the reminder that without taking action -- logical action -- the result we desire will remain an illusion. Trust me, I know that. Been with Success Academy for several months now, and I have just decided this week to put the education to work.
It's so easy to hide behind the phrase "I'm in school"; a weak justification for not being in the field and putting into practice what is being leant, or what has been learnt.
I am now committed to change my life by thinking logically and taking calculated actions.
Much respect!
Inspirational
You're right again. There's a lot of people out there who need to touch that take action button instead of sitting on the sidelines. It's also good to see someone emotional up there because it keeps the rest of us inspired.
Wasn't able to view the whole video because it froze halfway through, but always an inspiration.
Really?
I love free stuff. Thanks for sharing the abundance Dean.
dean, you are so right! my
dean, you are so right! my boyfriend and i started your seminars in october 2011. i was complete skeptical because of the high price but after the 1st seminar i was sold. we attended the buying summit a month later, and sadly couldn't buy any properites because we used all of our cash just getting to it.
well, 5 months later we have closed our first deal and have a tenant as of friday night. this is really happening! we were so frustrated at first because nothing seemed to be happening. it may have taken us a little longer than expected but we did it!
thank you for changing our lives. we are in our early 20s so everyone we spoke with thought we were crazy. i'm sure they'll think differently when we're the ones retiring decades before them.
I really like your words.
I like your focus on the motivation and thinking. Dealing with the doubt in my head is enough; dealing with other doubters makes it so much harder.
I have enjoyed your blogs
I have enjoyed your blogs for almost 2 years, taking your courses, and bought properties as a result. But not enough. I want to buy more in Tucson, AZ where I live.
I look forward to receiving your book to help me do this. Keep up the good work!

Real estate agent
Dean have watched your weekly wisdom a lot and this one hits a fantastic point. I do have a question. Can an agent do this too or does that go against some sort of ethics? I'm going to relocate to southern Florida after a 4+ year struggle with some properties I built and are now going to put me under. So as I said I'm going to relocate and start anew with a agressive attitude to make up for lost time. thanks for all you do and one of these years...hopefully next, I'll see you at a edge event.
I'll spread the word
Logical!!
Thanks Dean for the encouragement. On my news diet - and working hard toward our goal - but it is difficult sometimes to have your "belief and support system" stay behind you. They have fears of their own - and their insecurity in you - is about their "tapes" or history.
Economic times dictate the need for cash - and right now what we are asding them to do - is to hope and believe. Hope is a great commodity - but from their vantage point - it doesn't pay the bills - not yet!
Thanks for your reinforcement that we ARE in the right spot. Talk soon,
Todd

Just Came From Winchester, VA Live Event!
Hey Dean!
Thanks for also arranging for your LOCAL live events and your free gifts!!
I just came from one in Winchester, VA!
I believe he said his name was Darren-- who was the speaker.
My only child who is a teen said she would like to go. Since she has been negative in the past, like my husband, I decided I wanted to ask my nephews first. Well, that fell through and my daughter still said she would go with me.
To my surprise, on the way to the event, she said she had an interest in this kind of thing, but not enough to do it regularly.
I think she was looking forward to dinner and I admit I was too
Real Estate Investing is not my vocation and for ME is a "MEANS TO AN END" and not "AN END" in itself.
I want it to help support my family so we can participate more FULLY in our vocation--which is the Worldwide Bible Educational work we do.
We got there right as it was starting as I FORGOT about finding a place to park!
Turns out I put $2.25 in the meter and rushed out later to recharge the meter (program still going on) and a man across the street tried to get my attention to tell me I didn't need to pay for the meter at that time of night. haha!
I didn't notice a small line that said it was just until 4pm that you had to pay and we came to the 6:00pm event.
Oh well! It was VERY WELL WORTH IT TO ME Dean!!
I hope everyone doesn't mind my being TOTALLY HONEST about our experience at the event:
I have to admit, when it comes to EMOTION--Darren was OVER-the-top!
"I still appreciated and enjoyed it a lot though Darren!"
I love enthusiastic speakers and he definitely had that but he was talking WAY TOO FAST.
I kept thinking, "Oh no! I am use to these kinds of speakers, but what is my daughter thinking?" She is more of a LOGICAL thinker like my husband.
There were some people sitting near us that seemed wealthy and bragging about how many properties they had. I think my daughter felt uncomfortable and out of place.
Well, I had told her there would be dinner, which I guess at that event there wasn't. She was getting SO hungry and I had no idea there was going to be different parts given and we would be there close to 4 hours! I didn't want to go to the event alone and just wanted some moral support--which at that point she definitely wasn't.
She did stick it out to the end and so we got your free gifts, which at one point, I wondered if they were only available to those that signed up for other programs.
The things I LIKED BEST about Darren's presentation was the LOGICAL parts about the "8 to 1 ratio" the banks have in using our money and also the "paycheck-to-paycheck mentality" that people pass on to their kids.
Darren mentioned he was so pumped because of all of the deals he does.
I AM happy my daughter DID GO and WAS WITH ME because she does homeschool and I think it was a WONDERFUL FREE Economics 101 crash course in the "REALITY OF TODAY'S ECONOMY" and why things are in the state that they are.
Plus, NOW she will KNOW WHAT I am interested in.
I was HOPING the event would be A LOT different in all of the formalities than other investor events I have attended--since I KNOW Dean is the "real deal."
Well, even though I have to admit that I wasn't happy that the formality of the event was identical to other investor's events--I still came from it MORE PUMPED from understanding HOW THE BANKS OPERATE today and how boatloads of foreclosures on their books are SO MUCH of the economic crisis.
I think it would have been more POWERFUL just having Darren's segment or maybe two and Darren speaking a lot SLOWER to REINFORCE THE LOGIC.
I did enjoy the information about tax liens too though.
I guess the point of my long comment is that: a long time ago, I LOGICALLY KNEW that REAL ESTATE INVESTING--NOT BEING AN AGENT--which my Dad was--is ONE OF THE BEST WAYS to get out of debt and save money too!!
However, I have NEVER FOUND that PERSON IN MY AREA that has the SAME ENTHUSIASM and feelings I do who I can work with.
Having bought other investor's courses and books and Dean's "Think A Little Different", (which REALLY MADE SENSE and sparked my enthusiasm MORE) and his books, being on the website and now STILL being ON MY OWN in my area, after my daughter coming with me--I REALIZE it comes down to:
"DO!!!"
for me--if I want this to happen--even if it's just me and I don't have a partner in my area.
I TOTALLY AGREE with the FIRST COMMENT IN THIS BLOG--that Real Estate WAS ALWAYS a way to support families--even back in Bible times.
NOW, it's just UP-TO-ME to make it work in my time!! Thanks for letting me share!-- Patty
No Doubt About It
That was one of the best motivational videos yet, and you have had some really good ones.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dean
One of my favorite quotes:

All it takes is to get our rears!
Let's face it, it's up to us! Dean can bribe us, help us, give us free education, take us by the hand, share his experiences, ups and downs and the DG Family can motivate us, help us up and keep us going, but in the end it is up to us to get up every day and work the system Dean has given us and make it work for us by working it!
Thank you, Dean.
As always,
Love to the DG Family!
Come on, if you're on the fence, JUMP!
It works.
I have a 24 year old business that has had a tough time and built up debt since the economy turned. Still working it as I must, I dove into RE 7 months ago-- no days off, no moment left idle and I have over $34,000 in my pocket from the 25:1 system, plus 3 rehabs going. I'm doing 5 deals a month and by August this year I will hit $100,000 in cash!
Do it!
From the bottom of my heart,
Tina
Great Fact
We all deal with logic and emotions every day. When it comes to money we usually get emotional because it has risk. What ifs? Well, that is where the logic comes in. Cycles run real estate like all investments. Logically, we know this to be the BEST time to invest in real estate. But emotionally the question comes up what if? Logic must trump emotion when it is an obstacle. When emotion is a motivater then we need to pursue with all we can. We need both. We just need to tap their benefits without allowing them to hinder us, as they can when not viewed with balance.
jumping back in with both feet
What a great blog on the day I come home to my DG family. Every year I ferrel like I loose part of my life to tax season working at an accountants office. This year it made me sick...literally; Bronchitis for two Weeks. Amongst the living again and will absolutely take these steps to change my life and the lives of those I love.
Awesome!!
I love the motivation I get from watching these videos!! I haven't made my first deal yet, but I have faith that it's coming soon! I've taken action and I know that now it's just a matter of time before continued action equates to success!
This is amazing!!
Thanks Dean for all of the wisdom you share with us here, it really helps keep me on track and excited about doing real estate deals!
Classes
If I could afford the classes, I would take them today. I lost my job and am living on social security. I plan on saving each month until I can afford the classes as I am impressed with what I saw at the meeting I attended. It was disheartening to have to leave without your books and training but I will not let that stop me. It may take me a little while but I will prevail. Ray

Thanks Dean for the inspiration to keep on moving. Yes sometimes it is like hitting the gym. One may not feel like doing it, but you should do what you know you should do regardless of how you feel. Now is the time to Act!
Thanks for the encouragement!

thank you Dean
I just spoke to one of the coach and just ordered your book Profit from Real Estate right now. I've been putting things off for a while now because I don't feel confident when taking actions. I would love to have your book Totally Fulfilled since I love your work. I can't wait to do my first deal!!
