I can not even start to image the devastation experienced physically, financially, and emotionally by all of those affected by this storm. My sincere thoughts and prayers are for you and with you in this time of need. As the days and nights progress, may you hold to God's Hand and seek Faith and Comfort from Him. And to know that We Americans, and indeed others around the World, wish we could do more to ease your pain. And for those who lost loved ones, our deepest and most sincere sympathies are with you. We hold you, our Fellow Americans, and Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in our hearts and prayers. God Bless You, be with you, and guide you, as you recover.

Shout out to my fellow East Coast Friends and Family

I have lived on the east coast for most of my life. I have family in New York City and have made friends with and lived Along the Eastern shores. I have friends in Rehobeth, Ocean City, MD, and the Jersey Shore. It is almost shocking to see how we have been affected. Especially the blue collar island of Staten. Man, these are famalies of police officers, nurses, emt drivers, firemen. Being a nurse myself I feel for them because they sacrafice their lives and time everyday to care for the needs of others. To have a home you can goto to finally relax or release the stresses from working with the public all day is crucial to surviving in these professions. Many times you go home and can't stop thinking about the families you touch. Work never truly is left at the front door. Now most of these dedicated families have no homes to goto. Man, Staten you have my heart and prayers. Same for all of my eastern shore brethren, hang in there and let's keep supporting one another. Hopefully, Emanuel and Sharlene Acosta.

Thankful

Our thoughts and prayers with those who have lost so much. We have been without power since Monday evening- and its miserable!
But at least when it comes back we still have a home!

Hurricane Sandy

I lived in New York for 3 years, my son was born in Brooklyn on August 11, 2009, I really appreciate all the help the state of New York has given me and my family, despite my wife and I are not an American citizens. I was living in New York with an O-1 visa and New York was helping me more than my own country here in Europe is. God bless USA and in this particular moment the east cost!

Don

Wishing you well, East Coast.

God protect you and be with you through your time in crisis. He will make all things new and to the lost, God knows where you are, look to Him. Prayers from Texas.

I thank God for my daugthers in Virginia, being ok

Thank you Dean for putting the money where it is needed, as much as I want to donate money. Right now I am looking for work, and don't have to send to help the people out in the Eastcoast. Thank you Dean as God will and does bless you so dearly. I am glad that at least you fill in the gap of the money problem, for me and others. The most I can do is keep them all in my prayers! Let us all call on the Holy Name of Jesus for He is the one that can save us. He is or refuge in times of trouble. Amen
Peace and comfort, healing and love I send to all affected by Sandy.
Your sister, Nancyd

In the midst of events, not everyone can see or believe things can or will get better. However, there are those of us with the ability to reach out and indeed help things to get better. This posting is doing just that. I'm extending one type of help via this venue and I know it will have results.

Thoughts & Prayers...

To all of our families, friends and neighbors that have lost so much in the storm, we are thinking of you and praying for your well-being & recovery! Such an unfortunate and devastating event... Thanks Dean for being so compassionate and helping out in this way!

Hurricane Saandy

Not only would I love to show support in moment of need but I am in the east coast myself, so I experienced it...Anything I can do to help !!

Sandy

After being flooded two years in a row from two different hurricanes at my local volunteer fire hall we lost just about everything we had. With hard work and support of our community there is a light at the end of that tunnel. It is not a good time when things like this happen but it brings you and your neighbors together all like one big family and even people you do not know will jump in and lend you a hand. So chins up and you will rebuild and see that light at the end of the tunnel. You are not alone in this time of need for help and support there are a lot of people out there that are going to help you. We will keep you in our prayers. Jerry

Sandy Victims

Thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted. Still can't believe it. Support is on the way!!

Dean, thanks for your generosity. I think we'd all like to see what happens with this pledge as well.

To all of those on the east coast

To all of those on the east coast who are dealing with the storm called "Sandy" and its aftermath.

I pray that you will be strengthened the strong arm of the Lord Jesus and know His love and compassion for you.

And that courage would fill your hearts and you would know with certainty the creator God cares for each one of you and wants you to know there is hope beyond what your eyes can see.

Prayers for all

My prayers go out to all who have been touched by SANDY. I hve family back i Hicksville, New York who had lost power for 5 days. They were fortunate that the storm ddn't hit them as har as it hit Long Beach and the rest of the southern coast of the Island. Although they lost power and had to through away so uch ruined food they were safe and secure.they were able to spend a couple of nights at their son's house in Queenswho had power and was able to cook because they had a Gas stove and oven.
Thanks Dean,
John Hervan

useful lessons for H. Sandy peeps

Useful lessons for H. Sandy peeps I learned in Norfolk from H. Isabel a few years back:

Power and other utilities do eventually come back on. Don’t let your focus on necessary camping/survival details distract you from this rare opportunity to help others. Even the smallest kindness you show to others now will come back to you in wonderful and surprising ways.

Replacement stuff has a way of materializing in the void left by the lost stuff.

Mold is insidious. See Leviticus 14 for what the Bible has to say about dealing with it – it is, well, the Gospel truth.

Take heart that storms pass, and things do get back to normal. Like the beach across the street from my house, as seen in the video I made after H. Sandy passed us at http://youtu.be/rvgfRVpmYWU

Sandy

Ieve never been through a hurricane and quite frankly dont want to so as I look at all the news stories my heart and prayers go out to all of you.
