So many people view money as something bad, even evil. Money is an instrument of exchange. That is it. That instrument is what we exchange for everything in life from food and shelter to fulfilling our dreams. Being able to cut checks does solve problems. It may appear shallow on the surface. However, it can be life-altering to someone else. The money that Dean is giving in the name of the DG Family will be life-altering to the hurricane victims. Money was life-saving for his step-dad. That's the point of cutting checks to solve our problems. I truly hope that one day I will be able to cut checks to help people the way Dean does.

I am glad to hear that your step-dad is doing well. We will continue to pray for a complete recovery.

I’ve been away from the sight for a while; however, I have been viewing some of the videos from time to time. I’m so glad that I took the time to read this recent email and watched the recent video. Having to handle a number of family issues, I sort of lost focus and traction.

Your message hit home! I would write a check for family members to ease their pain and difficulties. Not to mention my own. Sometimes you just need a good shot in the arm to get you back on track.

I’m glad that your step-father is doing better and happy that you were there when they needed you most.

The power of God is without question. So glad your dad is recovering. Praying helps in many ways. I know I have nearly lost my wife twice but with God's healing I still have her. Dean as always I enjoyed your weekly wisdom.
I could see the passion you had in you when you said you were glad that you could put your step dads care on a card so that they could get stared on him, that has got to be a blessed feeling.

Last week this time I lost my job of 15 yrs,and I was already living paycheck to paycheck.I now know how important it is to want to cut that check just to survive. Sometimes things happen for reason we may not be sure of but I have always wanted to do real estate but did not have the time because of my full-time job and my fear of selling to people.

I now know that if I want to be able to cut the check I have to get over my fears of talking to people and have the conversations with the sellers and buyers. Cutting the check is only conversations away,wish me luck.

Money's root is you/the individual. If your not evil than the money you supply to someone isn't either. Money CAN be the root to all that is evil and is, but isn't it the ROOT to all that is good? Or can it be? I think so.

does someone who has real estate license have to disclose of his/her license status in wholesale deal?

Hi Dean,

It's not that money is not important. It solves financial problems and can do a lot to help and save people. The problem is when people do not give, and they put money before their God. They worship the money so much they cannot even help their friends in need, or use it to save a life. They love it so much, they are obsessed with it and if and when it is gone, they want to end their life because their 'God' is gone - we are talking money worshipers here. Money is not the problem. It's the people who use it to do evil or who do not appreciate it enough to help others. Or they love it so much, they cannot help a friend in need, especially if that friend has helped them so much in the past. Money is important. Thank God you were able to do all that for your step dad. You come through when it is important. Any step dad would be blessed to have a step kid like you. Some step kids would not even want to help.

Dean, you are blessed. As you continue to help people in need, God will continue to bless you. That's how life works. I know and can feel that next year will be better for me and I am expecting great things. I am also working toward them. I have to go slowly to avoid the huge pitfalls I found myself in and I had to get out of. God is good.

Enjoy you day and keep on helping the way you are. Your blessings will multiply every time you help.

By the way, my fiance and I broke up. It's all for the best. I need to make it on my own before getting someone in my life. I recognize that now, and am working harder toward that.

I know God is working in my life to make it better.
A neighbour just moved into our neighbourhood and she told me that she told her mother I was the only one in the neighbourhood who said hi to her, and gave her a big smile. I assured her that the neighbours want to know you a bit before saying hi to you. With me, I welcome people because it is the right thing to do, and I love people. I like when people can feel at home in their own homes in a neighbourhood.

Hi Dean,

Our thanksgiving was early October. Well, I looked at your information regarding the $298. for your information. Although I am interesting in receiving it and I know it is a steal, it is still to rich for my blood. Well I also attempted to sign up on the sign up sheet you provided. There was no 'Ontario' on the sheet, or no place for 'Canada'. Anyway, I hope some day I will be able to afford that. Also, I cannot use my credit cards right now. I am more than maxed out. I am attempting to clean up, but it is difficult when the companies keep adding major chunks to it if one does not pay a certain amount.

First, Thank you for your sharing your story and its message. I'm glad to hear that your stepfather is doing better, and that you could help. This year has been tough for a lot of us; My wife wanted to go home to the Philippines to visit her Mom for Christmas this year, but we came up short on the cash needed. It was important to her that her Mom to get to see her grandsons (she's 85 and hasn't seen them for 15 years). We managed to scrape the $2k for my wife's ticket, but the boys and I are staying home. I think I just got my "why" back! Thank you, Dean.

We are so happy to hear that your Step Dad is feeling better, and that you had the opportunity to help him both by writing a check, and by uplifting his spirits while you by his side.

It is so refreshing hearing statements like this, because too often we hear complaints with negative thoughts attached to it.

What a blessing to be able to cut that check. We look forward to an opportunity to solve a stressful problem, which we all have at some point, by just cutting a check to take care of it.

i cannot cut a check becauce iam unemployed but humbly greatfull to help the poor and elderly with out money i can still help physically and help them fix there homes because they dont have the money I love to help physically because money comes and go but I believe faith will bring the money in the right time because of Thanksgiving giving from the Hart then money is worth more thank you Dean Timothy still broke this Hollday season

I hang onto every word of these blogs for encouragement. I too almost lost a family member; my daughter who was recently diagnosed with lupus and taken to the hospital literally dying because the lupus had attacked and her liver and digestive system. She is now home with her 2 baby boys & husband (who believe it or not was recently hit by a car and is now also out of work himself). She was trying to work but has been repeatedly ill, and was let go by her job. So, I have been working 2 jobs to help her family, my mom, and pay college tuition for my children (so proud of them). Right now I hardly have time to even sleep, but I am excited about these real estate opportunities, and hope to be able to become an active real estate student and investor. I can’t thank you enough for pouring yourself into these valuable blogs. June Payne

I listened to this Weekly Wisdom before, but it was amazing to learn how much I missed out on. By listening to it again, I learned so much more! You will continue to grow bigger and better - the DG family, I mean, because you are a kind and generous person. There is a saying in the Bible that goes something like this:

"To whom much is given, much is expected." Well Dean, you have exceeded your "much" by a lot - not only in financial assistance, but also in giving of your time, your energy, your strategies and so forth.

God will continue to bless you and your future generations.

Don't know how I missed this weekly wisdom, but I went back to it. No regrets, and working your way to being able to cut checks for a problem. That should be anyone's goal!

even though there was some
turbulence along the way.

And you are so right about being
able to cut a check to solve
the problems that come up.

Not everything is able to be
handled like that, yet it really
is such a blessing to have this
opportunity for our finances to
be like a shield when certain
challenges come up...
Like you being in Mexico and having
the doctors say they wouldn't do
anything until it's paid for
($50K in advance!). If you were unable
to pay for that up front things
could have turned out a lot worse.

Anyway, I really appreciate your
insight on being able to cut a check
and this mindset is so
much better at serving people
than just saying "money doesn't
buy happiness" (or something else
that is negative and blocking),
because at the end of the day
it can definitely pave the way to a
smoother time while we're here!!!

Your story was the perfect example...
and I hope that your step dad keeps
getting better & better Dean...

p.s. Anybody having negative RE-actions
to that type of "cut a check" mindset
really needs to analyze what it is
that is holding them back about creating
opportunities and taking action towards
a path of prosperity to fill their life.

Somebody put the comment above that
it isn't the money that's the issue -
it's the "love" of money that can get
messed up - especially when people
think that money is everything and
do harmful or deceitful things to get it.
The real point is to be a good
steward of the money that God entrusts
us with so that when WE ARE BLESSED
we are also able to help Bless Others!!

here on this beautiful earth too!
