Dean Graziosi Weekly Wisdom #224 - I Need a Hero (Or Do I?)

Do you have any heroes? Most of us look up to or admire someone. Other people can inspire us, move us emotionally or just plain save our butts. But what is a hero?

In this Weekly Wisdom, Dean talks about some people who may or may not be an inspiration to you. Then he offers up something for you to think about. The hero may be hiding in plain sight in your life. Check this one out, it’s a keeper. PS, if you haven't voted on the Send Me Away content please cast your vote now!

Wow! Dean, you always are such an inspiration. And you always get me thinking. I'm LinkedIn with Richard Branson (I would love to meet him someday) & Tony Robbins, where I find them so motivating. My true inspirations, though, are my children & husband & my students (where I learn so much from them). My very first inspiration, was my Mom, who probably invented the word Woman's Lib in Italy. She didn't take any guff from anyone, not even my father, and growing up all I heard was equal work means equal pay. She also said to me, why be a nurse, when you could be the doctor & why be a secretary when you could be the boss. But as far as a Hero goes, it has to be Jesus. To be hanging on a cross and asking God to "forgive them for they know not what they do" is the ultimate. Thanks, Dean, for allowing us that moment of reflection and inner truth about ourselves. Our very first Real Estate deal has been such a rollercoaster ride, but we are persevering (a nicer way of saying stubborn!) like a dog with a bone. We will close on this property and when we do, we are going to celebrate and toast you, Dean & the whole DG Family for being there. Mark & Mary Propertycircle

Hero's within

Dean we all have people we have looked up to at sometime in our life. As a kid I use to fight with John Wayne and my pillow and later in life I looked up to Ronald Reagan because of his values and actions. Great people are hard to come by these days but when you find them they can be a true hero..NOW GO GET SOME

Hero

Hi Dean,

It is so nice to hear you say that because, right now I will say GOD is my hero. I enjoyed this week lesson very much. And hope to be my children and grand-children hero someday.

Now That's Wisdom My Friend!

I myself saw and opportunity to be quote unquote a Hero making a small difference in two of my nephews lives by allowing them to help me with a total finishing of my basement.

We are nearly done and I am so proud of them for staying the course. They didn't have to but the did and what an amazing job we've done.

I must add, it was new to us all.

We all have someone looking up too us, at us and who we can look up too!

Everybody is Somebody!

Thanks Dean! Can't go wrong with the advice you give.

Thanks for the kind words and thoughtfulness. I've been having trouble thinking about heros lately and this post brings it back to the right place in my mind (front and center).

YOU SUCK!!

Let me explain, i have been avoiding your blogs because it was becoming very hard to be the best Stay at home mom and be the best investor i could be so I gave up. I enrolled my kids in tons of things (3 kids X 4 activities a week= WOW busy) and then i get a phone call inviting me to a workshop free of charge in my area and i accepted and then this morning i get on to watch this video and man my heart is racing with all the things i have missed out on and the time that i spent trying to stay away. But my hero has to be my Husband. He works so hard and is trying to become a pilot, drives to Las Vegas for work once a week (4 hour drive) and still makes time to cuddle with the kids and have a date night 2 to 3 times a month with me. He is truly amazing. But thank you Dean for all your advice and hard work.

I need a heroe

Your obviously a hero to many of us Dean or we wouldn't be here. You do so many things to help us succeed! You have an unbelievable positive impact on this country. Thank you!!!

Hero

Thank you Dean WoW .For your worderful words of wisdom and inspiration may god bless.

Heros

Thank you so much for your poignient and encouraging words. I'd like to be my daughter's hero and my own. By doing so many things better especially by way of becoming more financially sound. To provide for her better. As well as the kind of legacy I want to leave for her. I also don't want to (keep disappointing myself by being fearful of taking action to do something totally out of my comfort zone. To that end I'm working on coming up with the funds to attend your 3 day seminar. It's a start, right? Smiling

My Hero

I admire my mom for a lot of reason, she mean the world to me all in her times of needs she never give up, she is generous motivating loving and have a heart of a lion, I was bought up in away for lot of different reason, I always thought she is my hero, but from what Dean has said I am the hero, I was raise in away that I process these assets and trait, just to become the magnificent person who I suppose to be in life, all I need is to find my talent to become my own hero....I am my HERO

To Be a Hero

I want to be a hero like you Dean !

Depressed.

Mighty1 Real Estate's picture

I walked around feeling depressed for many years and only through coming to this site and getting to know Dean, listening to all the WW's then joining the Success Academy and lately the Fantastic DG Insider Elite have I been able to beat the loneliness and depression. For years I was reaching for everything and accomplishing nothing with my life. I feel that in a few months, not only am I going to be my own hero (and proud of it)but I know my kids and especially my wife will be so proud I will definitely become their hero, even though I already am but now even more so. It's amazing how no matter what, your kids will love you. But when you can walk tall and feel like you deserve their love and be proud of your accomplishments, it can mean so much inside. To feel like a real man, a good provider. That is an awesome feeling. I'm so close to making my first deal I can taste it. I see myself taking a picture of my first check and posting my deal online.
Thanks Dean, I am thankful for all you do to keep our hopes alive.
-Angel.

Love it!

I sound repetitive but again this is such great wisdom! God bless all the celebrities and even fictional characters we see as heroes, but it is true some of the best heroes are ordinary people like you and me. I think we sell ourselves short and just think what can I do? I'm not a celebrity, no one knows me, but you can be a blessing to someone else and that someone else will never forget you, because you have become their hero!

thanks

Thank you Dean, your one of my Heroes

My Hero

First , I'd say that God is my hero. Then I'd say my two brothers they have pulled me out of some rough situations. But who do u turn to when they can't pull you out because they need help too. Every body is looking up to me and I'm looking up to him. Some other Heros that always have an encouraging words for me right when I need them , my sister Cathey, Kenneth and Gloria Copland, Pastor Joel Olsteen, I believe that he could take a bad lemon and talk about the good in it. And of course my two children Danielle and Michael because they have been through some rough times with their mom as a single parent, but the best is still coming out of them

Different paradigm

Wow! Thank you Dean. This weekly wisdom is completely in a different level!
I saw you in Feb Summit. Thank you for the education & platform you provide for people like me. Thanks to you & to all, who are part of this DG family. You are all my Heroes.

Thank you

Thank you Dean for the inspiring and encouraging words. I would love to be my daughter's hero, my husband and of course my own. I would like to leave a legacy, so her life will be less stressful, she has been going through rough times. I want our lives be financially secure. I would like to be the best that I can be for everybody.

Heroes

Great weekly wisdom. Each and every person has their own version of who they consider heroes. The key is to be positive and surround yourself with positive people. That, in and of itself will help you navigate through life as smooth as possible.

unsung heroes

Dean ,thanks for your insight on heroes this week.Today is my first day ,I went to your free seminar today and although I couldn't join your 3 day class due to financial reasons,I am looking forward to one day being able to take advantage and start buying investment properties.Anyway, you are so right about heroes Dean, most people think of the ones we here about in sports or people who do great things on a constant basis but no one really thinks closer to home.My dad was my hero when he was alive and each day I encounter different obstacles and always ask myself "what would dad do if he was here" I think deep and always find a solution.Anyway ...thank you Dean for your insight.

Heroes

amkandell's picture

Thank you for the inspiration. I have always struggled with the notion of a celebrity hero. That was fine for someone else but not me. My mother has been and always will be my biggest hero. She has taught me so many things to help me cope when times are tough. She has inspired me to continue helping others even if I am struggling. She has raised me to be the best I can be and I can only hope that I did the same for my children. I am investing in real estate for my children, my mother and myself. I believe in myself because my mother believes in me and because everyone here believes in me.

You know I never thought

gabewilson83's picture

You know I never thought about it that way Dean, and it has me thinking differently about life. It is truly inspiring and motivational. I want to be that hero to my son and anybody else i can inspire or motivate to accomplish their dreams in life.

LOL

smurfy's picture

Dean, how is it you know who has or has not posted here lol. I mean, you must really keep track of all of us! I mean, I thought only Santa could do that...? LOL Smiling

Anyway, I had watched this the other day but didn't post, and you usually let me know when I haven't made it here to watch one of your vlogs, but this time you must've known I had watched it but not posted. This cracks me up lol! Smiling

And, by the way, my hero is Jesus because he, even being God, actually came down here and became one of us so he could experience what we have to go through and then he selflessly gave up his life to save us and omg how awesome is that? I can't think of a better hero, so yea. Smiling I heart all you guys, you're my secondary heros, every one of you! Thanks for being there! Smiling
