Dean Graziosi Weekly Wisdom #224 - I Need a Hero (Or Do I?)

Do you have any heroes? Most of us look up to or admire someone. Other people can inspire us, move us emotionally or just plain save our butts. But what is a hero?

In this Weekly Wisdom, Dean talks about some people who may or may not be an inspiration to you. Then he offers up something for you to think about. The hero may be hiding in plain sight in your life. Check this one out, it’s a keeper. PS, if you haven't voted on the Send Me Away content please cast your vote now!

Hmmm

No one really comes to my mind when i think about heroes. There are definitely people I learn from, which is important to me.

My children inspire me a lot. Watching them love others, forgive repeatedly, and keep trying despite many painful obstacles is something that helps me tremendously.

I do try to model for them. We only find out much later, though, how well we did...

Love reading all of the posts gives me something to do, like practice my typing and post coments, just learning. Thanks Sam

Dean,

you are an amazing person. I have been listening to your wisdom's, and this is a beautiful one. So lucky you are not an arrogant, prideful person but you help each and everyone of us remember the important things in life.

My kids are my heroes because they love me know matter what. I never thought I would be a good mom but they think I am and I am their hero as well.

Keep up the good words and works,

Scharri

A hero for my daughter...

We have a handicapped daughter with Prader Willi. For those of you that don't know what that is. Feel free to go to www.pwsausa.org for more information. In short, she lives a life I would not wish on any other human.

When I heard this weekly wisdom, I got choked up. Ashley (our daughter) really depends on uds. Keeping her safe, feeding her, taking care of her. She is 11 and loves to do things as a family. When I first started this REI Journey, I was as "What is my Why?" well, my Why and My Hero is the same. Ashley... She goes through so much every day of her life and always has a smile for me. When I feel things get difficult, I think about her and how much she has to deal with and then things don't seem so bad.

I want to be Ashley's hero. I want to "Believe and Achieve" enough that Ashley never has to worry as long as she is alive. We take her to Disney as often as we can but most of all, I want to be her hero and help her lose weight. Help her be "like the other kids" in her school.

I want to be able to achieve the level of success that allows my wife to retire and be a stay at home mom with her and our other daughter. I want more than anything to have the luxary of working with her every day to improve her quality of life.

I would love to be her hero but in all honestly... She is mine.

My Hero-Still Looking

There comes a time in a person's life when mortals do not serve as good examples for creative living, discovering true originality and attaining FREEDOM. If we are looking for what lies beyond what has been achieved by others that's unique as the goal it leaves the inner journey and the creator as the only clear paths. This gets compounded when innovative ideas and passions are discovered. Manifesting them becomes the challenge, not just for the individual (me) but for those who can benefit from what is to be shared and enjoyed by others.

Wealth alone is not the only measure for fulfillment. It's a useful tool be leveraged toward the other higher realizations, visions and ways to be of service to humanity. The connections needed are right in us, in nature and in the creator. If there is someone who has discovered a way to blend the physical, psychological and spiritual life into a blissful purposeful, conscious rhythm that would be my hero. The search continues. Every so often I look in the mirror to check. Thank You Dean for all your wisdom and help. STILL LOOKING! (Smile)
To the DG Family How do we elevate our CONSCIOUSNESS?

In many ways you are a hero to those who need what you have to o

Hi Dean
In many ways you are a hero to those who need what you have to offer in your educational opportunities. Thank you for all you do.

Dean you have been so blessed to meet people others only dream of meeting. God has not only blessed you in Real Estate Investing but also in meeting people who others only dream of meeting.

In many ways you are one of my heroes. Some day I hope to meet you and even work with in in Real Estate investment. I did not meet my goal last year of getting to one of your classes and thought I had met that goal in the beginning of February but I got myself into the wrong program for me and now working on getting into the correct one. When I get into right course I hope to be a winner next year.

Many years ago I use to go to a church where I met many people in the entertainment industry. If I mentioned the names you would recognize them. I do want to say my biggest Heroes were my pastor and his wife and Dean Jones from Disney.

I had the privilege to meet him and work with him in the prayer and healing room of my church. Talk about a true Godly and Knowledgeable man of God. Talk about a mentor, back them was Dean Jones. My pastor & his wife was more than heroes to me they became my spiritual parents. The spirit of God on my pastor & wife was so powerful and I was so blessed to sit under him and his wife for 30 years. He is known around the world and to this day my pastor & his from 30 years ago still remember me today, even thought they retired around 10 years ago.

I am sorry I am late

This is becoming a real eye opener. Hoping i don't have to spend two much money to get this done. I have already commited my self to 1800.00 i was not expecting to have to shell out. Hope that by the time it's done, i have not spent more than I can resale the property for. Pray for me, i need all the help i can get. Oh another thing, I have read step by step instructions on how to do all this but when it came to, what to do 1st and next my mind went blank. Just winging it in Tennessee. Smiling

thank you dean, fror making us be a better person and making us think outside the box! my grandfather was my hero.stand up to anyone, say whats on his mind,& always think outside the box!

Hero/Self

This video made me really think about, who is my hero? To be honest I can't think of anyone, not even myself. Now that's not good when I think about it. I need to strive to be the best that I can be and lately I have dropped the ball. I guess I better pick that ball back up and start working again and encourage myself. It sounds a bit narcissitic, but if I don't have anyone to encourage me I have to do it myself.
Great message Dean!

Dean you are so amazing and humbling and inspirational. I can't even begin to describe how happy I am that I am on this site. I have had such wonderful experiences with peoploe I have met here. Even though I think I take the trophy as the DGer who has been here the longest and NOT done MY FIRST deal! (I really wonder if that's true, but I think it is.) And I'm not someone who is only here once in a while, I'm here a lot (or on DGIE). I'm just a little pathetic. ( I know, sorry, negative statement...just a little transparency.

But seriously I have learned so much being here. By learning and interacting I am slowly becoming a different person, and I think that's one of your goals... to make us better people. Which ties in to your blog of being a hero for our family and friends. I want to be that person, and I am becoming that person because of you! Ok so I haven't exactly achieved Real Estate Success (yet), but I am achieving success with my mindset. I am gaining confidence that I never knew I had. I am no longer affraid (well maybe a tiny bit). After 2 1/2 years of building my self confidence I finally just told people what I am doing with starting my real estate business! Is that crazy?! It took me that long to "come out of the real estate investor closet"! I am just actively starting and following up with my marketing efforts. I have had deals almost happen many times, but at least they're starting! I am not a quitter! I will do this (I've said that before) and I mean it! I may be a bit more inhibitted than most, but I will be an investor. I know what's holding me back, and I know where I want to go with this. And I know I have to stay here to get there! This "home" is the home I've always needed to become the me I want to see in the mirror! You are the "dad" I never had growing up. And by saying that I mean the person who is instilling confidence in me, and being a role model, and teaching me goals, and honesty, and possibility. (Your children are so lucky to have such an awesome dad. They will realize it when they're older.) To be that HERO to so many is what I want so bad! Seriously look back at my posts, I have been saying this forever.

This blog has been so touching, I can't even stop typing! I'm sorry if this is getting long, but i had to share that.
Thank you so much Dean! You are a true hero.

Amazing work

Dean, I think that you are doing an amazing job with real estate. I just wanted to say keep doing what you are doing to help others reach their goals through your work. I am new at this and I am observing all the activities that we as the students are involve in. So again thank you for your amazing work that you do.

Heros

I have more than one hero. My mom is my hero in that she was left with 5 small children to raise, she went to college, and became the sole provider for us. She had family assisting her with babysitting while she worked her plan to be financially able to take care of us, then retired from that career she acquired from that sacrifice. I also admire my Pastor whose life story is simply amazing and is a present day living example to me that with the right motivation, and trust in someone bigger than himself, was able to acquire financial freedom to be a blessing when his upbringing could have been an excuse for living the legacy of how he was raised instead of becoming the hero of his family. But the truth be told, Dean is also my hero because of the priceless encouragement and support he offers daily, the generosity of his heart for people he don't know, and the way he still daily pours his life into wanting and making others lives change for the better. He is a God sent for me at this season in my life, and the reason I haven't yet quit on myself in this real estate venture. He along with the God that has given him to me, are at this time my primary and sole source of information about how to work this real estate market, and source of strength and encouragement. I believe I can be successful with real estate. Now, I want to be the hero for my children, and my children's children. So, thanks a million times thanks Dean for being who you are. God bless you!!! and I appreciate you!!!

Dean,
there are so many heroes in my life, and most of them don't even know it! It's the selfless little things that people do that make me admire them, and want to be like them.
I would be so humbled if I was to be someone's hero, including being my own hero, because I don't see myself as one; I just try to do my best every day in everything I do.

thank you for doing another great weekly wisdom!
