Instead of writing my thoughts on paper, I decided to GO GREEN and hopefully by posting my thoughts on this site that it may help other fellow DG website users relate, if not find "SHIELA's BRAIN DUMP" entertaining.

I call this my "BRAIN DUMP" because I am deep in thoughts and I am constantly seeking new ideas. Hopefully, for those who are reading this may find time to answer some of my concerns and/or relate.

Today is 2 weeks from the day we closed escrow on our brand new home. Besides our beds, we are starting brand new again -- furnitures, decors, etc. I am excited!

The past two weeks has been pretty hectic for my family and I. Within the MOVE, we celebrated with a HUGE birthday party for our 4th child who recently turned 1 -- while juggling my RE Business, Family, and the BIG MOVE.

Tonight, I get to kick off my shoes, and relax to a nice bubble bath.

Tomorrow is a brand new day -- I get to put my REI cap back on. I know I have missed so much out there.

This morning I woke up at 5:30am. I got on my knees and thanked GOD for a wonderful and progessive day He is going to Bless me with.

I couldn't wait to put on my REI cap back on. So as soon as I woke up, I cooked our breakfast, made the kids' lunches, and prepped dinner. I jogged up and down the stairs for my exercise for 15 minutes to get some adrenaline pumping and got ready for the day!

On the way to dropping off my kids to school, I started replaying my imaginary rolodex in my head of associates, family, friends, and past clients that I've worked with their real estate transactions. Today, my goal is to update my database.

As soon as I got into the office, I started making my phone calls. And my script went something like this:

"Hi Jon, long time no talk - this is Shiela! How are you? Its been a while! I just called to basically apologize because I haven't been in touch and I would like to update my friends' information in my database. I am doing this big project for my investors who are keeping me quite busy looking for properties to buy. Do you know of anyone who is looking to sell?"

And the conversation goes on from there, rekindling an old friendship and at the same time taking care of business.

I have always believed that a good deal comes in sets of 4, like the four aces in a deck of cards! It was evident today, that after 52+ phone calls, I landed on 4 solid deals and I sealed all by 6pm PST. It was discouraging with the first 20 phone calls and I wanted to quit, but my DREAM is TOO BIG for me to give up. I keep thinking of my children and their wishes for Christmas, and of course that brand new dining set that I have dreamt of for so long for our new home.

So rather, I said to myself "20 NO's, Oh good I have 32 more phone calls to go!" My husband who was sitting right next to me felt my motivation --- truly, my husband who has been a Mr. Mommy for the past few months due to my busy schedule has been dreaming of his 71in Plasma and I kept picturing his ear-to-ear smile when he walks into his TV-less (for now) Theater Room for Christmas. I plan to surprise him with it -- it is well deserved! I have been negotiating with Best Buy and Fry's Electronics and I think I may have gotten a good deal.

Today, I added on potentially another $40K-$55K into my pipeline thru re-assignment and potentially another $60K on commissions as the broker representing myself and/or my investors. Not bad huh?

Tonight, I am going to re-visit my DREAMS and evaluate my accomplishments towards it and possibly make some adjustments as I have taken 2+weeks off prior -- so I am a bit behind.

Thanks - I love our new home. You know that feeling when you walk into a home, and you know that thats the home for you? You know, like love at first site? This is how I feel about out new home. I have lots of ideas and decors that I still have to accomplish -- more reason why I came back twice as motivated!

Thanks for your inspirations -- I often visit your comments for encouragement, especially this morning when I stumbled through a few obstacles, to remind myself not to quit.

I am so glad you started your journal. I remember whenyou first came here seeking to learn about investing. Look how far you have came. I am so so proud of you and can only imagine how far you will go in the coming year.

By the way...have you found a way to assign short sales? I would sure like to do SS myself. Right now I am outsourcing my SS to someone locally who is an expert in dealing and closing SS.
I have my own funding and they actually buy the house in my name when I have an end buyer lined up.
I just wonder about assigning a SS?

Can you help us understand the situation in Mountain House, CA?

I saw with great interest the situation in Mountain House, CA with over 90% of the properties, according to a NightLine report, in foreclosure.

A) Is that even close to being true?
B) Are there investment opportunities, using creative financing, and can you help us take advantage of those opportunities?

A) 90% in foreclosure -- I think this is an exxageration. Well, everything in the media is, right?
