Creative places to post ads

Creative places to post ads

I was speaking with someone the other day and he had some good ideas about creative places to post your house for sale. This can work in reverse as well.

He said that he is having good luck with hospitals. His thinking behind this was that people who are there are experiencing a life changing event a lot of times. He really likes to place them on the boards around the maternity wards because people having kids are adding to their family and chances are they need more space. He also said that you can find people who will sell their house because they have outgrown it by adding to their family.

Another place is wedding shops. He said that he hasn't had any problems with the shops letting him post the ads. It is the same thinking as above. People who are getting married may be looking to move out of an apartment or a house they are renting and now purchase one because they have joint income.

Another place is grocery stores. The thinking here is that people shop at a store that is close to them. They would probably want to live in the same area because it is close to work or family or whatever their daily habits are that take them to that store. So that can be a good place as well.

The best one that I thought which was kind of reverse thinking is when you are selling a property get the neighbors involved. They know people and in a lot of situations they may know someone who wants to live close to them- family, friends, co-workers who knows.

I just wanted to throw those quick ideas out there. Let me know what you have found luck with in regards to posting flyers.

Thanks

You would think some of

You would think some of these places would be an obvious form of advertising, especially when they all have connections to people involved with or interested in being involved with a piece of property...

Hospitals: people who might have a new addition to the family or maybe need to sell their home to pay for medical bills. You never know.

Wedding Shops: how many newlyweds or soon to be married couples are looking for their first home? Obviously THOUSANDS!

Grocery stores: you can run across literally ANY type of person at the grocery store- its like an "offline classifieds" if you figure out how to market to people coming in/out!

Schools: alot like the grocery store, in that you never know who you can come across if you figure out creative ways of advertising to the parents, & even the teachers.

Furniture stores: we all know what you go to a furniture store for & where the furniture generally ends up ;-P

Home Repair: (i.e Lowes, Home Depot) some obviously targeted leads!

Airport: (immediate area)I live in Los Angeles by LAX & there are a BUNCH of car rental places, car parking structures & hotels w/i 5 miles or less of my surrounding neighborhood. I haven't tried these yet (just thought of this as I write), but I think they could be an undercover goldmine of buyers AND sellers!

Thanks to @jdman84, @Anita, @joeyo & others who have contributed to this thread. Alot of genius ideas I'll borrow.

Creative places to post ads

Thanks so much for all the info. I feel armed and ready to start marketing again. sometimes you just need a little insight from someone else to get going.

POSTING ADS

Will someone tell me what ads give you the greatest returns financially?

Places to post ads for property

In the world of advertising and marketing it is an open field to explore. You are only limited by your imagination. Think outside the box.

I have used hospitals for about 4 years now and it is amazing what calls and the amount that come out. Let us also consider coffee shops and convenience stores. I find a lot of them have community boards to post properties. Key to this is keep them in the general area of the property location.

Another is anywhere there is a college of any type. They also have community boards to post on. This goes for jr. colleges as well.

Another is social media advertising. Use Facebook. You have plenty of contacts post your properties there and comment on them each day. Just a one sentence line will be plenty

Advertising for Buyers

Here is another way to use free reports and "free recorded messages". The basics are similar to the other free reports strategies, you're just aiming at renters. The objective is to stimulate interest and also agitate them just a little bit about the fact they're wasting money on rent - when they could be owning.

You place one of these ads in a local newspaper, penny saver or your homes magazine and the results will follow. I've seen agents generate as many as 50-100 calls in a single weekend with these ads. The publications they used varied from market to market, but the ad worked virtually everywhere it ran.

Also a quick point about the second ad. You'll notice it's editorially formatted. It looks kind of like a news article. In newspaper (outside of the classified section) ads that look like news will pull as much as 300%-500% better than ads that look like ads.

Thanks so much for suggesting that list of free online ads.

I'll get started, now.

Combining Listings with other Sites/Services

I side gig playing piano and organ for weddings. I've decided to add home listings to the end of my music posts and my wedding musician website. Makes sense right...helping the newlyweds.

It's all in the family.

Bump this up!!

Good ideas. Think outside the box!
