Judi! I am so glad I can help others. There's only so much time, so I try to optimize my time here. Thank my 2 year old for always forcing me to take a break so she can have her 'mommy milk'.
I finally got a new badge; its been forever since I had one. I thought they didn't love me any more.
I think my profile pic is my most favorite badge though.
So it's a late Sunday afternoon, and I'm here at Starbucks enjoying my iced white chocolate mocha....AND....on DG.com reading this AWESOME, FUNNY, AND TOTALLY MEMORABLE BLOG POST....and all I gotta say is Angela....U ROCK GURL!

Have no idea what this is or what they are for. Never heard of them. Was interesting to read.
Just read other posts about badges and medals. Still have no idea what they are talking about, and never got an answer before. But why is it important? Several months ago someone finally explained about the points, and people who post just to get them. But what I don't understand, is why does anyone care about getting them. Kind of takes the importance away from this site, if it is for competition.
Don't understand it and don't really care. Just enjoy sharing with each other.

We're already Blazing Saddles. 
Agree!! Never knew what they meant and they seem to only be recognition for so many posts. Explains why some posts go on and on, even about repeats.
and the minute that happens, I intend to be going on some awesome rides in the state forest again. Helped rescue a horse in November and the people don't ride it, and offered to let me use him. He is pure Arabian 
and been in parades, but not on long rides sharing the woods with hunters. But I think he will do fine!
Until last night, never even looked at those. Then realized some were on mine.
And speaking of blazing saddles, my new doc, and she is awesome, is trying to help me get back into the saddle again
And have a possible deal with commercial property near my home, so will tell you about it later, after I talk with the owners today.

I just got all mine at the same time....I can see what they say but How do you get them..What did I do to get my wings and medals..by the way I should be getting my Dimond..Just dont know how to tell that I did a deal

OK, laugh at me all you want, just had to post this and I am quite embarrassed at that.
So, I am for sure a hit and miss contributor on the site, but I am really trying to get more consistent, and I LOVE helping. You, Mark are awesome! Thank you.
Ok, so here's the funny part-- I have never thought of myself as a trophy, badge, gold blazer type of person, but these darned little badges are killing me. Maybe it's because I set a goal for myself to hit $100,000 earned in RE by this year's Edge and while it's not impossible, it is not very plausible in the next 10 days (but I haven't given up). Maybe it's because I don't really talk to my family much about RE and you all are my RE Family. Anyway, I can't figure out my new found stupidity with the darned badges, but I just hit 601 pts, so Jeremy if you please, and you find a moment soon "DG Superstar" me! And yes, I'd like fries with that.

Points are obtained by posting on the site. You get a specific number of points for each post or forum that is published on the site.
Points can be used on special offers only.. Whenever points are available to use, there will be a notification stating you can use a specific number of points to receive a discount.
Badges are given throughout your time on DG.com. Bronze, Silver, & Gold medals are given once you have passed a certain amount of posts.

You have over 600 Posts (950+ in your case) which is why you're considered a DG Superstar.
I questioned your comment about everybody being a superstar (rule-wise) because there are people who are legitimately trying to get the number of posts for that title.

Mark K, I do see your point about the rules, and I understand without 600 posts, I should not qualify and there are probably many people trying to get to Superstardom. I think the whole thing is fun and while it put a huge smile on face to see I was a Superstar, if Jeremy has to remove it-- that's fine too.
Rules are rules, unwritten rules are so much easier to follow, and yes I am from the rules are meant to customized.
I graciously accept the crown of DG Superstar, but if it is upsetting I gladly return it.
