i am working on my lessons.i am upto lesson 1. i completed the orientation and the overview which were lessons in themselves . can i just say that every time i get to the action items i get anxious. amazingly trippy. i wish i could devote more time (not complaining or making excuses) to making progress however right now i am working full-time(84 hours a week and on call nights) for my 1 year old L.O.L.. i am giving all nap times to making progress with my exciting and scary rei business building adventure. so for now my pace is turtle-like but i feel fantastic to be in the game at all. attending the academy alone has given me such a boost. i'm feeling like king kong one minute then i have to do some action items and POOF i'm minnie mouse L.O.L.
ahhh...the joy is in the journey not the destination. Do i want to be a r.e. millionaire? ABSOLUTELY!!! but i want to enjoy, love, appreciate every step of the way.
CYNTHIA
Way to Go Cynthia I just always remember slow and steady wins the race, the biggest step is that you got in the game. You stop HOPING, WISHING, PRAYING, TALKING, LOOKING, and you started DOING....so the way I see it you already win. You made a great investment in yourself and your dreams that says alot.
I will be watching to see your success. Good Luck and God Bless you and the little one.

hi erika
i was thinking of your closing message, i love that song. then
i went online and you had left me this lovely message.
thank u. i love how God brings us together. by the way,
how do i add one of those when i send messages?
thank u,
cynthia
I heard this from Jim Rohn, I am not sure if he coined this term, but I live by it. Cynthia it sounds like your "why" is pretty big! You are going to make it.
Hi Cynthia, I'm with you on enjoying every step of the way. I've been reading Deans book and some others just to get started. I feel like I have a long way to go but I do want to enjoy it. Good Luck! Kristy
hi brent
thanks for the encouragement. i'm excited for u. i remember i couldn't wait to read the book. when i did i was like WOW. i'm familiar with the why theory. actually for me it's like a law now. and from what i understand the why is really about emotion (energy in motion) i mean i must elevate myself emotionally toward relief, toward feeling better and better and better so that more and more good things can come. i wish u tremendous success. again thanks for taking the time.

hi kristy
it sometimes feels like this huge puzzle. well if u can join the academy at some point it's like having a huge group of people putting the puzzle together with you.
kinda like the verizon network commercials L.O.L. how could it not feel good to be
living the dream in my own mind while it is coming true. sounds like a win win.
the very best to u along the way.
Here's to living the dream,
Cynthia
I love the "verizon network" correlation! What a picture, huh? LOL
Thanks for giving the image.
And bless you for being such an encouragment.

had a rough night up w/Gabriella so it's zombie city for me.
the good news is in doing some academy homework i had to start looking for re agents, well i made my first call and got an amazing response. oh what a feeling, i felt like i was making million dollar deals. well, ok they're on their way i just need to catch up. don't look @ me like i'm crazy that's beside the point L.O.L. oh, and i did a consultation for structuring entities...i think taht(oops) fried me more than being up all night w/ the baby.

the day has just about come to a close for me. i am so not a night owl.
but b4 i retired, i did some research towards identifying my target areas.
i found that there are 3bd 1 bth homes in these areas. i was pre-judging(never
a good idea). And of course it got my blood flowing as i felt the surge of energy coursing through me as i thought of the possibilities. is it me or does everyone get this kind of a rush from real estate? L.O.L.
...and to all a good night.

I'm just wondering how much info I'll be able to retain and utilize in such a short time. I'm going to look and see if I can get more details on the academy tonight. It's crazy but I've already had thoughts about my DREAM TEAM! Have a Wonderful Sunday with Gabriella! Kristy
hi kristy
well, great point, the jist of it for me @this point is that it will compound. as time goes by and we implement and repeat our retention will grow. besides we learn best by doing, hence the action items. nothin' crazy about great ideas.
oh, and seeing the time of this message ur an early bird... iwas awake @5am hoping to go back to sleep, but my nature is early bird too. come to think of it night owl would come in handy these days. oh well. have a great one. talk soon.

Cynthing you are awesome and don't you ever forget that..do you hear me. You are far to hard on yourself. You have to just take the time to get it all in, we are all fighting to create the right schedule for the season we are currently in at this point in our life. The great thing about REI is that we can do work at anytime of the day. Everyone moves at a different pace.
My biggest obstacle is my full time job and the tv, I have got to get stronger with the TV...can't do too much about that full time job LOL.
Remember you are in control...what you think about you bring about. Your mind and your mouth bring forth your life.
Wishing you and lil miss Gab much success.

hello ms. erika
u r magnificent . thanks for the super kind words. u know i just realized i must have been having a pity party...momentary insanity is more like it. it passed but it passed alot faster because of awesome people like you who i've never met yet give me so much. i also realized that i was doing something none of us should ever do. i was comparing myself to others. now that is a guaranteed "cruisin' for a bruisin'"...mental note stay away from that nonsense.
now tell me more about this tv thing. what's the "oppurtunity for growth" there?
send me a private if you feel more comfortable. i'd love to help u overcome it. AND WE ALL KNOW YOU WILL...hooray

i just went and read your "about me" and i said wow she's a nurse.
i just decided not to pursue my interest in nursing @ this time bcz the little bit that i have to give has to go to rei. i hard a hard time making that decision. this may change but i'm so interested in rahab nursing. i
love the idea of helping others restore their health and well-being. i salute you.

Cynthia, it might not be nursing, but if you look at it the right way, we can truly help people through RE too! So many people are in really difficult times, maybe not physically but absolutely emotionally. Many of us, with enough knowledge, can actually provide the solution to their problems! I am not kidding about this at all. This is becoming more apparent to me everyday! I am motivated to help other people too. Think about it!
hi erika
i love people and ur right and thanks for reminding me. for some reason
real estate is not emotionally associated with people in need the way it is in healthcare for me. i don't seem to think of real estate as a means to improve somebody's well being. i think of it as means to develop something... a strategy to build wealth like a roth ira or 401K. but behind every distressed property their was or is a distressed person. hmmm... something to think about... i really didn't consider this as a way to help people and i love helping. my thinking has been build this and then get back to "really" doing something for others. i've been keeping it seperate. i'd really like to have it united instead. i've been feeling torn on this subject. if i could satisfy my need to help others in a meaningful way professionally and build wealth for my family, it would feel fantastic. i just love those moments more than anything when u feel that soulful feeling that you have made a difference. nothing tops that.

Good luck to you ....keep working.....I know very little at this time.....I am going through the studies, but mostly looking at finding deals....probably not the best student, but I just try to cram as much of Other peoples experience and techniques into my head as possible.....it's sloppy, but I think in the end I can try to clean up around the edges or perhaps I'll have a housekeeper by then....LOL

i am buzzing... i listened to last night's conference call.
i was inspired to do 2 things:
1. get business cards and get my rear in gear (i'm a poet and don't even know it) L.O.L. meaning get my name out there, take my daughter and join whatever community groups of other mothers and network my butt off. oh and go back to the gym, a great place to network. so instead of whining about being home with Gabriella and not being able to get enough done, use what i do have. i have people i can reach out to and make aware of what i am doing, u just don't know who u can be a blessing to and people lead to people. Gosh it feels good to have my head out of the sand!!! so i am going to set some serious word of mouth marketing in motion(especially now that i told you guys).
2. go do dean's practice assignment...

i am practicing being satisfied with where i am yet eager for more.
i have an extremely high level of happy anticipation and positive expectation.
tomorrow is my birthday and i am spending the day @ the spa (compliments of my honey).while i am there i intend to do some good old fashion networking.
tomorrow is also the new babysitter's 1st day of training. yippee! once that's in place, i'll be devoting a good chunk of time to forging ahead.
i am overdue for some action items. i'm so excited about doing them. i am so thrilled about this work. it feels more like an adventure than work.
ok, i'm also overdue for some rest so i'll catch ya tomorrow.

ok...so i had an amazing birthday...i spent a whopping 5 hours@ a spa.
as promised i went there in network mode...as it turns out for my b-day i got some quality info on the area where my friend has a property to get rid of and the spa receptionist is an re agent and so i got 2 more agents and some research done by being @ the spa...sweet!
today, more networking... i called a friend who is in the middle of a divorce to find out about the house they shared (it's in 4closure), i learned that he gave it to her and she's the one to talk to.
i also left a message for someone i met that had expressed interst as buyer/ money partner in rei.
