Not sure how to react or how to phrase my concerns. Somebody has to have money or For Sale signs wouldn't be coming down, albeit rather slowly. Have a real estate friend who is having problems selling houses because buyers can't find money; sort of substantiates what the news is saying.

that is why we look for buyers that already HAVE money (other investors) or people that already HAVE been approved for a loan. And why would they buy from you over anyone else, you ask? Because YOU have the properties they want at discounts no one else is offering. Because YOU have Dean's secrets and techniques for finding and locking up these properties. We know how to find the motivated sellers, and look for seller-financed properties. We know how to inform sellers of their options, buyers of theirs. We know how to shop for loans, and to use private money, and Hard Money Lenders (HMLs), and ask for lease/options, and market properties.... need I go on?
Now think of your question. How many people would stop right there, especially when they have "professionals" in the field filling their ears with bad news? The few that close their ears to the negative and fill their minds with these secrets are the few that will quietly walk through this chaos and emerge on the other side with a triumphant smile at all they were able to accomplish when most could only see the gloom and doom.

Not only are the banks loaning money but they are loaning it like crazy! With interest rates as low as they are it seems impossible for me to get my refi's done. When i called my appraisser he said he is so backed up with appraisals for refi loans from the banks that he is about 2 weeks behind at least. All of my mortgage brokers friends are saying the same thing. Quit listening to the news, most of the news is false information. By the way, the news is one of my best partners-as long as they keep feeding people the negativity it keeps all of my competition frozen. The news used to be my best partner until Obama became president. Now he is my best partner with the decisions he keeps making. It looks like the window of opportunity will be open for quite some time!
You've got to find your obstacles and call them out! Unsheath the sword, and do battle with whatever it is that holds you back!
Well, there you go!! That's why we newbies ask the questions to the right people. I'm sure similar questions come up (all basically fear-type questions) from others who are starting down this road filled with potholes and debris that make us swerve and slow down. As each question/concern gets a valid answer, we can drive faster and faster! Thanks again.
