24 hour scripts and buisiness cards

Has anyone used, or know where I can find a general script for an 800#? A script that DOESN'T have a specific purpose like assignments, foreclosures, motivated seller, etc.
I would like to leave a message that gives a general description of what my business goals are (buying and selling investment properties). If anyone has any suggestions or a script they have created that I could modify for my script it would be appreciated.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have a general greeting to begin with pointing callers to the correct extension based on who they are or what information they are looking for?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried using a voicemail that doesn't use a 800 or 888 number?
I just joined the site and I'm about to sign up for the voicemail service, but I'm thinking of using a local phone number because I think that local people might respond better than if using an 800 or 888 number.

I know that when I get mail or calls for solicitation from an 888/800 number I usually tear it up, hang up, or don't answer. I think that you can accomplish the same thing with a local extension.

You know - you could have each of your Ad include an Extension and omit it completely from your Welcome message.

Ad Example:
Call for info at (800)MyPhone X 125

Welcome Script:
Thank you for calling. Please enter the extension you were given.
If you are unsure - enter 999.

Short / Sweet / to the point / and easy to evaluate your Ads.

To carry this idea a little further - this is how I have my COA account set up. Please understand that this is my first attempt and that I am VERY VERY NEW at this - so any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Coa network is the best, thus far! I've had COA for almost 4 years and when I read this book and he referenced it - I laughed, because I knew that COA was great. I've done extensive research on toll#'s and the options, customer service, the unlimited calls, depending on the package you select, I don't have any complaints and by far it is the cheapest and most professional benefits/features I've seen.

I will not switch to others as they charge astronomical with per minute and don't have the flexible usage as COA. I don't work for them. I've had service with them for 4 years and just love the options they have.

I found the new phone system similar to see away at our having experience in either one of them but they seem to be similar in features up to 25 extension for 15 bucks a month and is advertised zero cents per minute.
I'm getting ready to join pretty soon have not decide which one yet but I am working on my scripts and getting them ready i would like to have it up and working by end of the week, and once I get my 800-number be able to order my signs.

I have a question do you guys use your personal cell phone for this 1800 number and does it connect with ur phone number somehow? Or do you have to dail in a certain number to check ur inbox?

No, you don't have to useyour personal cellphone. there is a call forwading feature if you do want to link to cell and while they wait they can be prompt to leave name, or listen to a greating.

Could someone tell me what the start up cost are with COA,Iam getting ready to get the 800# and would be happy to give a refferal name and #.

Hi, I posted a thread on this a couple of weeks ago, but if you can't afford a fancy voicemail system, you can temporarily use www.k7.net. The message length is only 5 minutes, but its a start if you can't afford it. That's what I'm using right now. Good thing is, you can also receive faxes and forward any phone number to it and its FREE.

Someone mentioned Dean's website for free. I actually signed up for that, but in reading the fine print, it says after 30 days, there are monthly fees, so I have it in my reminders to cancel it before the 30 days is up. Is this actually NOT the case? I've started building a website at homestead.com because it is only $4.99/month + $2 personalized web site address, but if Dean's is REALLY free all the time, I think I'll just use that (I'm still in my trial period). Does anyone know if all the monthly fees are really waived? Thanks DG family.

My name is Terry. I just noticed your comment about COA Network and I agree with you 100%. I got set up with them about 6 months ago and their system is pretty doggone cool. I am amazed daily at the stuff you can make the system do for you. I didn't try any others since I had seen Dean recommend them in the book. Now that I've had it a while, I wouldn't even want to try another service. I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for 800 service.

I have had mine for some time now and have had several calls made to it also. It shows the time, the number that was called, how much from the message was listened to and if the caller hung up or left a message. If you want to hear your messages you call your main number and when the greeting starts press the star button and then you will be asked for you password to listen to your messages. Zion as for deans site costing money no it is free just like dean has always stated so you must of misread something some where.

Can someone give their COA number so I can use as the referral #?

I've been trying to purchase COA at coaphonesolution.com. They ask for a referral number. Tony on this forum gave the referral number as 866-510-8060 but it will not accept it. I left that field empty but the charge was going to be $29.95 service fee and $29.95 for set up. That's more than others have quoted. Did they raise their price or am I not getting the discount because of the referral code? I backed out of the order until I can straighten this out. Additional cell phone line is cost prohibitive for me.

Also, what's your opinion on using an 800/888, etc. number vs. a toll free local number when your market will be local. I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area which is heavy tourist, transient, and winter residents. I'd like them to know that I'm local but I also agree that an 800 number is more professional. I want to get it right from the beginning so I don't have to change later. Any thoughts?

UPDATE: The setup price for COA has gone up for DG students. It is $29.95 service/set up fee and $29.95/mo. If you have 3 referrals, your monthly service is waived AS LONG AS they remain a customer. If one drops the service, you will be charged the service fee unless you find another referral before your billing cycle starts (that's the date you started service, e.g., Sep 27 would be billed 27th of every month).

Went with the 888 number and putting "Location: Fort Lauderdale" on business cards. etc. wherever possible.

My number is 888-332-0018 if anyone would like to use it. Haven't set up greeting yet.
