Thanks. I am currently reading DG's book and trying not to rush to the end , but trying to get thru it step by step. I have been reading the forums and posts and am getting a lot of information from them. I'm sure I will be having plenty of questions of my own in the future. I do need to get on a fast track as I am retired and may not have 20 years to build my portfolio. Any advice on what area might be the most productive would be appreciated.
KEEP ON DREAMING!!

Procrastination

I still dont have my buyers list. I did go to a local auction of properties. I was surprised to see the number of buyers there and how low the homes were going for. would have bid on some myself if I had the funds. I didnt get an opportunity to talk to any of them as they bid , bought, and left the area. It was eye opening though and made me anxious to get into the game. Right now i am overloaded with personal stuff, not to mention getting my taxes done ( groan! ) I am always looking when I drive anywhere for houses for sale and sometimes write down the info and phone numbers but havent called anyone yet.

I am setting my goal of having a buyers list by the end of April and making an effort to get my first transaction under my belt. It is scarey, but I gotta do it.

Love this site!!

Lease Options

Summerset's picture

I have an opportunity to buy my daughters house as she is moving to Texas. I want to do a lease purchase so I dont have to refi the mortgage. I see there is a form for a lease with option, but I thought I read or heard of one called a Lease Purchase which would not have the option clause in it. Is this correct? If so where can I find the form for that.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks,Sharon

Glad to have you as a member here on Deans board. We are all like one big family here. We help each other with our RE problems and cheer each other on. I have done lots of cash deals since I started. It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Just read everything you can here on the board and ask questions to the members who have been here a while and the one who have done lots of deals. You will learn quickly from them. That is what I did in the beginning is ask lot of questions and read everything. All my best to you.

Hi, I just wanted to send you a little note of encouragement. Don't give up! I suffer from the dreaded "P" (Procrastination) as well, so we have to just make ourselves push through! Also, I admire you for taking a stand on not posting ghost ads because it doesn't feel right. I agree wholeheartedly, I feel the same way. There are tons of other ways to find buyers and sellers and everything else you need without having to lie about it, huh? Smiling
