That is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a deal Dean did when he bought all this land in an area of upstate ny and then decided to build condo's, he got the land for very cheap and the project was going to make him millions! I am very happy for you. Good luck and let us know what happens next. Did you see of you can get building permits yet?

Thanks for the nice comments and congrats. When I looked at this property I remember watching Dean on the Deal of the month and I thought of the same exact thing. It would be so cool if we had the same success with this parcel of land. The area is being developed so I believe permits should not be too hard to get. Right now we are accessing our options. That's cool; you and your wife will make out good with parcel with the development coming into that area. Make sure your keep a lot for yourselves though!

Thanks for the comments and advice on keeping a lot. My wife and I were discussing the best approach for these lots and if you can sell a few and get all the money back plus a little extra to work with, it is like playing with house money by keeping the other lots. We will keep our fingers crossed and see what happens.

I even had a thought about building a self storage building for one of the lots. There are so many boats, jet skis, other types of recreational equipment, etc. that people bring to the lake area. If they want to store them this may work out. I will have to look into the zoning to see if this would be allowed. Like Dean has taught us, I just trying to "think a little different" and look at all the angles and possibilities. Good luck with REI. Believe and Achieve! - Joe
