I was born and raised in Houston, TX and moved to Brazoria, TX about five years ago. I've been watching Dean on TV since I was 18 years old. I remember purchasing his "Think A Little Different in Real Estate" program from a late night infomercial.

Not long after that, I had my first daughter and reality set in. I was too busy trying to figure out how to be a very young Dad, pay the bills and put food on the table. As you might have guessed it, I didn't have time for real estate. I got comfortable living pay check to pay check.

Yet year after year, I can't help but sit up late at night and think about how my and my family's life would be different right now, had I just stuck with my real estate plan when I was young.

I'm 35 years old now and still haven't purchased my first investment property yet. Fear is a HUGE part of it and I'm working everyday to get over that... One day soon, I'll be one of the successful investors on this site offering up my time and wisdom.

Wats going on my fellow investor im here in Houston also tryn to get some deals going. Im yet to do one im new but very eager ..i relate to u when u were younger just turned 23 an have my lil fam with 2yr old son jus doin watever to put food on the table mainly labor but i know theres more to life and im so glad i came across this success academy i hope for the best for u an i .....an hope maybe to do some deals together.......

Just gettin started in the DG family.....although I have been a "lurker" for about 4 years.....and this is one of my FIRST actual postings!

I am writing because I have ALWAYS looked for serious DG members in Texas who are "working the program" and have not really found any. When I saw that you were from Texas, I stopped to read your bio.

I have attended several of the intro courses Dean has offered in my area (Waco) and have always come away with useful/valuable information, but have not sensed a tie-in to our communities in Texas.

I haven't really done anything specifically/officially with DG, nor have I bought any of the courses offered......but, I have followed faithfully his blogs and read his books.

I know he is not the ONLY answer to success in real estate, but I do think he effective reads the trends very well and does extensive research. Now that he is looking for regional managers, it tells me that he is ready to broaden his structure and grow his company....it makes perfect sense.....for someone who understands first-hand and has been involved POSITIVELY in realestate for so many years. If it is working.....help it grow.

So, Brian, I was just wanting to let you know that I also think Texas is a GREAT opportunity state for the "upswing" phase that DG has been talking about....problem is, it is also unique unto itself when it comes to dealing with so many areas of real estate.

I would love to hear more about your DG experience there and possibly work with you to get a stronger DG support structure here in TEXAS!!
