We Could All Learn From Susan Boyle!

If you haven't heard about this woman by now you must be living in a cave... LOL! She's the Britain's Got Talent Phenome. Well all I can say is, we could all learn from Susan Boyle. Susan is proof that we should NEVER give up on our dreams. She is an example to every single one who has given up hope that they will ever achieve their dreams. To those of us who said, "I'm too old, I'm too fat, I'm too ugly, I'm too short, I'm too tall, I'm too tired, I'm too poor, I'm not that lucky, I'm not in the right place, It's just not my time, I don't have the right connections, I'm not that talented, I'm too shy, I'm too scared, I'm too inexperienced, I can't do it, and so on. Oh you can come up with a million reasons why you can't, the true test is coming up with why you can!
But look closely at her face in any of the pictures of her and you will see how ecstatic she is that she actually made such a big impact on the world. An unemployed, 47 year old woman, who's been classified as a spinster, was teased most of her life, even admits she's never been kissed, she always dreamed of being a professional singer.
Now she's the center of attention all across the world! Why? Because she never gave up on her dream. Yes, we could learn a lot from Susan. She's overcome many obstacles and still held on to her dream. Now in an instant she's become a household name.
Instead of looking for reasons why you can't achieve your dreams start focusing on reasons why you CAN. Because we CAN achieve whatever our mind conceives. But ONLY if we believe it and don't give up on our dreams!

Hello Elena,

Great post about Susan Boyle and chasing your dream. I believe this was a inspirational story that everyone can learn from. So often I read about people doubting themselves or their partner. It shows the dream is alive and the impossible is always possible. Believe and Achieve ! Smiling

Right Joe!

Very true, I for one was glad to see her win and show the world that anything is possible despite what people might think based on one view point. When I was younger I loved bikes and still do, guys at bike shops would tell me I wasn't good enough or fast enough, but fast forward years later and now I run my own bike team and thank God, have done well with it.
Foward and onward...

Don't let those dream stealers talk you out of accomplishing your dreams. If I had a dollar for everytime someone in my life said that I'd be rich by now... lol. Susan really is an inspiration, she never gave up and now she's a recording star. It just goes to show you, if you stay the course, in time you WILL reach that goal or desire. Just don't give up, like you said... NEVER give up!!! Even if you stumble and fall, get yourself back on that horse and keep moving towards that dream. Even if it's baby steps, even if it takes years... NEVER give up!
Thanks for sharing your post with me. Laughing out loud

Never Give Up!

Learning from Susan Boyle

Hello DG Family, Wonderful post Elena, we should learn from Susan Boyle. I know I have. Susan have resparked my dreams of becoming successful in real estate, which is a dream I have had for about 22 yrs the age of my youngest son. Seeing Susan reach her dreams has given me a new look on life and have shown me to never give up. As we all watched Susan finally achieve her dream on national tv should make everyone of us believe as long as there's breath in our bodies all things are possible. On that note DG family take it from Susan keep praying, trusting, and believing that at any age you can achieve your dream(s). Take care all. Keep your eyes on the prize and Happy Investing!

Very insightful. I've never heard it with that spin on it before. I have heard of Robert Kiyosaki's why choose one or the other when you should choose both! Yet, I like your idea of asking yourself why you can! This elevates your self-confidence once you start listing the reasons why you should and could and will.

Thanks again for this approach!

You're welcome!

It changed my whole life and I hope it does the same for you!
