Real Estate Trader vs.Investor

Went to class for past 3 days. My brain is just coming out of its intellectual fog to report some nuggets that will create a great defense is the game of keeping your money. Will report more later but the two biggies are being a Real Estate trader instead of an investor. What's in a name? A lot. The IRS looks at an investor as a hobby and gives the breaks to the trader.

When you become a business you want to become a 'c' corporation. You can start as a 's' corp. but once you become profitable you want to be a 'c' corp. This is just a form to fill out. Make sure the key words like "medical expenses" amoung other are written into the form so you can take the deduction.

Just returned home to Rock Island, from a great "Boots" event in Las Vegas. I would tell you all about it but, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"!!!!!

I contacted RE agents, other investors, and brokers, and I'm growing my buyer and seller lists, plus checking out properties for sale in Oak Cliff area of Dallas, which the Dallas Morning News said on 6/9/12 was "the hottest real estate in Dallas".

Hello everyone. My name is Brandal Ingram and I reside in Little Rock AR. I am excited to be a part of the DG family and hope to make a lot of new friends as well as money!!! This is my dilema. I see FSBO, abandonned homes everywhere I go, but I dont know what I should do first. I really want to be successful with real estate but past failures keeps me from taking action. I tell myself I can do it and in the same breath tell myself why it wont work. I guess Im hoping the right person will read this and kinda guide my first steps. All I need is a taste of success and I can take it from there. So if anyone out there can give me an example of what they would do first in my situation would be greatly appreciated.
