Day 79

Well today started off with a whimper. My first appointment was delayed until Thur. My second appointment was delayed because I couldn't reach them on the phone. My 3rd appointment was with a fellow Northerner turned Floridian so we had a lot to talk about besides RE. I believe we hit it off which is good because I don't think he was going to like the price I would have to offer.

REI Club - Fresno, CA

Oh my God it was hard to find a REI club here in Fresno, CA. To let everyone know who is or is planning to invest in this area, there is a REI club that I just found. To register, go to www.meetup.com to RSVP under the 559 Real Estate Investor & Business Owner Community. The coordinator's name is Henry Serrano. I've only been there twice but he's a great guy.

2. It's usually a meeting at Matoe's Mexican restaurant on Cedar & Nees.

All in all, I called every single REI club phone number. Of what I know, today, on 10/24/2011, all those phone numbers do not work or if they do work, those coordinators are no longer hosting the REI club due to *history*

NEED ADVICE

I have a home the value is $250-275,000 (will know exactly in a couple weeks) I need 200,000 to secure it and someone to carry the note for 20,000 at closing with and carry the note for 48 months with a balloon payment

I messed up the money....

My plan was to use my IRA money to make the purchase. After I got the house under contract I met up with an attorney and man, I have to say, I have messed things up a bit. I am now faced with making the decision to liquidate the account. My husband and I have spent many hours discussing it and I am truly grateful that he is so supportive in this. He is willing to put everything we have on the line for this venture - and it stresses him out but he is willing. I am so blessed!

I had a home inspector come out to make sure that I didn't miss anything and there were no surprises - I am quite relieved.

day 78

Today was supposed to be a non RE day but once again no such luck.

My day was filled with researching properties from the calls I got, tootling around DG.com, making appointments for tomorrow and talking to a fellow DGer on the phone.

Will be more specific tomorrow after seeing 3 houses.
