Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #71 - Develop an Attitude of Gratitude

You don't see it in his videos, so you may not think it ever happens, but it does. Dean Graziosi get's down in the dumps too! Of course he does, it is a hazard of being human. In this blog, Dean shares what he did just a few days ago when the blues came a calling.

Take a few moments and watch now, this is powerful good stuff.

Thanks again Dean!

I know that I'm grateful for you and for everyone who contributes to the DG website. All of you keep me motivated to keep pushing forward even when all I want to do is give up. I know that I will succeed with real estate and you guys prove that to me every time I'm on here.
So good luck to all in everything you do.

gratitude

Hi Dean,

Having spent the last twelve years guiding patients through end stage cancer as well as spending a month beside my dad as he died of throat cancer and as a cancer survivor myself, I can state with authority that most folks take for granted how great their lives are and don't live in the moment enough, enjoying the ability to breathe, to swallow unencumbered, to be able to walk and move, to see and to hear others' joy. When you spend some time being grateful, realizing we are all in this together and that it does matter what messages (positive or negative) you let your mind lecture you with every day, you see clearly how fantastic every moment of life is and how quickly all we have can disappear. Live and love every second!!!

An Attitude of Gratitude

Dean,

What a wonderful, inspirational message! When we focus on something or someone other than ourselves, it makes all the difference. Thank you for reminding us that we have so much to be thankful for!

Thanks, Dean

Wow!! This week's blog was right on the money (no pun intended....seriously!) for me. Two of my family members have been going through some really terrifying medical issues recently. We've had to pick up on a moment's notice to go be with one of them and take care of business. Just when I think things are getting back to a steady hum, another crisis breaks through sending us reeling all over again. I've really been making an effort to be thankful for my health (and dare I say what's left of my sanity Smiling ) and take a moment to enjoy the beautiful spring sunshine and flowers here in the Northeasat. A five minute break really helps destress and allows me to get focused again on being successful.

Dean, you are truly an inspiration and a very special fellow. Thank you for being you.

Thanks Dean!!!

Dean,

I just want to take the opportunity to thank you for another great blog entry this week. I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to be part of something that is going to change my future and the future of my family. I wake up every morning now, wondering what I’m going to learn on the DG site and then being grateful for you and the other DG family members sharing their information and giving insight on how to make deals happen.

After watching your video this morning, it reminded me about a video that I have to watch later. It’s called “The Secret”. Just the other day I stumbled upon a post here on the site, or should I say IT jumped right out in front of me to read because it had insight on how I should visualize my thoughts every day, from the time I get up, to the time I go to bed at night. So now I have those visualizations posted on a sticky widget that I see every time I look at my desktop.

Just to help others, I’m including the visualizations here:

1. Visualize yourself making an offer next week
2. Visualize yourself signing a contract
3. Visualize yourself finding a buyer
4. Visualize yourself picking up a $20,000 check at closing
5. Visualize yourself helping others
6. Visualize yourself being a better husband, wife, father, mother, etc…
7. Visualize yourself never working for someone again
8. Visualize yourself paying all your bills off

Again, thanks for the opportunity of learning something that will change my life forever.

Your friend always,

Robin

New Lead Base Law

rkallop's picture

I just wanted to let everybody know about the new Lead Base Paint Law that goes into effect on April 23rd 2010.

If you purchase a home that was built before 1979, there is a chance their is lead base paint on the outside. If you purchase a home built before 1960, there is a good chance there is lead based paint on the outside and may be the inside.

How does that affect us. If you have work done on a property that tested positive for lead base paint then your cost of rehab has just gone up. The company that is doing your rehab such as replacing windows will charge you an additional fee for containing and clean up of the lead based paint chips. This is a big deal.

I have taken a EPA class that certifies me to be a Lead Based Paint Renovator. I took this class to educate myself and to be able to do the tesing for lead based paint and if I were to do some of the rehab, know what is required to obey the law. I also want to besure my rehab contractors are also obeying the law so I don't end up with the steep fine.

It Is Grateful To Be Thankful

Many times the challenges of life gets us down, and blind our eyes to how fortunate we are in life. God has really been good to us and he is good all the time and every time. With that reassurance, we know that things will get better despite our obstacles. We, however, have to continue being thankful for the little things and God will bless us with things on a larger scale. When we are hurting, we have to be thankful, because the pain signifies that we are still alive and have the opportunity of another chance in life. Dean has provided a medium by which we could network and make a better life for ourselves. We have to be thankful and grasp the opportunity of a lifetime. We have an extended family in this DG network that lives with the philosophy of each one teach one. Where else would you find this. For all these things I am extremely thankful. God Bless.

Right on Dean!

Elena M's picture

As usual you hit the nail on the head my friend. I am grateful for each day I wake up, I remind myself that today is a new day full of opportunities and possibilities.

In fact, I wrote a blog back in July of 08 about 'counting your blessings' here on DG.com. (http://www.deangraziosi.com/node/7135)
It's hard to believe it's been two years already, where did the time go?

I'm STILL very thankful for everything you do for us Dean and all the wonderful people I've met on DG.com!

God bless,
Elena

Thank you Dean for reminding us and for providing us with a way to share with one another. It's easy to forget as we hurry through the rigors of daily life. But, now it's time to slow down for a moment or two, and remember and be thankful for all that we do have. A lot of it is not from our own doing, so gratitude is how we can say "thank you."

Gratitude-

Thanks Dean for another weekly blog. I look forward to your inspiration each week. My husband and I are very blessed and grateful for so many things. My husband is very ill right now with stage 4 cancer. But, actually you would never know it. He has such a great attitude. One of his favorite comments to friends is - "It's easy to praise the Lord when everything is going well. But, it is even greater when we can praise the Lord when things are not going so well". I would like to remind all of you to be grateful for your good health.

Blessings 2 U - Kathy and Ernie Van Dyke in California

Thank you Dean.

I really needed this today.

Very Timely Reminder

brebolloso's picture

Thanx Dean for reminding us not to let our past dictate our future or even how we should feel today. It seems we can't let out guard down for a minute with all the negativity around.

We can't change yesterday or worry about tomorrow, but today is a Gift - that's why it's called the 'Present'.

Every morning, when our feet hit the floor, we should think about what we're grateful for.

I'm grateful for my family and I want the best for them, so,thank you very much for the 'tools' to help me reach my goals.

White Plains Seminar

Dean,

As always, the weekly blogs are fantastic!

I just wanted to know if there is in FACT going to be a real estate seminar next week in White Plains, NY. Is this true? If so I'll be there but I haven't heard any additional information about this seminar. If you or someone on your staff can maybe post something about it, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for all that you do!

Powerful,

Gratitude is a huge technique. I enjoy reading books about success and law of attraction; every book states this technique. Be thankful for everything everyone, you can even thank forward as I like to call it. Thank you for a great day when you get up. To me the day you are not thankful is the day you are taking it for granted and not appreciating it.
Thanks Dean, Thanks to anyone who has posted any word that I have read or stuck with me bc I have read thousands of posts yet never posted.

Dean - Thanks so much for "leading the way". I didn't listen to this blog last week for some reason and guess what--I was in a funk for 3 days myself. I listened to both Blog #71 & #72 today (4-12-10). I needed to be grateful for what I do have rather than focus on the challenges that have come my way.

Anyhow, I am out of that "funk" and ready to tackle this week. My prayer for you is that you continue to find the strength to "lead" us by forging through the challenges that face you.

May His Grace continue to surround you and protect you.

It definitely can be a throw back to get complacent. I do believe some one up above tells you what to say cause the right things come out of your mouth at the right time. Thanks for your support Dean. We always are grateful for you. Don't stop bringing us your wisdom and encouragement.
Blessings to you and yours.
Angel.

Gratitude 5-3-10

Dean,
Thank you for letting me truly understand what it means to be successful.Your message was inspiring, moving and, it really hit home.It is easy to think that you have it made and the thoughts you have stay fresh.I can see that in this video you are able to catch your self, and truly turn your thoughts around. To know thy self is what I look to take away from your message.I to had divorced parents that split when I was 2 and it can really leave some dis-empowering thoughts.I think you for your example and POWER to overcome. I feel I am the solution and not the problem now.Word can not explain my thanks.
