Dean Graziosi Weekly Wisdom #146 - A Painless Trick to Find Free Time

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog
Ever said to yourself, "I'd love to do that if only I could find the time." of course you have. Time is the one thing we all get the same amount of everyday, but in our hectic world most of us end up feeling "time bankrupt."

Well take heart fellow DG family, in this segment of "Weekly Wisdom" you'll hear a simple trick to carving out free time you didn't even know existed. AND - the best part is, once you use this technique, you won't have anything get in your way of achieving the goals you set for yourself. Watch and take notes.

Secret of Attraction plus take action!!!

Definitely concur with Dean on all fronts.

Secrets of Attraction and Law of Attraction were introduced to me a couple of years ago and I loved the concept.

The concept behind Law of Attraction is like when you strongly pray for something and that becomes your focus and your thoughts become centered around what you desire or what you are praying for.

The key is when you see the open doors in front of you after you have been focused on or praying for your desire, you must take action with that open door.....i.e., for me it is the DG Real Estate program that was the open door that I needed to take action on!

So I have taken the leap and now I need to take further actions to manifest what I desire for me and my family!

This "finding the time" exercise sounds like a great action step to fine tune the times that seem to be available on a weekly basis so that I can incorporate it into a routine.

As a newbie, I am still working my FT day job from home and running my household. It is very easy to get pulled into what is going on with my job or in my house at times.

Looking forward to getting another perspective on where my time and energy is given! Thank you!!! Happy Labor Day!

Time & action

It is impossible to find fault with your equation, and you are right about finding time. I am sure there is time in between the "unimportant stuff". Time is indeed a commodity more precious than money when going after a bigger goal. Thanks for taking time to help your students.

Blog keeping track of time spent ..productively or not

Just returned from Labour Day parade in Toronto and cannot believe the numbers of people retired and not doing anything but waiting for the company to increase the pension..It has been 7 years since the last adjustment and I doubt that the next increase will not be anything to write about.. Real estate is better more interesting and time intensive with measureable results.. pension or not..RGDs

THANKS DEAN.

time is irreplaceable

Dean, your right on there is time some where to be trimed and used more productively. In was an assignment in one of your books, or talks.Point being the amount of procrastination some people are unaware of in their day.Tracking time opens slots of time, and to be reused for positive energy.
keep it coming Dean!

Love the weekly wisdom

Great video this week. Decision followed with Action! I think the tracking thing is good discipline as we will be surprised when we look back.

This all sounds great

I have known all this for some time now. For me I need a little money to get started. $50,000. But I will get there...www.systemnewbiefree-ebook.info

Another point

Another point to consider when we are analyzing the list is that even though some of those things seem legitimately OK; sometimes we need to prioritize the "Good Stuff". Because if you can make more money with those 3 hrs or what ever time it is, then maybe you can have even a greater impact on the world, your self, family, your people etc etc etc CHeers!

Finding Time!!!!

RealNFlorida's picture

Thanks so much Dean!!!! We have no excuse, my fiancee is a disabled vet and I work from home. We have PLENTY of time!!!! We are gonna write down and evaluate our goals today. Then Take Action!!! We are so happy to be apart of this family!!!

Waist of time

skytrolly's picture

Thank you Dean for a reminder to me, that I have alot of time that I simply waist! It's true I make the confession now that I have time to make better use of my time.I also confess that most likely, I will not write down everything I do. Have to say that I am the short cut girl.
Time exist and I am going to devote time to my future and my family. S

action I'm doing but

I have written down goals and have been taking alot of action steps. I seem to ignore refreshing thoses goals and not as organized as I should be. I'm commited to becoming successful and I do seem to lose time by not organizing my each and every day. You do get sidetracked for one reason or another. Thanks for continuing to push the importants of writing these things down. There's never enough time. I get it.

D G WISDOME

Dean you hit the nail on the head I do find the time to help others and do have the time to help myself but didn't realize it until you said it! THANKS EDGAR

Great Assignment to SEE what you are doing, really doing.

Blondepickle's picture

So many of us "think" we are eating right and upon a closer look with a list of our daily eating habits we discover it was a good thought but was not reality. This assignment is similar to that in that we shall find we all waste valuable time. Keeping in the sitting and watching a movie with your children is a good thing! Sitting and watching movie after movie on a Saturday afternoon because of lack of direction is not a good thing. Reviewing a list of how you spent your time this week sure shows you where you are lacking in your family and community and goals for improvement.

Thanks for the reality check Dean!

Have a relaxing Labor Day and remember you can share some of your work with your family, make it a family project!

Good exercise for your kids too!

Blondepickle's picture

To get your kids more ready for the real world maybe have them do this assignment too! Once they see that they are not sharing enough time with family they will pencil in family time instead of watching & playing movies & video games.

Sharing a family meal everyday is a great way to get everyone thinking about how valuable their time is....after all the only difference in a poor man and a rich man is How they spend their time. A rich man balances his time with work and family etc...not just work 18 hours a day!

Bring back family projects and family time.

Set family goals so all can contribute to your success. Takes a family to make a family.

Thank You Dean

For anonther weekly wisdom. It is just like the bookself example you give Dean. We need to replace something that we are doing with something that will help us reach our goals. (Take one book off the self and replace it with a better book.)

Dean thank you for all that you do. We will see you in late Sept.

Steve and Veronica.

Logging my activities

Dean, you've done it again! This video has put me one step closer to becoming successful by giving me the tools to do so. I did as you asked and started logging my activities throughout my day. Honestly, I thought it would be a complete waste of time, but that's what I thought about setting Goals until you pushed me to set my goals so I decided to trust you and just do it.

I've been amazed at just how much time I've been throwing away doing nothing. I'm only half way through the day and I'm already more productive today than I've been for the last two weeks combined! I decided not to waste time creating a fancy log sheet and instead just logged my activities in my Calendar (Day Planner) on my computer. So now, not only does it show my log of my activities but also my day's schedule.

I certainly didn't want my schedule to say things like Watched TV from 2pm to 4pm or Played Computer Games from 4pm to 6pm, so I actually changed my activities to what I would want my day to looked like instead and then I followed that schedule. So with a lot of revising I was able to come up with an excellent schedule for my days so I'd know what I need to do each day.

So, the next step on my To Do List is to create a PLAN to put into action in order to reach my GOALS. Then I realized that this LOG ... this SCHEDULE ... actually *is* the PLAN that I must carry out in order to accomplish my GOALS. Awesome!!!

As they say "We always have time for those things we put first", so I've gotten my priorities in order. The first step for anything really is the hardest, but once you create some momentum it becomes easier and easier. I want to stay on schedule, so .... on to the next step!

Thank you for helping me to become the successful man who I've always wanted to be. I'm on my way and now I know I actually *can* get there from here! I'm so glad that you have my back. You're astonishing!

Words of Wisdom Indeed!

Great assignment! Will do this! I am taking ACTION, Found a partner, Reading your new book "30 days to Real Estate Cash". Filling my buckets, finding deals! Making calls, whatever it takes to get me to the next level!

FINDING THE TIME-CREATING THE TIME

dreamitdoit's picture

This is huge,Dean.Putting it all on paper &/or your computer/smart phone,i-pad etc will be like a road map I can follow(just like with the goals),then I can look back at end of week to see what MUST GO to ACHIEVE a workable plan to take the steps necessary to TAKE ACTION.
R.E.I. is in my blood.

Thanks Dean for WEEKLY WISDOM.

I have been writeing down

I have been writeing down all the ideas that you give me.And I have been looking for houses and writeing all the info on them too.I have been checking all the info that I can find on the houses I am looking at.Could you tell me something if you put a bid on a house and the agent said I will hear something within 24 to 48 hrs.And they do not get back to you does that mean something.Could you Please let me know what I should do.Thank-you Dean you have given me the push to do more with my life then have been doing in the past.

Finding the time

Dean,

One way I have found extra time is answering emails and cell calls/voice mails just once a day, just as you mentioned. I am trying to find more time by prioritizing the tasks I do everyday. This is a bit harder to do but I am making progress.

Thanks again. bp

Making Time

Hi Dean, great advice this wwek, I actually use a system that measures my accomplishments on a monthly basis and offers 6 different catagories in which to focus on, they are 1. Mess, 2.Acknowledgdment, 3. Increase in wealth, 4.New,
5. Learn, 6. Yourself. You choose 3 of the catagories that you choose to target and grade yourself by points, 1 point for recording goal, 2 points for minimum achieved, 3 for target achieved, 4 points for exceeding, and 5 points for delegating someone to help you achieve your goals. This really puts preassure on me when it reaches the end of the month and I have to calculate because I clearly can see if I have been living to my full abilities.
Thanks Dean, Carlos

Great Tip

Valiant's picture

Hey Dean,

Thanks for the great tip that not only applies to how we spend our time, but this tip also applies to our finances, family time, health & fitness, etc. I could go on and on.

We are so consumed with ourselves that we don't realize how much precious time is wasted on BS stuff.

Thanks for the reminder and solution for regaining something very valuable--time.

See ya next week on Monday Wisdom.

Leon J.

P.S. Have a safe Labor Day and say hi to your kids and neighbors. Most importantly, SMILE. (-:

Time Management

Another yet awesome blog Dean... I think I'm going to take u up on ur offer on finding the time...where I spend all my time I know partly of where that is... thanks again

Happy Labor Day

Yesss!

Time is extremely important, I have written down my goals and realisticly realized that they can become reality, I have carved out a spot in my kitchen for a little office space, organized pretty much what I will need to work with chronologically et al, this is good info for me. Keep keeping on and you don't stop.

Time

I'm gonna keep this short, just wanted to say thanks (again)!

Wisdom along with priceless inspiration week upon week. And this one I was just talking with my wife Brenda about. Before when we were both un-employed I would tell her that we are "TIME RICH" and we were.

Now I since I decided to "hire" myself and started my own business I'm literally putting in 40 hour+ days... My boss is a real task master lol.

Anyway thanks again and again..can't wait to see the results of this time finding experiment!

Sincerely,
Bob, Brenda, and Caleb

Wakeup Call

RonnieB's picture

You'd think that we all would have learned this lesson early on in our lives. But, I think it's like so many other lessons lost ... we let the wisdom get away from us for way too many reasons. So, thanks Dean for the wakeup call. I want to make the best use of what time I have left, and here's where I'll start.

Where is your Heart At?

pinebluffesfate's picture

Dean this is great idea! It reminds me of one of David Bach books. In The Automatic Millionaire he talk about, "The Latte Factor". In not some many words he said we waist so much money its unbelievable amd if you write down everything you spend money on for a month you will see what is needed and whats not.

sometimes these tips make

sometimes these tips make one look in the mirror and not like the view. what a great lesson, dean!
