Here is a cool exercise on time, activity and money. You'll need a piece of paper and something to write with. You're going to draw three circles, list the things that eat up your time, the activities that you take part in and where you spend your money. In about 5 minutes, you'll discover what to focus more on and what to step away from.
It all boils down to getting the most out of the time and resources you have. Moments in life matter. An hour ago you were doing something, whatever it is, that hour is lost forever now. Use this exercise to make the most of the minutes and resources you have moving forward.

DOER
Dean, this week finds me totally out of focus, if I don't do a deal soon, with the debt created from the education I may get sucked under. I needed this to get me going in the right circle. I have been bummed out over a major auto accident, I need this.. Thanks Dean for all your efforts.
taking action
Thanks Dean
This exercise lets you see what you are doing most of your time that doesn't bring you results and
now that you are aware of it, you can focus on productive things!!
Great tool
Thank you again
Lets get it going!!

I ADMIRE.....!!!!!!
I LOVE the FIRE and AMBITIOUS SPIRIT , we will reach that TOTALLY FULFILLED LIFE!!!!!!!
A Blessed Life!
Hi Dean, Not quite sure what "Lost Forever" means but I know that I'm not lost rather I have been Found!!
I don't drink any alcohol! I don't go into bars and I live a very virtuous lifestyle. I'm up at 5:15am, workout, shower get ready for work and I'm out the door by 7:00am. I work 10 hours everyday taking care of three children all day long! During the childrens nap time I try to use this time to make phone calls or read one of your books.
When I finally do get home maybe having to do some stops along the way, I grab something to eat and then check my e-mails and try to study my REI info.
Weekends are my best time and I'm sure that I can squeeze more REI activity into those days.
I know my Breakthrough is just around the corner!
God Bless!
The 3 Circles
Hi Dean,
Sorry to be away for so long from commenting, but just wanted to make a comparison to your weekly blog as being "Time Management" with the right information.
Your comparison to what is worth doing to what is not is something I needed personally.
Thanks again
Doug
great advise
Thank you Dean, for this great ilustration, this is so true, we all have 24 hours, we should spent productively in order to see the results we want.
Thank you again for all your wisdom and motivation.

Hi Dean,
I made a graph of your Weekly Wisdom Time, Activity and Money Circles.
I can upload the file or attach it if I had a place to do so. Then everyone would enjoy it.

Boots on the ground
Hi Dean,
Just returned from an awesome Boots on the Ground training. Met a great group of students and coaches (Randy, Joe + Shah). So I definitely spent some valuable learning time near the center of the circles you drew up there. I can really see how making those circles visible, will filter out where we will be efficient, versus inefficient. The coaches emphasized the time aspect over and over, and how we need to leverage other people's expertise, while they assist us so that we can focus on what we need to accomplish. Hands on valuable lessons that I took home with me.
Awesome!
Pat
Dean,
Thanks for sharing another weekly wisdom video with all of us. These exercises are so valuable to help us with our success. Sometimes if we can be more efficient with our time, it goes along way. Wishing you continued success in all you do. Believe and Achieve!
P.S. Pat (DG User Homeroots) It was great working with you and the other students from Oregon this past week at Dean's Boots on the Ground Event. I look forward to reading about your future real estate deals. Keep up the good work! Believe and Achieve! - Joe

Thanks Dean!
The blog this week definitely reminded me that 'busy work' isn't and hasn't helped me get closer to my goals. Thanks for sharing! Fish
Great !
Thanks for the Inspiration Dean.
Great exercise!
Hi Dean,
This was very informative, I really didn't notice all the time and energy i'm wasting. Thanks!
Cool Exercise
Thanks. It WAS a great exercise! To put something you sort- of-know down on paper helps clarify the ideas.
There's plenty of busy work to do, but it often doesn't get you up the ladder to where you want to be.
Thank you.
Laura
Good Stuff
Hey Dean,
This is good stuff. I have attended a number of time management classes, paid for by my previous employers. It's a great idea to manage your personal life the same way. You made me think about all the time I spend cutting my grass and working on my house. As I get my business more profitable I should farm those duties out; ah to get more profitable, I need to farm those duties out. Building wealth has a lot to do with mindset.
Thanks for the enlightenment.
Ty
Generous as usual!
Thanks Dean!

If anyone doubts your sincerity, they should look before they judge.
The enthusiasm and energy you share with us, and the wish to have all your students succeed, is truely a sign of a good businessman and a LEADER.
If WE succeed, YOU succeed! Thanks again Dean. You give us all inspiration and the will to ACT. YOU ARE THE BEST.
FOUND LIVING IN A DEN OF FOXES
Great!
Been hanging with soooo much negativity that I smell of it. Been doing soooo much for others that I've neglected my own self. HA! -It had even come to the point of being stabbed in the back AFTER they got my help.
Here is the Q I think I will need to write within the center of that 4th circle; What am I doing this for? Honestly, I have learned to be selfish for self. To build my own empire & then when ALL is secure & goals have been met, then I will delegate s o m e time for to "help".
Bitter? -Naw. Time wasted? -Definately
So now I look at it this way, I will have to out-live most just so to break even. And guess what? I plan to live for a very long time.
People, what Dean is teaching is so right-on! SPOT-ON! Just take it and do it and do not look back. Cause once you get off the horse and sit down and others crowd around you and make you think that you are doing the "right" thing, you're a gonner.
Endurance is the game and "no" is the rear guard.
