You live in a great place- San Antonio! One of my favorite places in the U.S. I lived in Austin for several years, and used to visit S.A. often!

Need to go back sometime soon, maybe even get some deals there too!

Wish I could join the DG meetup on July 5, but a bit far for now! ;(

Just gettin started in the DG family.....although I have been a "lurker" for about 4 years.....and this is one of my FIRST actual postings!

I am writing because I have ALWAYS looked for serious DG members in Texas who are "working the program" and have not really found any. When I saw that you were from Texas, I stopped to read your bio.

I have attended several of the intro courses Dean has offered in my area (Waco) and have always come away with useful/valuable information, but have not sensed a tie-in to our communities in Texas.

I haven't really done anything specifically/officially with DG, nor have I bought any of the courses offered......but, I have followed faithfully his blogs and read his books.

I know he is not the ONLY answer to success in real estate, but I do think he effective reads the trends very well and does extensive research. Now that he is looking for regional managers, it tells me that he is ready to broaden his structure and grow his company....it makes perfect sense.....for someone who understands first-hand and has been involved POSITIVELY in real estate for so many years. If it is working.....help it grow.

So, "Fish", I was just wanting to let you know that I also think Texas is a GREAT opportunity state for the "upswing" phase that DG has been talking about....problem is, it is also unique unto itself when it comes to dealing with so many areas of real estate.

I would love to hear more about your DG experience there and possibly work with you to get a stronger DG support structure here in TEXAS!!

Thanks for reaching out to me. I completely understand the 'lurking.' I myself am still hesitant to post but the DG site really is a non-threatening environment where everyone is there to learn and provide insight.

I've tried a couple of times to get something going here in San Antonio with fellow DGers with little success. I actually just posted some information within our San Antonio group about a place here I found CHEAP bandit signs. I intend to post more helpful information and see if that doesn't spark more interest.

I would encourage you to read as much as possible and do as much due diligence as you can before you purchase any course.

The San Antonio market is competitive. I spoke to a guy today who said they spend $10,000 per month on marketing!

That still doesn't stop me from putting out bandit signs every weekend, doing direct mail, driving for dollars, Google Adwords, etc.

Let me know what your thoughts are on building that Texas support structure. I'll PM you my contact info.
