Thoughts and Prayers from my family to all affected by hurricane Sandy.
Hurricane Sandy
Fortunately I do not live close to the water. I do live kindof in the center of the island in Nassau County near the Queens line, however, I am a volunteer EMT with the Garden City Park Fire Department and was out in that storm trying to prevent those who would not take the storm seriously from getting killed. It is amazing how many people were out driving and even walking, some with pets, but some without any reason at all for being out there. My apartment fortunately did not lose power but my work place did until Friday night. We lost it again with the new storm that dumped 8 inches of heavy wet snow on us and took down more wires and trees just not a bad as the hurricane did. We only lost it for 24 hours. The other problem is the gas situation which is worse than ever. Once that settles down then maybe most of us can get back to some normalcy.
Thank you for your prayers especially for those that lost love ones and their homes. Were still praying over here!

Hurricane Sandy
Our hope and prayers are going out to everyone affected by Sandy. Even with the news coverage I can only imagine what they are going through and hope no one else ever has too.
Reading some of the other posting I don't know what else I can say that some one else hasn't already said or wished for everyone that has been affected.
Again, we wish everyone a fast and complete recover.
Thanks Dean for helping us to help those in need!
Hurricane Sandy
I live on the West Coast; we don’t experience storms like that here so it’s hard to visualize what everyone in the storm affected area is going through. Our church is praying for all of you and your families. The devastation is overwhelming; as someone builds homes it's hard to envision the job of re-building. Not to mention the loss of personal items that can never be replaced. Thank You Dean for your generosity!!
Prayer
May all people affected by the storm be save and well and healthy and persevere.
Waiting on the LORD
I pray that you will be conforted by the Lord Himself as you endure these trials and these times.
I pray that you will be strong and wait upon the Lord. Be patient and grateful, and kind to all those in need, and to those who have come to help you.
Turn to God and not away. He is waiting for you to cry out to Him that He may be your strong defender and your deliverer.
God blesses those who seek Him and He answers those who call out to Him in faith--everyone has a measure of faith, even as small as a mustard seed. He can bless it, and make it grow.
He is God, creator or heaven and earth and all the things in the seas, and every particle of dust on the earth. He knows you and wants you to remember Him. He wants you to return to him, and be faithful. Leave everything else behind, press forward. Submit to His will in your life and He will bless you with Himself.
Be encourage to study His word, the Bible, the only truth that is real. The natural man cannot comprehend it because it is spirit. So ask God to give you His spirit to understand His work. It will remind you what is true, it will teach you how to live, and how to please God. It is eternal, as is the spiritual man.
If you have ears to hear, listen to what the spirit is saying. God Bless you and keep you and open your eyes to His work around you that you may be partners with Him, the one and only God, the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Amen.
Thoughts and prayers
To all those affected by Sandy,
With the cold and snow things may get worse for you before they get better. But they will get better. My heart goes out those of you who have lost family or friends. Please know that you will get through this. Let the worst that has happened bring out the best in all of us. The focus now needs to be not on the material things that you have lost and are now gone, but on those intangible things that you still have- faith, courage, determination, and the thoughts, prayers and encouragement of millions of strangers. God bless you.
Dean,
Thank you and God bless you for making a difference in so many peoples lives.
