My Heart Goes Out

My heart goes out to all of the families that were affected by hurricane sandy. I am in Maryland and we had a lot of tree and power lines going down, but nothing compared to north of us, which got all the flooding and damaged caused by this horrific hurricane. This one really hits home because it was so close. I pray for everything to get cleaned up quick and for all the families to bounce back and try to stay positive through these rough times. God Bless

Belmar Beach has been like our second home for nearly a decade now. We are reading stories and looking at pictures from Belmar with great concern, but also with great confidence that this great town will bounce back better than ever! Looking forward to seeing you as good as new next summer, Belmar!

Thoughts and prayers for Sandy victims

Hey Dean, Thanks for the follow up email to get me to post. That's a great thing you're doing.
Sometimes we just forget how lucky we truly are until you see real devastation that other's have to go through. My thoughts and prayer's certainly go out to all those affected. I am sending supplies to the victims with a friend who is driving them up Friday along with other's in our group. If everyone does a little it goes a long way.
Thanks again & I hope you get thousands of comments.

Our Prayers to all in need

Hi everyone,
This is our first posting and What a better reason than to be able to help some one in need.
Thanks to Dean I know God is in all you do helping so many people.

East Coast Thanks You

JoshV's picture

Dean thank you so much for everything that you do. Living in NY my entire life and seeing the devastation up close, it is indescribable. Seeing entire homes and beaches completely wiped off the map, our entire Subway system shutdown to a complete halt, and seeing the NYC dark at night, very eerie. But we will rise and remain steadfast in our re-building. The city is back and I know NJ and all of the surrounding states will come back stronger than ever.
"Sorrow may come for night, but joy comes in the morning."

Thanks again Dean.

Thoughts, prayers, and condolence

Liberty Kat's picture

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone impacted by Hurricane Sandy along with Dean's donation in our behalf! Sincere condolences for those who have lost their loved ones in the midst of the storm. We pray in your favor for God to restore and replenish the losses you have suffered. We pray He provides the help and the hope you need to prevail beyond the devastation. May God bless you all, give you peace, and lift up your spirits!

I was born in New Jersey and lived there for 27 years prior to moving to Texas. I have so many cherished memories of good times spent in NYC and on the NJ shores: Asbury Park, Atlantic City, Cape May, Long Branch, Seaside, Wildwood, etc. It breaks my heart to see the aftermath photos of these places in ruin.

So many people have been affected by the wrath of the storms, including several DG members (Joey, Carol). Know that restoration is possible and Americans help one another in their times of trouble. Hope is on the way!

"For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will lift me high upon a rock."
~Psalm 27:5

Prayers and Best Wishes

Superstorm Sandy

Altough I've lived in Michigan for 35 years, I grew up in Metuchen, NJ, which was hard it. I still have many childhood friends there. Many had power restored, just before the Nor'easter hit yesterday. These aree good, decent hardworking folks, struggling in a very expensive region of the country. It will take a very long time for most to recover. They need not only financial support/assistance, but our prayers, as well.

You're in my thoughts and prayers...

I have kept you folks in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your head up and never lose hope. Thank you Dean for your generosity. It is greatly appreciated.

The Big Storm

I realize the relief efforts are not as strong as they have been in the past and the stress of a shelter is not very relieving. I hope all that were displaced are warm at least and able to move forward quickly. I have worked hard to stay off the streets after I lost my house and job by: volunteering for TANF pay, being homeless while waiting for a low income apartment, and if my small family can do it many many more can. I have volunteered at a shelter for almost two years and know how easy it is to get ill, get harassed, get over-looked, but in a homeless setting being entertaining is more beneficial than looking down on each other, laughter helps pass the time, so keep your heads up and hold on to those you love, those who can give are rite around the corner and never far behind.

Thinking and praying for you all!

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

DEAN, thanks for giving us this way to help the victims of Hurricane sandy. May God bless you.

Happy thoughts

As most of my friends are in NJ and NY (I am in Colorado now), my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to everyone affected by this storm. I have been brought to tears by the images of the shore, especially Seaside Heights, where many of my happiest summer memories were formed.
Thank you, Dean, for doing this. ((hugs))

Being Our Brother's Caregiver

Dean's TEAM is sending you love and hugs. I am hoping the grief of your many losses will not overtake you and will gradually subside and even turn around for your good. Difficult times bring out the worst and the best in people.

The destruction that hit your lifestyle was so hard to experience from a distance. It was so swift and expansive! Please allow me to share your feelings of despair and shock. I hope our small gifts can help you as you each build toward "new beginnings".

Love and Grace of Almighty God be with you, from Diane.

Prayers for the ones affected by the hurricane

You have been in my prayers since the storm. I hope all of you are in some type of shelter by now. I know it is hard to say keep the faith, but God will not forsake you.
