Well...if you do, you're in good company. See why in this video and discover a surprising truth that will change all that for you, if, you let it.

Living in the now

Hi Dean, You made a powerful statement that says living in the now to make a better tomorrow. When living in the now will always be a challenge toward making tomorrow better. The thought pattern of yesterday will always remind us of how things use to be. The old thought sometimes will captivate us and if the thought is good or bad, its up to us to cast it down or bring it back to present. I want to thank you for bringing it back to present so that you can continue making tomorrow better. The old thought patterns of yesterday is a valuable moment of thought to remind us of several things, we will not repeat the mistakes we made, make a better tomorrow, and try to make the now a better thought for tomorrow.Thank you for what you are getting ready to do in the now to make tomorrow better.

depressed

hard to imagine you depressed after seeing what a cup of coffee did to you on the 2012 assume by the way. i had joined the success academy about 2 years ago and life just kinda kicked me down. i let my zest for my dream kinda slip away for a time. the edge program got me started making offers an dare i say it following instructions. i have been working my way back through the success academy. i have several offers out through realtors in florida and in nh. i'm so nervous but i know once i get that first deal done it will click in my brain and i'll finally have confidence ( a little) i want to thank you for the help you have given me through your books and programs. i would probably still be dreaming about my first deal, instead i am waiting to here if my offer has been accepted. so thanks again. i glad to here you were able turn your thinking around, you must maybe have learn that from tony robbins he's a very helpful coach.thank also for the weekly wisdom the recent one about the fmv loans i didn't know that thanks again.looking forward to the edge 2013 hope i can be there in person

Thank You Dean !

I watch Joel Osteen every Sunday morning.

His message this week was "don’t give up your joy".
He said we have to make a decision a head of time every morning and say it; no matter what comes on my way today, I am not going to let people, circumstances to sour my day and steal my joy.

I also like the following message from Victoria Osteen:

You have to take time every morning to "coach" your thought life. You can't just wait to see how the day will unfold; you have to set yourself up for victory. Just like a great coach takes the time to build up his team & get them thinking in the right direction before the big game.

Wish you all the best of luck!

Been There - Done That!

We can all attest the things that have held us up, in our lives. Moving on is the key! We all get stuck at times, but moving ahead is the key.

Each of us have our stories to tell - 26 years ago the doctors did not know whether I had a heart attack or a stroke. I was in the hospital for a week. Every test in the book was run and the bottom line was I was all stressed out. Made up my mind I was not going to get sick again. Not been sick since.

Got rid of all that was stressing me out. My ex was next to the last to go. The last to go will be my job.

Now, time to get going with Real Estate! Calling Realtors tomorrow!

A man walks down a street and there is a hole...

willowme's picture

Hi Dean,

You remember that one right? ...He sees the hole but too late and falls in. Takes him a long time to figure out how to get out. Eventually he finds some hand-holds and drags himself out. Next day he is walking down the street and almost catches himself but falls in. But this time he knows where the hand-holds are and gets out quickly. The next day he is walking down the street and sees the hole just in time to avoid it. The next day he walks down a different street giving the hole a wide berth.

Life is like that. We have a problem and we either figure out how to avoid it or find a solution. If you have the right attitude, you know that even if you haven't experienced THIS particular problem, you will build experience and gain confidence with each problem/lesson.

There is a new word for a lesson in which you find the blessing in. It's called a BLESSON.

Here's to turning our lessons into blessons.

What you said is so true Smiling It's important to be gentle with each other because we are not always so gentle on ourselves. We don't ever really know what someone else is going through, and this includes the people who we will meet in our work as REIs.

Thanks for sharing

One road I can't afford to take is the road behind me. The things I've been through are just too hard to relive. But I do know, just like you realized that without those events my 3 children would not have been born and in turn their children would not have been born and I can't imagine my life without them. Would I change anything if I could? Absolutely not! I earned all the lessons and I truely enjoy my family. And it gives me the conviction to do better in the future. Thanks to you, I can see it as a reality. Whatever mistakes you made on the road to get here, I am thankful for because I needed your weekly wisdoms and your dedication to helping so many like me make it. Without those events who knows if you would be here in our lives making so many people succeed. You are a gem among human beings and don't you forget it!

Staying positive

Dean, I have always been a real positively charged person when it comes to setting and achieving my goals. I have never failed at anything in my life when I make my mind up that I'm going to do something. As I placed my father's (who I lost in 1994 when he was just 54)grave blanket on his grave yesterday I paused to reflect on the time that has past since he left us so young. I thought of the things that I have done that he would be proud of me for and some of the things maybe not. One thing he taught me when I was a very young boy was when I asked him if I could join and play youth sports.
He said this to me, "if you join something, you see it through until the end and never quit or give up. If it wasn't for you then find something else that is"
Now I have always lived by this advice and because it had such a profound effect on me, I approach life and all it has to offer with this as my determination and motivation to succeed. I have to admit that this is a big commitment for me to undertake and at times I struggle with the obstacles that come with the investment in education. However, I truly understand the value that comes with this investment and I know that I have those special gifts that God has instilled in me and my father has helped me to realize this. I am a father of 5 wonderful children and a husband to one very special woman. One of our children is a special needs child that is now 12 years old and he is my 7 levels deep reason why I will succeed. God has chosen us to take care of Christian and through him we teach compassion and humility to our everyone around us. That is special! My goal is to make Christian's life as special as he is and to give him and his Mother everything they need to ensure he is well cared for. Perhaps that helps me come to terms with some of the things from my past that I maybe could have done better.
Thank you very much for taking the path you have otherwise there would many of us lost along our journey to find something that is meaningful and fulfilling! Enjoying the journey!

I appreciate You Dean

I got to tell you Dean, that is exactly what I was going through, while looking at some photos from 2011, right before my mom past away. What a difficult time that has been in my life. I feel about my mom as you feel about your "Grams".

A lot of things happened to my family after my mom past and by looking at those picture I was reminded of the pain and unfair situations all over again.

I then realized that all is not lost and that I was to pass on all my experiences to my sons and make their lives better.

My list of "gratitude" is a long one and I'm happy to say you are on that list!

All the best,
Sean

Falling in the hole!

MiniRay's picture

Hi Wendy,

It's so true about falling into that hole we call "Life".
I remember Cory telling that story at the Summit last week. But hey, we gotta keep pushing and moving forward.
I ain't gonna sugar coat anything about investing cause I just petrified of failing. But I guess the only way to really learn the business is putting ourselves out there huh!?!
Well good luck to you k.
Best regards,
Minnie & Ray Smiling

you do inspire

Just when I get a bit unsure of myself I see you in the video and it puts me back in the grove. I really thank you for your time and effort you give.
Have a Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family. Well off to work in HVAC/R. A friend in God James.

Inspiration

Dean I have been following you for yers now and that exact sentiment is a constant challenge. I have missed many deals because of lack of knowledge, funding,...etc But I won't give up knowing this is the best time in history to buy. I am literally up at 4:00 a.m. strategizing how to secure a propety I have watched for six months to become available. It's in probate with huge potential. My determination to complete my first deal will not waiver. Thanks for your weekly blogs it helps to know we have the help from someone who sincerely cares.

The 'wishes of the past'

D-HI's picture

I have a saying that I made, "don't wish the past, create the future". Great words to live by, but even I still fall into the 'wishing of the past'. Like for instance I wish I would have gotten into Real Estate when I first found my love for it, which was in my 20's when I WAS SINGLE, and only had me to worry about. But I let the nay-sayers get to me. For those who were able to get involved when young/single, good for you. For those who ARE young and or single, GO FOR IT 100% full steam ahead! Don't be scare of failure, cause you'll never be successful without it! When I did finally pull the trigger on real estate investing, I was married and had kids. It has been VERY tough to say the least. Doing this on my own without partners, solely supporting a family, working 40 a week AND with a live-in nay-sayer, has almost broken me. But I keep on truckin, and hoping for change/help, and brighter investing days. I will never stop trying to create my future!

Peace,
Darren

I think we are struggling with this right now.

RobandRenee's picture

Husband and wife team using your system, trying to rock our world. We disagree on a sale right now, and I can see that it has largely to do with fear and negativity from him and living in the now through me...not judging, please try to understand, I respect him and appreciate him...I want to sell low and now and he wants to hold and sell higher in the future...neither is wrong. We just disagree. I can see that selling now would access cash for us that we could re-invest in and make more and he sees that if we hold until summer it will earn more . Please close your eyes for a minute and send positive thoughts our way that we will unify and make a great choice for us.

Past life issues

I grew up dirt poor, the oldest daughter of 9,dad left family when I was 10, embarrassed of it all, very low self worth, mother raised us all the best she could; I am an innate artist, became wealthy at 24 as a Tattoo artist, tough industry to say the least; I have been financially well of and back to being poor a number of times, life goes on.
In 2006, my mother, my best friend was lost to diabetes, still haunts me, did I do enough for her?
Lost my husband to lung cancer 6 mos. later, nothing I could do, he died in my arms. Looking back, God has looked after me w/life lessons, giving me perseverance , now I am so poor I can't afford to get started in RE, I have made a few personal purchases in the past, but things came to a halt a few yrs. ago, lose of job, disabilities...still,like you I press on and look forward to what the next day will bring. I know I will be prosperous again one day and still look to REI... there are so many deals to be done, I just haven't found the right financial backer. But then, that is why God gave us bootstraps! To pull ourselves up! Enjoy the holidays!

Lift Yourself Up...

Valiant's picture

Dean,

Mamma used to say "lift yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again." No really--just want to throw that in.

Understand this, Dean. You and you alone lift me up with your blogs and daily wisdom; with your RE training and insights; and with the continuous feedback you and the DG family provide.

So, I encourage you to keep doing what you are doing. You got the mojo to change millions of lives and we look forward to seeing your smiling face.

The past?

Hello Dean Graziosi,

Thank you once again for sharing. Your thoughts are powerful and story are amazing. I enjoyed another great one of your wonderful weekly blog. Who would not have a past? All of us does have one, but it's our strength of will power that can lift us out. Even when we have overcame, it has a way to creep back to create depression or sadness. But we are in control and continue to fight those feelings off and get us back in the NOW.
God bless you Dean for your inspiration.

Noel Powell.

Thank you!

Dean, thanks for sharing your experience - I always get a little blue near the holidays, thinking of those who don't have much and how it must really suck around the holidays when everyone is buying stuff they don't need, and you don't have what you DO need. Used to be when I got the blues, I went shopping (shop therapy!), but now, I only have to think of my two beautiful kids and they always make me smile. The other thing I do when I feel down is try to help someone in need - whether its putting a couple dollars into the red kettle, opening the door for an elderly person, or letting someone go ahead of me at the grocery checkout. Dean, I hope you have someone like you in your life for those rare times that you need to be lifted up. Thanks for being you.

Right on target!

Wow did this one hit home for me. Yesterday was a bad day emotionally-feeling sorry for myself, thinking success will never happen for me, hurting financially and not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Blah, blah, blah. Same stuff, different day...

I got up this morning and was praying. I am a conqueror! God has great plans for me! Nothing is impossible with God! Hoowah!

Thank you for being so transparent. That can be embarrassing to admit, but it really helps me realize how similar our struggles are. I truly believe being grateful is a powerful weapon against these demons.

I work at a psych hospital and we see many many hurting people come in with severe depression from horribly catastrophic events in their lives. So heartbreaking. Sometimes I can barely speak to them. Just sit and listen and cry with them. I have so much to be grateful for.

Thank you, Dean, for this great reminder. God is on our side!

Killing the villain inside...

gabewilson83's picture

That is the most challenging thing for me to do deal with Dean. I've made many mistakes with other businesses I've tried and so the failures of those attempts have made me a little fearful so to speak. That voice in my head begins to think negatively and tries to bring me down, but as I watch your weekly wisdom videos, you give me so much hope and your extremely passionate about what you do and the success of others, I love that about you. You're an inspiration!

looking up and forward

I've been struggling for 2 years to recover and move past a series of misfortunes, obstacles, set backs and disappointments. My savings were wiped out by market conditions and I'm out of work so I took courses to see if new skills would help. I have the diploma but now the job opportunities require a license but I can't get that until there's a job to do to get the qualifications for it!

I attended a Buying Summit, moved past fear and depression and focussed on what I could do to move forward. I closed a deal on a rental property and it feels like a positive step to get my life back on track.

Dean, I'm grateful for your encouragement.

Still Wrestling Too

Hi Dean,

I was just speaking with a client today about things I had to over come as a child. Such as being told that "The older you get, the dumber you get!" "Not only are you half blind, you're half deaf too!", "You must be as Dumb as you look!", "When you grow up, you're gonna be an alcoholic just like your Daddy!" etc, etc.

I used those negative statements as fuel to motivate me to succeed in life and prove the ones who said it wrong. However, to this day, in spite of the successes that I have had, those statements still come to my remembrance occasionally and cause those childhood feelings to resurface.

I am thankful for your program, seminars and weekly wisdom's because they help me to recondition my mindset and keep moving forward to succeed in this venture as well.

Mistakes

yedinak's picture

Dean
If you don't make mistakes it means that your not doing anything. Everyone has bad days but if you can have more good days than bad ones your on your way to success. I was a little down the last couple on days because in Wisconsin it just snowed and it wasn't very sunny but I know that the next deal is just around the corner and I look forward to finding it and moving ahead.
Keep up the good work and have a Happy Holiday Season.

That hit the spot Dean!

Dean, that w/awesome of course again, I w/feeling down about my wife having to go Mexico to take care of her mom n not knowing if she would get back in because immigration wont give her the greencard because she crossed illegally but then I listened to you and immediately i felt better, i am immersing myself in Insiders Edge listening to edge 2012, n kicking ass! Thx Dean and my wife WILL COME BACK IN because she helps me tremendously(I use a white cane because of tunnel vision)and we will find a way with Gods help, it's been tough, but how bad do I want it right? Thx.

Dean

Mari's picture

Dean I'm sorry you felt so bad, but it just teaches us to appreciate more the things we have. I believe nothing in this word is a coincidence, that everything happens for a reason. Everything we do or say touches others in so many ways, ways that we will never know. I appreciate you and all your advice. I myself have felt that way lately, I just hand all my troubles over to God and I have faith that he will lead the way.

The Psychic Dean Strikes Again!

propertycircle's picture

You did it again! My husband & I were sitting here in a huge funk & it's as if you were reading our minds & responded to our cries for help! It seems that anything we try to sell, our inventory at the store, our cars, real estate, anything, is just not selling. We got this spectacular deal on a house in a prestigious town. Zestimate is $170,000. & we're selling it for $115,000. It needs updating. We presented it to our list of buyers, but to no avail. Still trying though....posting on various investor sites & clubs. We are open to any suggestions (& offers)! Please let me know your opinion on this. Thanks! Have a great night! Smiling And thanks for the Pep Talk! Mark & Mary
