Hey Dean!

thomgilbert's picture

Destroy what is not excellent in our lives is good advise and a great challenge! I'll get working on my list.

The green powder came last week (Tuesday) and after 6 days I'm finding that I'm enjoying the taste more as I visually think about how good it is for my body and mind as I drink it! I had to start thinking positively about it because the first few sips were tough to swallow but now one scoop of greens, a squeeze of lemon juice and some flax seed oil mixed with a lot of warm water is a rejuvenating way to start the day! I found that when I mixed the greens with cold water it made me think of drinking nasty pond water but when I mixed it with warm water it made me think of drinking tea or Chinese herbs. It always amazes me how our minds create our beliefs with using good or bad visualization of thoughts.

Thank you for all you do to help us all become better people in this world!

Make it a great week!
Thom

Cleaning out junk!

TinaScott's picture

Hi Dean, thank you for sharing your view on wiping out the bad things or things that don't get you anywhere. I have been working on this in the past few years. I have eliminated certain family and issues that weren't mine to solve, friends that really didn't do anything with their own lives and nah sayers, but their is another thing I have been working on and that is TV. When we started in January with DG, we cut out the news, oh my I can't even hear the news without covering my ears, I don't want to hear it. If I want to know about something I will read alittle in the paper or look it up online, but I hate the news now. I also have eliminated TV shows during the day or evening that do nothing but stop me from getting things done I need to do for my business. I do have DVR so my favorite shows I record and we have a family night were we watch all our favorite shows and we can fast forward thru the commercials. It truly is a distraction for me and I have just turned it off and pretend it isn't there. Thank you for sharing this, I am going to work on my time management, I get interrupted and I am just working on a routine since I started doing our business full time.

10 COMMANDMENTS

Dean, that is so true, and when I try to line up with perfection I fail. I know it is a lonely walk when you start to cut things that don't benefit God, universe, self it get tough being the only one who wants to make a difference. I am struggling with those decisions this very moment in my life, to go on and do the right thing. I will assess my actions and be my judge, not to let everyone down.

great timing

once again thank you for sharing your abilities and life. since I became involved w your family I have become a different person...with goals that I can actually reach. thank you. to get rid of un needed things in life really strikes a chord as someone close to me has destroyed my trust and I shall delete from my life. herbie (my nickname)

new life

HomeRoots's picture

Moving to Oregon today, starting a new life there. Will be cutting out sugar. Already cut out meat, so I am on my way to a healthier lifestyle. Will start over with RE. Had a tough year with incredible hardships that also effected my health. Certainly slid back big time. But I am getting back on my feet, dusting myself off and get going (after I unpack in Oregon first). Will move into our new home this Friday. Can't wait.

I use a strategy to recycle the things which I can't destroy.

thought patterns, I've recycled mine so that whenever I get stuck thinking in a certain way, I just apply some new strategy; I just tell myself something else enough times that it eventually makes those old thought patterns disappear.

list of things I should not be doing.....

thanks Dean.....will definitely do this assignment to help identify what is holding me back as well as what should be substituted in place......positive, productive, and powerful actions that will get me to where I want to be for me and my family.....have a great day!!!

Desire To Go Forward

Hey Dean it's great to get these tips of health and wisdom to be like the body of humans is to get rid of these toxics things that are not helpful for us it's like cleaning gold to get to the pure stuff of it getting rid of the dross and being the best we can be in all our future endeavors thanks for awakening the giant that's within.

It's not as difficult as I thought...

You have just given me a way of really sitting down and thinking about how I allow the negative into my life and the wasted time. I will do just as you said, "write it all down in a notepad, then go back" and closely identify and analyze all that I need to get rid of in my life. Thanks again, Dean. Your wisdom is always leading the way to a better path for my life.

Wished Blessings,
Aracely

Thank you

I just wanted to say that I am a better person for having enrolled in your real estate investing program. It is so much more than the bright future and all of the possibilities. On a personal level, coming here to this site and interacting with others here has been uplifting, inspiring and at times humbling and has highlighted what was good in me and helps me daily on improving the areas that need work. This by itself is priceless.

Thank you so much for being you and for bringing out the best in me.

All blessings to you and your family.

warmest regards,
Lisa richardson

GIGO

firefly's picture

Hi Dean, thanks for accepting my invitation and thank you for the GIGO info. It is what I call garbage in, garbage out. When we allow negative situations or people to affect us, we must throw that garbage out immediately and get back on track. It is so easy to slide but you have to be willing to regain strength and courage to move forward. Great message as always!!!

If it is to be it's up to me!

The thoughts that you shared with us Dean are very timely for many of us who have been going along with the norm and allowing it to slow us down ,get us off track and just hinder our business from growing and going. But you hit the nail on the head with this subject of getting the thing or things out of our lives that have been a hinderance to us and seek the excellence for our business and life period. The only person who can make that happen is me and no one else.

Will do, thank you.

I think is the best way to live; an excellent life, surrounded by excellence.

Excellent idea, I believe it's going to take some time and hard work, but it will be worth it.

Will do, thank you Dean.

Cesar.

Well Said

bigjim758a's picture

We have to work at not pushing excellence out of the may for mediocrity. I would challenge everyone to consider how much that applies to what we allow ourselves to absorb. Dean mentioned the cocktails, but I would challenge you to take a hard look at the media you are basting yourself with. Sure we all need the weather but how does staying up to date on our governing babies, or starlet divorces, or Hollywood rumor trade add anything to your lives? I would challenge you that it doesn't. Tapes from all the greats will serve you (Zig Zigler, Brain Tracy, Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi Smiling to name a few, would all serve us better then so much of what we are absorbing now. So if you are just looking for background noise? OK, make it positive background action instead of hypnotic dribble.
Wow, that wend longer than I thought, and remenber whenever you are pointing your finger at someone you have 3 fingers pointing right back at you.

Destroy That Which Isn't Excellent

The Cost of Holding On to what is not Excellent:

Tightly clench your hand. After a few seconds, you'll notice how tiring it is to do this.

Holding on takes energy. It doesn't really matter what we're holding on to, a relationship, job, or material possessions, it all takes energy.

And as the clenched hand exercise illustrates so well, you can't reach out or grasp anything new when your hands are clenched!

There are many, many reasons why we don't let go. Sometimes it means facing our grief or other challenging emotions. For example, we might not want to let go of a job because we'd feel worried about money.

It helps to remind yourself that all things change. Winter isn't a failure because spring is here.
Change is the natural rhythm of things.

Write a phrase or few sentences about something you'd like to let go of. Now, scrunch up that paper and burn it or throw it away or rip it into pieces. There's something powerful about putting things into a physical form like this that makes it feel more real.

Another thing that will help you let go is to do it in stages. Start with a little, like Dean said, then work up to something larger. Just ask
yourself to let go for an hour, or an afternoon, or a day... Baby steps.
Do you know if you change the direction of an
airplane by just one degree, it will arrive in a whole different country? Small works!

Reframe the idea of letting go and think of it
instead as moving things along. Moving things along is being in the natural flow of life and it involves releasing so the new can come in. We release the old air in our lungs so the new air can come in.

Enjoy your day!

Weekly Wisdom #257

I use a great deal of my time doing favors and being there for others during the times I should be spending on research and Real Estate development and investment duties; and at the end of the business day, my Real Estate dreams are not fulfilled or realized. I need to prioritize my time better. I will do my best to improve upon the quality of time I devote to Real Estate Investment. Thanks Dean for addressing this matter - you help me to identify what I am doing wrong.

Self Evaluation

BrianNorris01's picture

It's a great idea and should be a part of our daily, weekly action plan to evaluate ourselves. We have to recognize those habits that are not productive in our lives spiritually, emotionally, economically and particularly for our real estate business and conquer them or destroy them. I've been going to Youtube.com and listening to Tony Robbins and it has made a tremendous difference with my outlook on life. Thank you for all you do Dean.

Weekly Wisdom #257

Wow! yes you do have a lot of energy!
thank you for your time and wisdom.

This is a place where I can come and receive positive energy

and not destruction in the world of real estate.

Thank you so much hugs...

W/Wisdom #257
