Tracy Lynn's Journal - As transparent as it gets.

Tracy Lynn's Journal - As transparent as it gets.

This is my first journal entry and I'm not quite sure where I should start. Well, I'll begin with when and why I decided to buy Dean's book.

I ordered Dean Graziosi's book "Profit From Real Estate Right Now" around the second week of August. I heard of it through his show on television the same morning I ordered the book. I did it because I was inspired by his unyeilding confidence of certain success his system promised. That and Im in no position to take any chances of refuting any options available to me.

After ordering the book I wanted so badly to check out this very website but I didnt have any internet access. So I just waited for the book to arrive. As soon as I received it I popped the DVD in and listened filled with hope. I began reading his book immediately after and it was just stuck to my hands.

I was insulted and put down by negative input from friends and family every time I was caught with the book. I was discouraged so I would only read late at night with a small flashlight in my room as I share it with two other people. I was only two chapters from finishing when I woke up to find that my Mother and her husbands dogs had attacked and killed one of my cats. I was and still am absolutely devastated. I had stopped reading the book and I felt as if my world were falling down all around me. As much as I love kids I dont have any so my cats are my babies.

About a week later I caught another one of Dean's shows on TV and thought I should finish the book. It was and is my only hope of bettering my situation. You see, my fiance and I use to live in fifth wheel trailer about 30 feet long. Well, we let our troubles get the best of us and we left eachother. Well its been a year and we're back together but had to resort to living with my mom in her already crowded duplex/apt. We have been here for 3 months now and my fiance has been laid off from his job. Im a waitress and make just enough to get by day to day. On top of it all, my mothers month to month contract has been cancelled by her landlord so in a months time my fiance and I are left to no other option but to move back into the dreaded 30 foot fifth wheel trailer! UGH!

So needless to say I finished the book and I have all the motivation in the world to take action with Dean's plan. I have already started saving to join his success academy and I cant wait for that day!

I have highlighted and tabbed the book and taken notes from reading it over and over again. I have come to ignore the many insults and discouragement from home and friends by taking refuge in the Dean Graziosi website. The support here is simply phenomenal!

So my current status is just motivated and as inspired as can be. Ready to get started working towards my first 'killer deal'. My first step is to find a great Realtor and a great Broker. I have been writing down every for sale and for rent sign I see (I note the for rents in hopes that they are willing to sell). I hope Im on the right track and taking the steps in order. I want to make sure I have buyers for my sellers. I dont want to start off making a bad rep for myself if I cant back up my promises with a closed deal.

My fingers are crossed. My heart is full of hope. My thoughts are positive and my future is on the line. Success here I come!!!! Eye-wink

Tracy Lynn,

Congratulations on your new job - I knew they would want to hire you. Even when the manager gave you all the reasons he wouldn't he still did. Just goes to show you that you do have what it takes to succeed.

Wow

Ok, just wanted to let you know that I very much appreciate the difficulties you endure daily, yet come here with a positive attitude. That is encouraging to others who are struggling to get started, myself included. All I can say is...Keep at it with the positive attitude, along with the hard work, and you will get there. I hope to read your success story soon.

Congratulations in advance,

Tim

I'm back..... ??

so it has been quite some time since my last active post. Im still broke as ever and im practically homeless. Justin (my once upon a time fiance) and I are no longer engaged... its been a bit of a rough patch for us. He was laid off his job and me only working as a server at a restaurant, i decided one early morning while watching deans beacon of hope commercial that I found a way for us to work together and make a fortune doing it... well, he ridiculed me sooo much along with everyone else... and wanted me to give it up. he eventually threatened to tear the pages out of the book and throw them out in the trash. one thing led to another... where we were living with my mom didnt work out and then I had no other place to live but a 20 foot fifth wheel trailer... its hard to get internet in one of those so i wasnt on the site for all that time. Justin and I still speak but he still doesnt have a job, I still work as a server, but i still have hope and faith in deans system and also all of you. congrats to everyone who has made deans teachings a reality and a life for you. I wish i could say the same for myself. I still hang tight to deans last book and i just bought his new one your town your profits and I plan to read that one just as much as i have this one. Its off to work for me now back at the good ol' olive garden. oh btw, those of you who might be wondering bout the steakhouse job.... that manager was a self loathing chauvinistic pig. so it didnt work out there. im still as broke as ever working at the OG. I now have $25.96 in my bank acct after buying deans new book just now...

I hope everyone else is doing better than i.

speaking of, could everyone please keep a friend of mine and her family in your prayers. A friend of mine from work just got news two days ago that her husband (who is in military overseas) his plane has gone missing. Not good news. She has taken some time off work to be at home with their kids but please pray for them all.

drive gear

Tracy,
Think of yourself as a car in drive gear. You have no other gear only drive gear. You will always be moving foward. You will always be moving foward unless you hold your self back. Holding yourself back is harder and more work than letting yourself move foward.

Naysayers can not stop you of even slow you down. Only you can hold yourself back. If you listen to maysayers and let thier uneducated opinions affect you then you might be letting them talk you into holding yourself back. Only you can do it. Naysayers can only complain, nag, and cry. That can't and won't affect you unless you let it.

I would like to personally thank you for sharing your 'DRIVE' with us. Your drive like that very special first cup of coffee in the morning 'really get's me going".
I really like a comment of yours - "DG family. Without them, my future is the present." I so agree Tracy, and want a much much better future than what my current 'present' is and that really motivates me.

Good to hear your friend's husband will be ok. You and they are in my prayers.

Scott

Thank you Scott.

You're so very right. I really am trying to get back in the swing of things. I am so anxious to get my copy of deans new book. I do have doubts about being a successful investor in this city. So this book should be great! Again, thank you for your post of concern, I truly appreciate it.

Take care and god bless.

Im back... again....

I know, I know...

This is my lost time story... since my last post I have been up, down, back & forth and down again. I left Justin, ran off to San Antonio where I stayed with a very good childhood friend for a while. Then I tried one of my dreams as a photographer in Florida. Once I ran myself in the red BROKE I crawled back home to my mommy and cried for myself for a couple months. All the while from 2008 through all my moves and back to Texas I was still working as a server. My company was nice enough to transfer me from restaurant to restaurant. Once I was done with my depressing little pity party one thing led to another and somehow I found myself back together with Justin. We shared our apologies and he vowed to change forever. So far so good.

My mother moved to NM to help out family and Justin and I moved in with a relative of his for a few months and Justin got a job at an auto parts store.

I never lost sight of my other dream to be a Real Estate Millionaire Eye-wink so when I got word of Deans newest book I was on it! And it got me going all over again.

It turns out Justin's mother owns a house in our city and her tenets of about 7 years told her they would be moving out. With my knowledge of what I learned from deans books I called her up and asked her if Justin and I could move into her vacant house. I explained that we were in no financial shape to afford the cost of rent so I offered her this: Instead of your home sitting stale and vacant, why not let us move in, fix it up here and there and we'll pay the taxes in January.

Well this was back in April. But nonetheless she AGREED!! Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe it! So we moved in May 1st. And even BETTER she said that she would only charge us HALF of the taxes since we weren't here the full year. FINALLY! We caught a break. Whew!

Now we've been here for a little over 6 months. Its nothing glamorous but its a home! We have a front and back yard, a driveway with carport, three bedrooms, one bathroom Sad , a kitchen and a living room. Most of all a roof over our heads.

The house is pretty old.. probably built in the fifties. The window frames need to be replaced, the AC is rusted out and needs replacing, the heater im reluctant to use until i get a carbon monoxide detector... there is a lot more work that needs fixin but we'll get to it...

HERES THE KICKER!! I became a little more gutsy and decided to ask her if we could buy the house from her. She AGREED and even went as far to say that she would sell it for what she bought it for 30 years ago.... $30,000!

I looked up the house on zillow and it estimated the house to be valued at $70,000.... Now I just dont know where to go from here. Help... PLEASE???

Tracy Lynn,

...Welcome back to the DG forum. Congratulations regarding the potential deal on the home you are considering purchasing. You may want to look into a FHA mortgage. They offer various programs including one that only requires 3.5% down. They also have a rehab and repair program under 203k. Attached below are some useful links for your reference:

Good luck with this potential real estate deal. Keep searching until you find the right program at the right bank. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe
