I felt like I was gasping for air!! I didn't realize how much I depend on coming here to record activities (even if only a fraction of them) and visit with the DG Family! I guess I'm as addicted as ever! LOL!!!!
So, as I move forward with even bigger and better REI, I look forward to keeping up with everyone's journals, sharing what we can to help each other, and rejoicing in each DG Family victory!! Dean is so awesome to keep this site going (and always for FREE!)
One thing I thought would be fun is to include some vlogs. Maybe we can get deansmedia.com to be a catalyst for sharing REI vids on a regular basis, or any of the video sites for that matter (just post a link in our threads). LOVE seeing everyone.
Oh, btw, make sure you check out the 2009 "Send Me Away, Dean" finalists announced last night. SO Exciting!!! Congrats to all the finalists, and to EVERYONE who has taken the action to change their lives this year, thanks to Dean! [edit in: CONGRATS Carol!!]

My name is Carlos Nolasco, I live in Durham, NC . I read one of Dean's Book and I read about you. It's amazing to see how far have you gone investing in real estate. I'm new with this and I'm so scared to go from just a reader to my first deal, I don't have anymoney so assigning contract would work for me but no clue how to start, there are a lot of foreclousures where I live buy I don't know if assign contract works with foreclousures, please any comment will help.

Gosh, it's been a good summer! Not sure if I should be posting in this journal or my previous one, since after a long divorce,(costs incurred, and agreements made), net worth dropped to below the $1M mark. BUT, the good news is, having the freedom now to move forward, things have lined up so amazingly, and life is GOOD! This month, in particular, has been so sweet, with several closings and unbelieveable deals coming together. (getting super darn close to the $1M mark again already.
)
Divorce is never good, and that is a sad part, but sometimes it's just the only way to end a living hell. Sorry if too personal, but this is more for me than anyone else. NOW, on to the beauty of life!! And I once again want to say how grateful I am, and have always been, for Dean and all the friends on this site. So awesome! to have people that uplift rather than tear down. Blessings galore!!!! AND NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I can now testify to pulling properties back from foreclosure, doing RE even WITH trashed credit, and overcoming the thumb of hard money. NOTHING is insurmountable. Nothing. :)Do what ya gotta do, rest when it's done.

I just want to say, I was speaking only of my own situation. I would never encourage anyone to make hasty life decisions, but weigh out everything... I'm just thankful that what Dean teaches can take a person to security, and self-worth, whatever that may mean to them. Just to know that a person does not have to struggle financially is a HUGE burden-lifter! THAT, I want to encourage EVERYONE to believe and strive for, because it's possible. For everyone! IF they're willng to put in the time and the effort, just like Jen said in her recent post.

I just participated in Joe and Stacey's live chat on making every day count. They recommended a journal also. I read the beginning of your journal again to figure out how to post my own. Hoping I can find it again to add to it.
Working on getting my first wholesale deal. Came close right before Christmas, but it didn't happen that time. I'm positive it will come and will snowball as you told Glen & I when you were here mentoring us. We appreciated everything you did with us.
