I Turned Down $50,000!

Wow, you know you got a good deal locked up when the owner of the property you have locked up under contract offers you $50,000 to tear up your contract and walk away from the deal. That is what happened to me a few days ago. I decided to turn down the $50,000 and keep the property. Oh and I bought the property with no money down, 100% bank financed, and NO EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT! In fact I walked away from the closing table with a check for over $3000! Getting paid to buy a property is really cool. Even though I have bought over 15 properties where I walked away from the closing table with a cashiers check (getting cash at closing) it is still a great feeling, especially when people tell you it is not possible anymore! How many properties can you buy when you get paid to buy them? INFINATE! AS MANY AS YOU CAN FIND!!! Go out there and get it done! It's worth it!

Sounds like that cbr is going to make a whole lot more then 50k thats why he was offered 50k to walk away from it. Must be a very very good deal.

if he was gonna give cbr 50k to walk away that means cbr might be sitting on a 500k or more deal for himself i mean i wouldnt have turned down 50k but cbr is a pro at this buy the way i have both buyer and seller contact on this one prop and i wanna get them moving faster so i can make some end of the year money what can i do or say to get them moving fast im trying to set up

it seems obvious from the comments, CBR is many levels up above the rest and did not need the cash. He could walk when the rest of us would be tempted to talk.

My guess is between 100K-150K of equity in the property with positive cash flow of $300-$500.

Maybe we could have a contest on whose guess is closest. LOL!

why i walked

The reason I walked away is because I bought the property for about $800,000 less than what it is worth. I am selling the property next month for a massive profit! I do mean massive! I can't wait to tell you folks the details. This no money down deal is the deal of a lifetime.

i said it when he first said he turned the 50k down he might be making 300k to 500k on the deal get your money crb im trying to do some of my deals just like you i found a seller that has many property's and deep pockets and he wants me to find him buyers and we worked out a good mark up on property's and we did all this without a contract were working on a longer term contract even one of my buyers tried to contact him and he didnt even wanna deal with him without me i think i found a great investor/seller to help me make money got fingers crossed

apears, the property was much more worth than the selling price. the original seller probly missed a great thing after the sale.maybe the future property price value in the next year or two would be doubled. the seller missed out on something he didnt see until after the sale.

That is pretty major...

When I read that they offered to give cbr 50k to tear up the contract, then you have to know that the profits on something like that is massive. The question really is do you take 50k today, or 250k tomorrow. The back end could be so massive that there's no way that you take the 50k.
