Wow you are such an inspiration to me. I am too striving to be successful in wholesaling deals. One thing that stumps me though, when do you collect your check. When the investor signs the assignment contract or at closing?

Carol, your story is such an inspiration for me. I am currently scratching the bottom of the barrel. My remodeling business has gone capput. Im barely surviving and couldnt even get my kids christmas gifts this year. But I did go to the book store and buy Be A REAL ESTATE MILIONAIRE and Ive been through Zig and Tony and I have the will but need the knowledge but im reading and reading and watching and hoping. I hope I can be half that successful this year!

Hi Vincent,well there are many more websites that a real estate based. They are not as established as the DG site. Most of them include teaching on how to invest and not so much interactive as this site. You might be surprise that this site could make it big in the future. Carol that IS awesome!! You know I wasn't planning on posting anything on this site any time soon, but when I read your success above it really struck me and I couldn't resist your story!
I really understand the word 'nothing'. I also have absolutely NO experience in real estate AT ALL. I have never - ever done ANYTHING related to real estate before. And it feels like the odds are stacked against me. And it is VERY hard to keep yourself motivated, so there is plenty of room for doubt and fear.
But hearing your story is awesome! I mean down to your last $30! That is like eye opening stuff. Shocking! And then to hear your success! WOW! I mean that IS unbelieveable!
Recently I saw a video on the internet which had some pretty amazing motivating stuff on it. I have some notes I took from it and I'm going to share some of those notes on this forum in a minute. (I have to go get them.)

Hey, I just wrote the above post about an hour ago (from Reno, Nevada) and then I went to get my notes, also I JUST saw Dean's video! I didn't even know you WON!!

Here are some notes I took from a video I saw on the internet recently. It was floating around during Christmas time. Maybe some of you have seen it. It was 39 minutes long and it had some major stars in it. Somebody everybody heard of.

Apparently envisioning the end result you want is important. Similar data is contained in THE SECRET. The video had three extemely successful people in it. The main speaker went on to say: "...Everybody has rituals. Certain things they do everyday. And what we three here have in common (referring to himself & company) and anybody that I know of that has a life that was once a vision, is we saw it again & again & again." "Even when it didn't work. Even when you lost $100.000." "Even when I'm working as a janitor. There's something we would NOT give up on." "And if somebody's watching (this video) and they want to change their life, they gotta decide what they won't give up on." "And then put themselves in a state of momentum by a couple little rituals..."
"...So someone will say to me, 'well I'm skeptical or I'm pestimistic' and my response to them is, NO MAN. You're gutless!." "It takes no guts to be skeptical. You don't have to have any capacity to be a critic." ... "I said, you know what? It takes GUTS to believe." "And if you think something's going to do it for you without you putting your guts on the line, you might as well forget it right now!" "So this idea that 'I'm skeptical' or 'they gotta prove it to me, it's the Biggest Lie! ...."

The rest will tell a story about why it didn't work and how it wasn't their fault. You got two things in life. You got results or you got a story."
